I'm not in the mood to write it out, but the basic premise is this:

My character is a high school senior who got moved to SmallTown, USA after their parents went through a nasty divorce. School is about to start up, and they're pretty bummed about moving to this new place. In an effort to explore the area, they bike into town, where they find a resale book store. Taking a break from the summer heat, they search through the Philosophy section, looking for something interesting because they're a philosophy geek. This is where they meet your character.
