AN INEVITABLE INTRUDER

CHAPTER 25

SAMEER...

Everyone turned towards the source of the voice who was standing right behind Kartik. Kamya & Hema froze while Kartik's reaction was far beyond shocked. "SUNAINA...", he whispered... She just smiled sweetly at him & walked towards us. She hugged me & Naina together & turned to face them.

"Mr Kartik Singhania... Mujhe dekhkar itna chaunk gaye ki halak se awaaz bhi nahi nikal rahi?" She turned to Kamya & without any warning, she slapped her hard. The impact of that sudden slap made Kamya stumble & she fell down on the ground. Frankly speaking, I hadn't expected Sunaina to slap her but what can I say about my ex-wife.

Hema looked horrified with sudden change of events as she too had never expected her to do this. Kartik came forward & was about to hit his girlfriend but she held his hand strongly before he could touch her cheek. Within a second, she left his hand & slapped him too. I was too stunned to see how this girl had changed & was standing for herself without anyone's help.

"Mr Kartik Singhania... Tumhare yeh gandhe haath mujhse durr hi rakhna tum. Mujhe itni ghinn aa rahi hai na tumse ki main kya bataun." He stood up & before he could take a step towards Sunaina, I stood between them, protecting her. He yelled, "Sunaina... Tum aisa kaise kar sakti ho mere saath? Main tumhara boyfriend hun, tum jaanti ho na ki main tumse kitna pyaar karta hun? Fir tumne aisa kyun kiya mere saath Sunaina? Bolo..."

Sunaina stood by my side & laughed, "Boyfriend??? Kaun boyfriend??? Tum... tum khud ko mera boyfriend keh rahe ho? Really???" He looked confused at the way Sunaina was behaving with him. He tried again, "Dekho Sunaina... Tum meri girlfriend ho aur main tumse bohot pyaar karta hun. Jaise hi mujhe yeh partnership mil jaati, main tumhe shaadi ke liye propose karnewala tha. Main sach keh raha hun Sunaina, please mera yakeen karo."

Sunaina laughed again, confusing him furthermore, "Pyaar... Tum mujhse pyaar karte ho? Mujhse shaadi karna chaahte ho? Par tumhari harkaton se mujhe aisa nahi lagaa. Infact, accha hi hua ki sahi time par mujhe tumhari asliyat nazar aa gayi warna shaayad tumhari har baat par yakeen kar leti main, jaise peechle kuch time se karti aa rahi hun."

Kartik fumbled for words, "Kya... kya bakwaas kar rahi ho Sunaina? Kaunsi asliyat ki baat kar rahi ho tum?" She took a step ahead & pulled Hema in front of him, "Iss asliyat ki baat kar rahi hun main..." And he froze. Hema lowered her head in front of us while Kartik sweated badly. What was going on? I & Naina shared a look as we didn't understand what Sunaina was talking about? She hadn't told me anything about this.

Sunaina continued, "Tumhe kya lagaa Kartik ki mujhe kabhi kuch pataa nahi chalega? Main tumhe andhi nazar aa rahi hun kya? Mujhe sab acche se dikhaayi de raha hai peechle kuch dinon se, par main chup rahi kyunki dekhna chahti ki tum aage aur kya kya karte ho. Mujhe tumse jyada khudpar sharam aa rahi hai ki maine itne saalon se tumhara saath diya, tumhari baaton mein aati rahi aur apni zindagi barbaad karti rahi."

Mr Vijay Mittal asked, "Sunaina... Aisa kya hua ki tumhe Kartik par se bharosa uth gaya? Tum dono kitne bohot time se saath ho, fir achanak kya hua?" Before she could reply, Kartik held her hand & dragged her, "Hum aapas mein baat kar lenge, yahaan sab ke saamne tamasha karne ki zarurat nahi hai."

But Sunaina wasn't the weak girl as she was before. She stopped him & jerked her hand away from his hold. "Kartik... Ab aapas mein baat karne jaisa kuch bacha hi nahi hai. Ab jo bhi hoga, wohh yahin hoga, sab ke saamne." Before he could do anything, Munna & Pandit held him from behind.

"Chodo mujhe... Munna... Pandit... tum jaante nahi main kaun hun?" Munna replied, "Haannn... haaannnn... hum bohot acche se jaante hai ki tu kaun hai aur ab toh sab tujhe acche se jaanne lage hai. Tu chup chaap khada reh, warna jis tango par tu khada hai na usse hume todne mein do second bhi nahi lagenge." Pandit continued, "Jyada hil mat ab warna jo Munna ne abhi kahaa usse sach karne mein hume jyada der nahi lagegi."

Kartik pleaded, "Sunaina... Please... yahaan se chalte hai aur ghar jaakar shanti se sab suljha lenge." Sunaina shrieked, "Main tumhare saath kahin nahi jaa rahi Kartik. Mujhe tumhare saath ab rehna hi nahi hai."

She turned to Mr Vijay Mittal, "Main sab bataati hun... Main Kartik ko bohot saalon se jaanti hun Vijay Sir aur fir meri shaadi zabardasti Sameer se ho gayi. Main shaadi karna hi nahi chaahti thi, isliye jab shaadi ke baad main waapis Kartik se milne lagi, toh mujhe uska saath accha lagne lagaa. Sameer toh waise bhi mujhse durr hi rehta tha, ek kamre mein rehne ke bawajud hamare beech pati patniwala koi rishta nahi tha. Main jaanti thi ki Sameer ne bhi yeh shaadi kisi dabaav mein hi ki thi, isliye kabhi hamare beech ek married couple wala rishta bana hi nahi."

"Par fir jaise jaise main Kartik ke saath rehne lagi, time bitaane lagi, mujhe wohh pasand aane laga aur jab Sameer ne sabke saamne mujhse divorce maanga toh main maan bhi gayi, kyunki main Kartik ke saath rehna chahti thi. Maine Kartik ke behkaave mein aakar Sameer ko divorce de diya aur uske saath rehne lagi."

"Shuruwaat mein hamare beech sab accha hi tha, par jaise jaise Kartik ek ke baad ek apne saare contracts khone lagaa tab wohh Sameer se aur bhi nafrat karne lagaa. Pehle mujhe lagta tha ki shaayad uski wajah main hun par nahi wajah toh kuch aur hi thi. Kartik ko Sameer pehle se hi pasand nahi tha, yaa yun kahun ki Sameer ki kamyaabi se jalta tha."

"Kartik ko har wohh cheez chahiye thi jo Sameer ke paas hoti hai, aur main unmein se hi ek hun. Kartik mere saath isliye nahi tha ki main usse pasand thi ya usse mujhse koi pyaar tha. Usne mujhe apne paas sirf isliye rakha taaki wohh Sameer ko dikha sake ki maine Sameer ke upar Kartik ko chuna. Yeh baat samajne mein mujhe bhi kaafi time lag gaya."

She turned to me, "Sameer... ab aisa lagta hai ki maine tumse divorce lekar meri zindagi ki sabse badi galti kar di. Mere Nanaji sahi kehte the ki tumse accha jeevan saathi mujhe kabhi mil hi nahi sakta tha. Par khair jo ho gaya wohh ho gaya, usse hum badal nahi sakte. Par ab main aage koi galti nahi karna chaahti, isliye maine tumhe milne bulaaya tha aur tumhe bataaya ki kaun tumhare company ke sab secrets Kartik ko bataata tha."

FLASHBACK...

Sunaina had gone out for shopping when Hema & Kamya had come to meet Kartik after they were successful in stealing the first presentation & getting shortlisted for the Mittal Empire's partnership.

Kartik shouted, "Aisa kaise ho sakta hai? Kamya tumne Sameer ka presentation churaaya tha, fir aise kaise hamare presentation alag ho gaye? Main kisi bhi haal mein yeh partnership jeetna chaahta hun. Par ab waapis mujhe Sameer ke saamne khada hona padega."

Kamya replied, "Kartik... mujhe lagta hai ki Sameer aur Naina ne dusra presentation ek backup ke liye banaaya hoga, isliye toh unhone last moment presentation kab change kar liya, yeh mujhe pataa hi nahi chala. Yeh Naina aur Sameer ek kadam aage hi rehte hai hamesha. Mujhe lagaa tha ki issi partnership se unki haar ki shuruwaat hogi par aisa nahi hua. Yeh dono ke dimaag kaafi aage chalte hai humse."

Hema spoke, "Sahi kahaa Kamya... Kuch jyada hi durr ki sochte hai dono isliye toh itni aasaani se hume bewakoof banaa diya aur apna presentation change kar diya. Kamya... Tumhe ab chaukanna ho jaana chahiye, kahin wohh tumpar shakk na kar baithe. Unhe zara bhi shak hua na toh hamari saari mehnat par paani fir jaayega."

Kamya laughed, "Sameer aur Naina kabhi sapne mein bhi mujhpar shak nahi kar sakte. Itne saal se imaandaar rahi hun toh Sameer ko mujhpar shak nahi hoga aur Naina toh mujhe apna dost maanti hai, toh wohh bhi aisa kuch nahi kar sakti. Aur baaki sab toh bewakoof hai, unhe kabhi kuch bhi pataa nahi chalega."

Sunaina who had left for shopping had returned home as she wasn't feeling well. She had heard their whole conversation & was shocked that Kartik was using Kamya & the other girl to steal the presentation & quotation from Sameer's company. She stood behind the door & continued hearing their plan of stealing Sameer's presentation again.

When the girls left, Sunaina rushed to the other room & hid till she saw the other girl returning back to Kartik. Her anger rose when she saw them naked & making out in his bedroom. She almost ran to the nearest washroom & puked out.

When she came back, she heard them talking, "Kartik... Hum kab tak aise rahenge? Hum dono ek dusre se kitne saalon se pyaar karte hai par fir bhi saath nahi reh sakte. Tum Sunaina ko ab tak kyun jhel rahe ho, usse apni zindagi se baahar nikaal do Kartik. Main tumhe uske saath ab aur nahi dekh sakti. Please Sunaina ko chod do aur fir mujhse shaadi kar lo."

Kartik kissed her hard, "Jaanta hun jaaneman, par abhi main Sunaina ko nahi chod sakta, jab tak main Sameer ko poori tarah se tabaah na kar dun tab tak mujhe Sunaina ko apne paas rakhna hai. Aur tum kya chaahti ho ki yeh jo shaan aur shaukat mein reh raha hun, usse aise hi jaane dun. Ek baar yeh partnership mujhe mil jaaye aur main Sunaina se shaadi karke uski saari property mere naam kar lun, uske baad main usse dhakke maar kar iss ghar se nikaal dunga. Sweetheart... tab tak hume aise hi chupchupkar milna hoga."

The ground beneath Sunaina shifted & she was devastated hearing what her so called boyfriend was saying. She had never imagined that he would do this to her, cheat her so badly. She was so much broken that she couldn't face herself. She left from his house & called up Sameer.

Sameer was shocked to see her name on his mobile's screen. He picked up the call & after hearing the sobs on the other side, he decided to meet her at her apartment. When Sameer heard the whole truth from her, his trust was shattered. How could Kamya do this to him & his company? How could she betray him like that & behave so innocent & hard working in front of him?

At first, he wasn't ready to believe but then he started to observe her & then kept a track on her. He indeed found out later that she was in touch with Kartik. Sunaina wasn't aware about Hema's name so she just informed him that someone else was also helping Kamya & Kartik.

And from there, Sameer had been aware about Kamya's & Kartik's motive. Just a day before submitting the presentation, he had asked Sunaina to let him know about Kartik's whereabouts. She was the one who was at Sameer's side since they were shortlisted for Mittal Empire's partnership & she had learnt about the truth.

Sunaina kept in touch with Sameer, informing him about Kartik every now & then.

FLASHBACK ENDS...

Kartik, Hema & Kamya were stunned to silence after Sunaina revealed the whole truth in front of Mr Vijay Mittal, the police crew & all the guests present in that party. The media too had recorded everything & were live presenting all the details about the cheating done by Kartik Singhania & the girls.

Mr Vijay Mittal & Sameer had already filed a treachery case on all the three before the party had started. The police inspector took Kartik, Kamya & Hema in their van. Naina hugged Sunaina & thanked her for her help. Sunaina smiled widely & hugged her back, "Naina... tum bohot lucky ho ki tumhe Sameer jaisa pyaar karnewaala jeevan saathi mil raha hai. Uska saath kabhi mat chodna... Sameer ki aankhon mein dikhta hai ki wohh tumse kitna pyaar karta hai. Naina... agar kabhi maine tumhe kuch jaane anjaane mein kuch bhala bura keh diya ho, toh mujhe maaf kar dena. All the best Naina for the beautiful future ahead. Stay happy..."

She turned to me, "Sameer... Maine shaadi ke baad tumhare saath aur tumhari family ko jaisa treat kiya uske liye I'm really very sorry. Main naasamaj thi isliye tumhe nahi pehchaan paayi aur Kartik ko chuna. Par kehte hai na ki jo hota hai wohh acche ke liye hi hota hai. Agar hum alag na hue hote toh tumhe Naina jaisi itni pyaar karnewaali ladki kabhi na milti. All the best Sameer... aur ho sake toh mujhe maaf kar dena."

I hugged her too, "Tumhe maafi maangne ki zarurat nahi hai Sunaina... Jo beet gaya wohh waqt waaapis toh nahi aayega. Toh poorani baatein bhool jaate hai aur ek nayi shuruwaat karte hai. Tum... tum apna aur Nanaji ka khayaal rakhna. Aur kabhi bhi meri zarurat pade toh bina kisi jijak ke mujhe call karna. Tumne jo hamari madad ki hai uske liye thank you Sunaina. Agar tum sahi time par mujhe sab na bataati toh hume Kamya ka sach kabhi pataa hi nahi chalta. "

Sunaina replied, "Don't mention it Sameer... Maine wohi kiya jo mujhe sahi lagaa aur karna chahiye tha. Chalo ab main chalti hun, main Nanaji ko lekar thode din ke liye New York apni maasi ke ghar jaa rahi hun. Waapis aakar tum sab se milungi." She left bidding us goodbye & we all happily let her go.

We signed the partnership agreements which were already made two weeks back. The party continued & after half an hour, Vijay uncle cut the birthday cake & we all happily cheered on. We left towards our home after midnight, happy & content.

That night I was finally relieved that all the truth had come out & our plan had worked successfully. I was really thankful to everyone who had helped me & supported me throughout this bad phase. When we reached home, Nanu & Maa were very much happy as finally all the drama was over.

Our friends had gone to their homes directly from Vijay uncle's house. Nanu & Maa retired to their rooms while I & Naina went to the terrace directly. As usual Naina leaned on my shoulder & I slipped my hand around her waist.

The direct contact of my palm with her skin made her shudder in my arms. I kept rubbing her skin with my fingers while she just snuggled closer to me. "Sameer... Aaj finally sach sabke saamne baahar aa hi gaya. Maine kabhi sapne mein nahi socha tha ki Kamya aisa kuch kar sakti hai. Maine usse meri itni acchi friend manaa tha aur usne meri ussi dosti ka mazaak banaa ke rakh diya. Har ek kadam par wohh hume cheat kar rahi thi."

I replied, "Naina... Mujhe bhi yakeen hi nahi hua tha jab Sunaina ne mujhe Kamya ke baare mein bataaya tha. Itne saal se acche se kaam kar rahi thi, isliye mujhe uspar shak hi nahi hua. Sunaina ke bataane ke baad maine uspar nazar rakhna shuru kiya aur tab mujhe pataa chala ki wohh Kartik ke saath mili hui, bas koi thos saboot nahi tha yeh sab saabit karne ke liye, isliye sahi mauke ka intezaar kiya."

"Aur Hema... chiii... aisi ladkiyan bhi duniya mein hoti hai wohh aaj maine dekh liya. Pehle lagaa ki Kamya uski dosti ka faayda utha rahi hai par yahaan toh wohh khud hi Kamya ka faayda utha rahi thi. Mujhe toh ab tak yakeen nahi ho raha hi Kamya ne hamare baare mein rumors failaane ko kahaa tha. Kitna neeche gir gayi thi wohh humse badla lene ke liye."

Naina continued, "Haannn... yakeen toh mujhe bhi nahi hua Sameer par jab usne khud yeh kahaa toh yakeen karna pada. Koi aur yeh sab kehta toh hum shaayad believe na kar paate. Hai na???" I looked at her sad eyes, "Haannn... par jab wohh yeh sab bol rahi thi naa tab mann kar raha tha ki usse khinchkar do thappad lagaa dun. Agar wohh ladka hoti na, toh usse pataa chalta ki Sameer Maheshwari ki biwi se aisa barataav karne ka nateeja kya hota hai."

She smiled & hugged me tightly, "Biwi nahi... honewali biwi... Chalo... ab yeh sab chodo. Mudde ki baat par aate hai." I looked at her in confusion & she smiled, "Congratulations Sameer... hume finally Mittal Empire ki partnership mil hi gayi." I kissed her on her forehead, "Congratulations to you too Jaan... Agar tum mera saath na deti toh shaayad main yeh sab akela nahi kar paata." "Sameer... hamare saath saath hamare doston ne bhi bohot mehnat ki hai. Yeh jeet sirf hamari nahi hai, hum sab ki hai."

I agreed, "Sahi kahaa Naina... yeh jeet hum sab ki hai aur hume yeh jeet manaani chahiye, hai na?" "Haann bilkul... Hum kal hi party karenge, Vijay uncle aur Rekha aunty ko bhi invite karenge Sameer." We decided to party the next evening for our success & enjoy with our close family & friends.

As Naina got up to leave, I pulled her in my arms. "Aise kaise jaa sakti ho tum Naina???" She looked confused & I continued, "Ab tak humne ek dusre ko thik se congratulate nahi kiya hai Naina..." I said eyeing her luscious lips & she stood on her tiptoes & kissed me hungrily.

I had neither expected her to initiate the kiss nor dominate it. She stole my breath away with her passionate kiss. When we came up for air, my lips still tingled with the effect of her kiss. I was stunned to see the desire flooding her eyes which was igniting the same craving in my body too.

I picked her up in a bridal style & carried her towards my room. As we entered the room, I shut the door with my foot while she locked it. Our eyes remained fixed on each other while I put her down slowly. I took a step away & let my eyes wander over her curves. She looked stunning in that pink shimmer saree.

She lowered her eyes & turned around to stand in front of the mirror. I removed my suit & threw it away on the couch while her eyes stayed glued on my actions. I opened the buttons of my shirt one by one looking at her reflection in the mirror. She didn't even wink once all the time & kept staring at me.

When I opened the last button of my shirt, her eyes moved down slowly & I saw her gawking at my bare chest. I didn't remove the shirt & let it hang on my body. I took few steps towards her & stood right behind her, our eyes locked on each other's reflection. I held her by her shoulders & moved her hair to one side.

My breath hitched watching her backless blouse which gave me an ample view of her bare back. Her silky soft creamy skin made me yearn for her more. Closing my eyes, I controlled my desires & she leaned in to touch my bare chest with her bare back. My body burnt with her sudden move.

"Naina...", her name escaped my lips & she hummed in response. My guttural voice sounded alien to me as my control was snapping fast with just her mere touch. I wasn't in my senses anymore when I pulled her close to me. When I opened my eyes to see our reflection in the mirror, I was dumbstruck seeing the view in front of me.

Naina was unpinning the pallu of her saree & I saw the pallu falling down in a swift movement. All the air whooshed out of my lungs as I saw her reflection in the mirror. She slowly undid her saree in front of me & whispered huskily, "Ab iss saree mein toh nahi so sakti na?"

I couldn't believe that this was my sweet innocent naïve Naina. When did she turn into this seducing queen? My erotic heartbeats accelerated watching her undo her saree right in front of me. Once she was done, she bundled up the saree & kept in on the chair ahead. Turning around, she whispered again, "Ab sone chale? Mujhe bohot neend aa rahi hai..."

I cursed myself for bringing this bold fiancé to my room now. She was surely going to be the death of me tonight. When I didn't move, she pulled me towards the bed & I stuttered, "Main... main... change karke aata hun." I rushed in the washroom while I heard her chuckle behind me.

After five minutes I was back in the room to see another surprise. Naina had changed into my black t-shirt that ended right above her knees. She looked damn cute in this new dress-up & I promised myself that she would always wear my t-shirts to bed after marriage. I blushed when I questioned myself further, did she need anything to wear at bed with me?

Her voice broke my naughty thoughts, "Sameer... Let's sleep..." I nodded & joined her on bed. I cuddled her & we drifted to sleep in each other's soothing embrace. All the desires & needs could wait till marriage which was due in next month.

When I woke up, I missed her presence in my room. It was already ten in the morning when I opened my eyes. Naina would've left before anyone could walk into my room. I freshened up quickly & joined Nanu & Maa in the living room. When I didn't find my hot fiancé with them, I asked desperately, "Maa... Naina kahaan hai? Kab se dikhi nahi?"

Nanu replied, "Lo aa gayi tumhari Naina..." I blushed at that & my eyes locked with hers. She greeted everyone & left towards the kitchen with Maa to bring breakfast for us. While having breakfast, I told Nanu & Maa about the party & they were very happy with it. Nanu, Maa & Naina invited our friends & close families while I made all the arrangements for the party tonight.

We kept busy the whole day with the preparations for the party. Our friends too joined us after lunch & the rest of the guests would come for the party in the evening directly. We all kept chatting & enjoying while helping out with the decorations. It was already evening by the time we finished & we left to dress up for the party.

When I entered my room, I saw a black three-piece suit already kept on the bed. I knew it had to be Naina who had taken it out for me. I freshened up quickly & got ready in the next half an hour. The guests had started coming in. Nanu & Maa received the guests while I kept myself busy in mingling with them.

It was more than twenty minutes but there was no trace of my beloved fiancé. My friends understood my restlessness & teased, "Sameer... Aa jaayegi Bhabhi... taiyaar hone mein thodi der toh lagti hai na?" I stood there with a fake smile plastered on my face while my heart was waiting for his better half.

After few moments, I felt her presence & I immediately turned to face her. She stood right at the entrance of the garden dressed up in a red netted saree. I walked towards her in hasty steps & engulfed her in a warm hug, "Aaj fir se kayamat dhaa rahi hai aap, Mrs Naina Sameer Maheshwari..."

The color on her cheeks matched her saree & she replied, "Kya karun Mr Sameer Maheshwari, mujhe bhi toh apne pati ke handsome looks ko match karna padta hai na?" Before I could reply, we heard someone clearing his throat behind us. We came face to face with Vijay uncle & Rekha aunty who were looking at us with teasing smiles.

They hugged us & congratulated us. We joined the party with them & throughout the party, I made sure that Naina stayed beside me. Everyone enjoyed the party happily while I glanced at my beautiful lovely fiancé who was sharing her favorite red velvet cake with me.
