26 Year old Brandon Meacham used to be mischievous, A born trouble maker or so people thought. All that seemed to change the very moment he laid eyes on Ada Adams.

Out of all the girls in college that constantly threw themselves at him, He chose her. The girl with most beautiful long blonde hair and with a beautiful white smile. She often hid her hair over her face to cover her imperfections which were her freckles.

If anything, Ada was a girl that was desperate to hide in the shadows and fit in. She most definitely didn't want to be noticed.

But Brandon looked past all that and did everything he could to make her feel special and to come out of the shadows.

It was safe to say all his hard work paid off, Because nearly three months after meeting they began to date eachother.

Another three months after that they decided it was time to call themselves boyfriend and girlfriend.

Ada evolved from the Shy, Nervous girl to a confident bubbly and blissfully happy girl. She certainly never expected to end up with a Boyfriend.

Brandon was just as happy with her and felt like there could be a real future in it for the both of them.

But then one day, Everything changed, The very moment Clive Powers stepped into the College for the first time.

Suddenly Ada went from being happy with her boyfriend to ignoring him and checking the new guy out.

After College one day

Clive was in his bedroom lying in bed next to a very hot and naked Ada. "Ada, Are you sure this is a good idea because if Brandon finds we're definitely dead."

Ada sits up and sighs, "Clive You've gotta relax okay?, He most definitely isn't going to find out."

Clive looks at her doubting her words. "Look, We don't know What he's capable of, We already know how much he controls you and tells you how to dress and all that not to mention he follows you around like a crazed love-Sick Puppy or something."

Ada places her hand on his. "Okay, You have a point, I'll be careful. Just try not to worry..He most certainly won't find out from me."

He runs his other hand through his hair worriedly. "That's not the bloody point Ada, He's already suspicious enough as it is. When is he gonna stop asking questions huh? Until he's beaten up every kid in college looking for answers?"

Ada shakes her head, "He isn't like that, Okay, He has his issues I'll admit and he has been a little jealous of all the other guys lately but he isn't the violent type."

She gets up to get dressed into her Jeans and T-shirt. She was almost ready to leave when Clive grabs her hand. "You don't know that, Think about it Ada, How well do you really know him?"

She leaves his Apartment walking down the stairs to exit the front door.

Ada walks through the rain with Clive's last words ringing in her head, "Think about it Ada, How well do you really know him?"

It suddenly struck her that she didn't know him. Not really, All their time together he spent giving her chocolates and buying her pretty dresses and other clothes. He did not once speak about himself nor of his past.

With a horrified thought she realised she was wooed by a complete and utter stranger and she was a fool enough to fall for it.

The next day at College

Brandon stood there outside Ada's classroom with one of his legs against the wall. He sees her come out the classroom and grabs her.

He takes her down the corridor to an empty abandoned classroom. "Brandon, What the hell are you doing?!"

He blocks the doorway with his arms folded. "A better question might be, Where the hell were you last night?"

Ada strutters, "I was at home, Why?"

He yells. " Wrong! I tried calling you all night and I even called your mother and she said you wasn't there. So where were you? You was with him wasn't you?"

Ada looks at him in fear. ""I have no Idea what you're talking about."

Ada had no idea what was going to happen next. She realised that she put herself in danger and Clive did nothing but warn her but she didn't listen.

She refused to believe that Brandon was capable of violence but then again we are all capable of something aren't we? It's just a matter of time before someone shows their true colours.

Here she was backed up into a corner with her lies unraveling before her.

There was of course no chance of rescue or was there?
Suddenly Clive burst through the Door. He looks at Brandon angrily, "Leave her alone!"

Brandon pushes Clive towards the wall next to the door. "So It's you that's been sleeping with my girl is it?"

Clive looks at Brandon with his eyes wide in horror, "What are you talking about?"

Brandon shakes his head in disbelief, "You could've just admitted it."

All of a sudden, Clive comes into contact with blow after blow which makes him collapse onto the ground. He looks up at Brandon and his bloody fist. He faces Ada and pleads with her, "Please just tell him! For God's sake just tell him."

Brandon turns to Ada in anger and spits his words with Venom, "Tell me what?"

Ada struggles to get her words out, "Well the thing is, Me and Clive have been sort of seeing each other."

He yells in her face. I knew it! I knew you've been cheating on me. "

Ada cower's in fear afraid of what he was going to do next, Was he going to hit her?

What he did next surprised both Ada and Clive. They watch as he punches a wall and looks at them both in anger then leaves the room leaving both Clive and Ada alone.

Ada collapses down by Clive's side on the floor and breathes shakily, "Now what are we going to do?"

He grabs her hand. "I'm going to look after you I promise, No matter what." He leads her shaking body out the classroom and down the corridor to the main entrance.

He tries the door but it was locked so he punches his hand into the window causing his hand to bleed then carefully takes it out.

He walks over to the broom cupboard behind them and takes out a broom. He turns it around using the other end to poke the remaining glass away. he drops the broom and he picks Ada up.

Ada looks at him nervously, "Are you sure this is safe?" He nods and lifts her up higher and through the glass onto the ground outside. "Be careful, There's still glass outside, I'll be right back." He leaves out of Ada's field of view.

Ada was terrified at the thought of being left alone but he quickly returned with a chair and leant it against the door. He climbs up onto the chair through the window then takes Ada by the hand and walk down the street.

They stop for a moment spotting Brandon down the bottom of the street. Clive realised he must've exited out the fire door that was rumoured to be out of action meaning with no fire alarms and was always open not that the Lecturer's would admit that to their students.

He turns Ada to him, "Look Ada there's something I have to tell you."

Ada frowns "What is it?, Whatever it is, it can't be worse than whatever we've just experienced."

He thinks to himself, "Yeah, being beat up by a mad psychotic guy who's just found out he's been cheated on is definitely worse but you have to tell her so stop being a coward and tell her!"

He takes a deep breath, "Look the truth is we've been seeing each other for a while now and I didn't want to say anything or put a label on this whole thing, You know, Being as complicated as it is but the truth is I love you Ada."

She smiles and hits him playfully. "Took you long enough!" She flings her arms around him and kisses him. "I love you too."

He breaks free from the kiss and sees Brandon there still watching. He puts his arm around her and stares back at Brandon making a solemn promise,
He was going to protect her no matter what and he was going to find a way to help Brandon with his issues.

The next day

The next day, The Lecturer's were horrified at the amount of damaged that had been caused the night before. So they checked the cctv and called in Brandon,Clive and Ada.

Each of them in turn gave their version of events and then the Lecturer's and the head of the College decided to kick Brandon off his art course and ban him from this college.

Clive and Ada both pleaded with them not to involve the Police. Clive made it clear to them that he didn't want to press charges.

The Lecturer's and the head of the College decided to inform the Police and inform them they would not be pressing charges in regards to the damges and that another student didn't want to press charges against Brandon for the assault and they decided to leave it as that.

Ada and Brandon and Clive left the office and college together and walked over to Brandon's car. He packs all his things in the car but stops for a moment, He shakes Clive's hand. "Thanks for sticking up for me back there, I'm really sorry about beating you up yesterday."

Clive smiles, "Thanks, You're apology means a lot, If there's anything I can do for you, Please let me know."

Brandon shrugs and removes his hand, "I appreciate that but I don't know what I'm going to do now, I doubt another college would take me not after this black mark on my record but I suppose I deserve it, After all, It was my own stupid fault."

Ada looks at him in tears, "I'm so sorry we never meant to hurt you."

He nodded and hugs her. "I know..but I'm glad you did, This whole experience really opened my eyes. I wasn't a very good boyfriend to you was I?"

Ada and Clive shift around uncomfortably at the question and stares at him in silence. Brandon knew exactly what the answer was because of them both refusing to answer the question, Actions really did speak louder than words.

He turns to Clive, "Promise me something? Look after her, She's pretty amazing."

Clive smiles like he was the luckiest guy in the world, "I will, Don't you worry about that."

He puts his arm around her and watches as Brandon enters his car and drives away.

As he watches Brandon drive away he promised himself that he was going to protect Ada and help Brandon somehow, No matter what.
