Daniel had arched a brow at Jake Long shaking his head and running a hand through his hair, "Well kid I have to go, see I actually have important things to do like impress people."

"Yo that's messed up, man. I have important things to do to!" Jake had snapped out of his wizard thinking glaring at the good looking man, "Wait a minute why did you tell me who you were?"

"Our kind has to stick together." He stated  bluntly, "I'll see you around." Daniel then walked off with a small hum.

Jake shook his head and went to his friends to complain only to find Daniel with them making them laugh.
"Jakey get this, Daniel does sports..!"
"Really?" Jake asked unamused

"I also play instruments, I play video games, I sew, and many other things." he stated with a hum.

"Whoa dude, that's like super cool, do you ride skateboards?" Spud asked already on Daniel's side.

"I'm afraid I don't, I never was allowed to ride one."

"Aw, that's a real bummer."

"Oh, I just got an idea!" Trixie suddenly exclaimed.

"You did?" Spud asked.

"Yeah, we can teach Daniel how to ride."

Daniel smiled, "I would be honored, we can do it at my place on Friday."

"I thought we were going to see that new movie on Friday." Jake piped up a little bit of jealousy in his voice and a hint of anger.

"What you talking about Jake?" Trixie asked confusion evident in her face.

"Yeah man, we weren't going to see a movie this Friday." Spud was also confused.

"It seems you all have something to talk about, here's my number and address if you decide to come over." The purple haired student then walked off a small smirk on his face. As he walked away he had made his way to Rose asking her things about the school and about her life and aspirations. It was a pleasant conversation, but what Rose didn't know was that Daniel would remember every detail she told him. As he was in class he began to doodle but was caught by Rotwood.

"Mr. Short! What are you doing?" he asked looking down at him.

Daniel looked up at him and only gave him a smile, "Sir I was only drawing you winning a Nobel prize for your discovery of magical creatures." he held up the picture.

"Oh, I um." he took the picture, "I'm keeping this."

"Go ahead sir, it is for you anyway." Daniel then looked back at his notebook and continued to draw knowing he had just won the favor of Rotwood.

At the end of school, Daniel walked off the campus and to his house. Spotting Rose he smiled, "Hey Rose."

"Oh hey, Daniel." 

"I was thinking about something today." 

"Oh yeah? What's that?" she asked

"This school seems a bit disorganized with its teachers and such."

"I hadn't noticed." she laughed softly making Daniel laugh softly as well.

"Anyway, I was wondering if you would like to come over, say, Saturday?"

"That sounds fun, but I might be busy that day." she apologized.

"Its no problem." he smiled handing her a card before walking off.

"That guy is such a showoff!" Jake had finally let loose in front of his friends, "I mean seriously, he's clearly flirting with Rose, he's gotten the favor of Rotwood just by drawing him a stupid picture - I'm pretty sure he did that just to avoid getting in trouble - he's already in close with you two and I'm pretty sure my job as Am Drag will be compromised if, " he stopped an idea coming to his head, a wicked smirk coming to his face, "That's it...this can all be avoided by doing one simple thing."

"Jakely, whatever you're thinking stop thinking it right now." Trixie warned.

Jake laughed a little and shook his head looking at her, "I know what to do with Daniel Short."

"Uhh, what's that dude?" Spud asked frankly scared for his friend's sanity.

"I'll turn him into the Huntsclan before he can cause any more damage." he responded with a wicked grin on his face his eyes filled with contempt and sudden determination.

Hey everyone! Sorry for this not getting updated in a really long time! However, I have gotten to be a much better author in the years I was gone so look forward to seeing much more Daniel Short and pray for him because Jake has lost his mind.
