We ended up getting stuck in the small town because a snow storm that had rolled in. I was somewhat okay with it. Ed and Al were worried about Winry so they couldn't entertain me. And Kimblee was still mad so the only entertainment he could provide was a bombing.

"I hate this job."

"I spoke to Father about that. He has another option."

"Hello Pride. Does it involve killing?"

"No."

"Does it get me out of here?"

"It does. Father believes that we may have to put your fighting skills to use. He needs someone to watch Hohenheim."

"Father's twin?" I questioned. "The Elric's old man? Such a simple job for one who should be craving the crest."

"You did your job well in Ishbal so it seems only fair you get out of one job. Besides that's what Kimblee is for. There are already Central troops at Briggs."

"Alright, let me say goodbye then you can shadow guide me."

I left the little closet I was in, I made a small fire to keep me warm in there, and went to find Ed and Al. Kimblee was staring out the window with a dangerous look. I'll tell him that I'm leaving last.

"Miles where are the brothers?"

He led me into another room that thankfully had none of the men from Central.

"Hey guys."

"I thought you were just going to the bathroom or something. You were gone an hour."

"Sorry Ed. I was in a closet using my personal heater."

I created a large flame in my hand and then put it out again. Ed had almost fallen out of his seat trying to back up. I let out a small laugh.

"Was it the plan," I whispered "to have Winry taken by Scar?"

"Yeah. It was the only choice we had. They should be on the way back to Briggs now."

My eyes grew wide at the word Briggs.

"That place was just taken over by Central soldiers. Olivier must be gone. Another homunculus, Pride, just told me."

"Damn it. What are we supposed to do? It's a blizzard out there."

Ed balled up his fist. I thought for a moment then pointed to Al.

"Alphonse won't freeze. I can take him with me to the tunnel and we part ways. He makes it to the others, warns them, and Kimblee never says a word."

I didn't say it but he was bound to know something was up. If I wanted Al to come along he might let it slip until the storm cleared.

"Alright let's do it," Al agreed.

"Al we have to think this through," Ed argued.

"There's no time. Winry and the others will be in trouble if we don't do something now."

There was a silence between the two for a minute. Ed agreed.

"But where are you going Haru?"

"To babysit the old man. Your father," I added.

Ed did not ask anymore so I went to tell my partner in crime I was leaving. I know truly had to be curious of what the homunculi wanted with their father but Winry was more important. Finally maybe he will tell me something.

"Kimblee I got orders to go babysit. I'm taking Alphonse."

He turned to look at me with skepticism. Have I not been trustworthy so far?

"Orders from Pride," I threw in.

"I never met that one. And how do I know you're just not bored of sitting here?"

"I am bored. And babysitting was the only other job. They believe that you can handle things here."

Kimblee shooed me away and Al and I made our great escape.

"How do we get to the tunnel?" Al asked as we got outside.

I had a map but it was useless right now. I could barely see my own hand in front of my face.

"Pure luck I guess."

We did make it to the tunnel. Somehow. It was dark inside but I found a lantern for Al and lit it.

"You go that way. Here's the map. Good luck Al."

"Wait Haru, how will you know where you're going?"

"I have an escort waiting for me."

I kicked down a door that was blocked off and hopped inside. This tunnel was extremely dark. I lit a fire and nearly jumped out of my skin. Pride's shadows were all over the walls of the tunnel.

"If you did that to a human they'd die of a heart attack. Which way?"

The eyes looked one way so I assumed that was the way to go. It was complete silence with Pride. Maybe he was doing something else as well right now. Must be hard playing the part of Wrath's kid.

Getting bored I started running through the tunnel. If I concentrated hard enough maybe some superhuman speed would kick in. After running for a bit I realized that I could not tell if I was going anywhere fast. The scenery was the same and endless.

"Oh my gosh am I there yet?" I yelled out.

"Not really."

I sighed and started walking again.

------Time skip, because long walks are boring------

"So wanting to eat right now," I whinned.

I made it to Liore. There was sun and heat again. But no food in my belly. If I die of starvation do I regenerate back again?

"Excuse me Miss?"

I looked in the direction of the voice. It was the girl Al was with when I first met the Elric's again. Well I noticed her first. As I was running to hug tackle her, because she was the only person I recognized, I fell. Or I was tripped.

"Thanks a lot you-,"

I cut myself off when I saw the old man.

"You're one hard man to get to Hohenheim."

"I am?"

"You are. I had to walk all the way from Briggs to get here."

Rose gave me food after I finished complaining about my journey. It was a short spill but it felt good to get off my chest.

"What brings you to Liore exactly?"

I paused for a moment.

"Not sure exactly. Father just wanted me to keep an eye on you. Are you able to explain what's going on?"

Despite being a homunculus myself I never knew what the end game was. A stone made some sense but Father seemed to have enough.

"Are you familiar with the legend of Xerxes?"

"Some. It was wiped out in one night. Maybe from creating a Philosopher's Stone? That's the only thing that makes sense."

"You're right. He tricked the king so he could leave his flask and obtain his own body. He also gave me part of the souls making me a Philosopher's Stone as well.

To answer your question about why we look a like, it's because my blood was used by my master to create him."

I thought about what he said. Hohenheim was a Philosopher's Stone, he and Father are super old, and...

"End game. What's the end game this time?" I asked.

"To obtain the power of God."

I blinked.

"Eh?"

~~~~~~Does he really know? It's a fanfiction. Anyway Hohenheim gets his own filler. I want to add just one filler in here for Haru. The story gets so serious soon. By the way if you all had to choose between a fox (kitsune), a wolf, or a doll what would you choose? I want to make something but I don't know what.
