We made it into the Fifth Laboratory. The place seemed to be completely abandoned.

"If there really was information about the Philosopher's Stone here wouldn't there be guards?"

"Maybe, but it's best if we don't run into any trouble while we're here."

We went into a room with a giant transmutation circle in the center. There was a little bit of blood on it.

"I'm guessing this is where they made the stone."

"That's correct boy."

There was the clinking if armor from the darkness and someone stepped out of the shadows.

"You're pretty good to be able to tell that by just looking at it," the armored man complimented.

"Thanks. Now who are you?"

"I am Number 48. I guard this place from little boys like you who stick their noses into things they shouldn't."

"Haru stay back."

Ed transmuted his arm and I hid behind a pillar. I poked my head out enough to see what was going on. Number 48 was the first to attack. Ed dogged and swung back and in turn Number 48 dogged.

"I'm going to take a wild guess and assume that you're hollow?"

He knew just from hearing him move?

"Yes I am. Maybe I should introduce myself again. Number 48 was the name I was given when I got this body. Before I was a serial killer known as the Slasher."

Number 48 showed Ed the blood seal inside of him.

"That was nice of you to show me your weak spot."

"I like to give myself a challenge in every fight."

They continued fighting and it looked like Ed was losing.

"My partner should be finishing up your friend about now."

"Is he strong?" Ed asked.

"Yes but not as strong as me."

Ed started laughing.

"Then he should be just fine. He's been my sparing partner for years and I haven't beaten him once."

As the fighting continued Ed was loosing more blood. I wanted to help him. Just as it looked like Ed was in his last leg he shouted:

"Haru now!"

Without thinking I clapped my hands together and put one on the pillar. A part of it extended and knocked Number 48's head off.

"You can use alchemy?"

"Yeah I guess. Why would you ask me to help anyway? I can't fight!"

Or at least not until now, I think.

I came out from behind the pillar and ran to Ed. Suddenly the body of the armor started moving again. I jumped back before he hit me. He was moving way to quickly for me though. I wasn't the target so he started attacking Ed again.

"Don't attack he's too fast!"

I did as Ed said and did not move. Soon after as the armor body was moving towards him Ed split the body in half.

"You're not three brothers are you?" I asked picking the head.

"No, no, it's just the two of us. As much as I hate to admit it brother we've lost. Go ahead and kill us."

"I can't kill you."

"Because it would be rude~." I sang.

"We're not even human anymore."

"If I didn't consider you people then that would mean that I didn't consider my own brother to be a person."

The head started laughing.

"Brother?"

"Me and my brother have been killing and stealing for as long as we can remember. And now that we have these bodies were being treated like humans for the first time.
I'll give you a parting gift I'll tell you who made the Philosopher's Stone and ordered us to guard this place."

Before Number 48 could say anything he was snatched out of my hand.

"Number 48 you should know better," a woman said.

There was a guy with her who picked up the sword lying on the ground. Number 48 was split in half by the woman. The guy started stabbing the other brother's blood seal.

"You almost ruined the entire plan, and killed our most important sacrifice. As well as one of our own!"

I ran over to Ed's side to see if he was okay.

"You didn't have to kill them!" I shouted.

"You're one to talk," the guy said bitterly. "What are you doing with this pipsqueak anyway?"

"Do I know you?"

"It's me Envy. This isn't funny Korosu! We just saw each other in Liore."

"Why do you guys keep calling me that? Who is Korosu?"

"You are," the woman started to explain. "I'm Lust you were working with me in Liore, remember?"

"Oh. Sorry. I go by Haru now."

"I can't tell if she is lying or not. Can she lose her memories that many times?" Envy sighed.

"Alright now that we know everything about each other tell me everything you know about the Philosopher's Stone!" Ed demanded.

"I think I made the pipsqueak angry," Envy teased.

Ed swung at him then attempted to use alchemy but there was a sudden pop from his arm.

"Having technical difficulties?" Lust asked.

"Lucky me!"

Envy grabbed Ed by his hair and kneed him in the stomach.

"Remember this boy we allowed you to live. As for you Korosu I hope you get your memories back soon. In the meantime look out for Fullmetal."

"Alright your turn."

There was a sudden pain in my head and I blacked out. What's going to happen to me?

I was walking down a long dark tunnel. I think I had found the palace by chance and decided to go exploring. Something jumped out in front of me. It looked like a cross between two animals or something.

I killed most of them. There were a lot but I finally got down to the last one.

'Who's there?'

Envy killed the monster and looked as if he were going to kill me too.

'Stupid human. You shouldn't have come here. Normally I would kill you but your face is too cute.'

He turned into an exact look a like of me. I clapped excitedly.

'That was so cool!'

'It's a girl can I eat her?'

I knew this person to be Gluttony. He worked with Lust. At the time I don't think I knew this.

Gluttony charged at me and I blew his head up only he regenerated. I felt something but only realized that I was injured when I saw the blood.

'Who are you?'

'I'm Haru I like your underground home and magician. I don't like your monsters though.'

'Why did you bring her here?'

In this memory I could not see the guy's face, only a outline of him.

'I think it would be a shame to kill her so you can do with her what you want.'

Envy shoved me forward and I pouted at him.The man on the other side of the room examines me and motioned for me to come to him. Despite my injury I walked to him real slow.

'Let's have a little fun.'

He got a red liquid and put it on my injury. When it went in me the pain was so great that I don't remember any if it. When I come to I was surprised to be alive.

'So she lives. Congratulations you're one of us now.'

'One of who?' I asked.

'A homonculus. I did not expect you to live. So I'll give you two choices become a killer for me now using the name Korosu or be killed. I will need you for the promised day.'
