.: the (sort-of) mangaka :. [M]
full name: "...? Who are you again?" ((Hirato Enomoto))
gender: "I'm male."
age: "Who's asking?" ((20))
personality: "Eh, well, more often than not my roommate has told me to live a little.." ((Hirato is what you could call the embodiment of an exhausted college student. As it goes, he's a little bit sour, irritable and pessimistic, and is frankly not one for much social interaction beyond his close friends and family members. Most people find it hard to differentiate his sarcasm from his seriousness, and, well, his somewhat snarky humor doesn't sit well with everyone. However, Hirato does soften up once he's comfortable with people. Though he'd never vocally admit it, he welcomes and enjoys affection, and doesn't mine returning it (albeit through very small actions, he's quite lowkey). In short, he's that one person who looks like he's about to murder everyone, but really he's just a teddy bear in need of a hug. And ten cups of coffee. And a week of sleep, probably.))
sexuality: "Well, that's more than a bit personal, don't you think?" ((biromantic grey-asexual))
nationality: "Born and raised in Japan."
ethnicity: "Well... Japanese?"
appearance:
(faceclaim: Sota Fushiki)
likes: "Art, manga, and soup." ((He enjoys visual art in all forms, whether it's sketching, painting, digital, sculpture, or collage. His art style encompasses Impressionism, surrealism, and the human face and figure. Additionally, he grew up watching tons of anime and reading many manga titles, which is what inspired him to start writing and illustrating his own manga during his years at university. Okay, let's face it... he is an actual nerd when it comes to anime and manga. Beyond these things, he enjoys hot soup, having the time to relax, writing, and sleeping. Also, he had a Samoyed growing up and loves big and fluffy dogs.))
dislikes: "Ehhhh...you know what? I don't like overly invasive questions." ((Hirato doesn't like feeling like he's out of control over himself or his life, as he is perfectly content with his own quiet way of doing what he wants to do. He also doesn't like it when he is on the receiving end of unconstructive criticism (who would?). At times he hates himself for being so quiet, or for snapping at people on occasion, or for not being the greatest at being affectionate, but in the end he just goes with it and hopes for the best. As for more material things, Hirato does not like the cold, being sick, staircases (he's tripped on them many a time), and having to wake up early.))
backstory: Hirato grew up in Sapporo, Japan, born to working-class parents. He was a happy little nerd child, and often met with his friends on the weekends to trade Pokémon cards or talk about new things that had come out or whatever else. Flash forward to now, when Hirato is starting on his second year of art school in Kyoto. He recently signed with a publisher after submitting a one-shot comic, and now he's trying to juggle school with pursuing his dream job.
other: "Since you don't seem to be leaving me be anytime soon, I'm working on writing something... a manga, actually. I hope people receive it well, I've been working pretty hard on it."
