The night after Wrestlemania was always a big night for WWE, and the same would go for Cassie and Josh. Because as Josh's Universal title reign was just beginning, Cassie's would come to an emotional end. Because as she was pregnant, that meant she had to relinquish her Raw Women's Championship. Tonight, her entire family would be in attendance to witness a proud moment.

Cassie: So, everyone from my family is out there, and I'm actually kicking off Raw with my announcement about the title.

Josh: I would ask if you want me there with you, but I wouldn't want to steal your spotlight...

Just as he turned away, Cassie grabbed his hand.

Cassie: You really think I'd be doing something like this on my own? No way, mister! You're coming with me!

The two smiled at each other as Josh tucked a stray bit of hair behind her ear, with Cassie almost leaning into his touch. Just then, her music played and out she went, onto the stage, title draped over her shoulder. Meanwhile, Josh had a quick word with Hunter about the segment.

Josh: Hunter, get the roster together, they're not gonna want to miss this...

With a thumbs up and a wink, he did just that, and when Josh's theme then hit, he had a wider smile than usual. And out he went joining his beloved fiance, sharing a small kiss before accompaning her to the ring and helping her in and getting her a mic.

Cassie: Last night, me and Josh were pushed to our limits, in two hard hitting matches. But we overcame those obstacles and here we are, as the champions of Raw!

The two got a loud pop as they raised their belts above their heads before Cassie continued.

Cassie: But, there's two sides to every story. As some of you may know, last night, not only did this handsome hunk propose to me...

The crowd began chanting 'She Said Yes!' a few times.

Cassie: ...but I also revealed that I was pregnant again, this time with twins! Now, I was lucky not to take that much stress on my body last night, but it's not a risk I'm willing to take, which is why that tonight, due to my pregnancy, I'm going to take a long break from wrestling, and in the process, I am also relinquishing the Raw Women's Championship.

The crowd booed a little, but understood why and gave her a round of applause.

Cassie: As for my return, I'm not even sure there will be one. I thought to myself after last night, do I really wanna pull off double duty and be a wrestler as well as a mother? This wise guy here told me that it was my decision to make, and I know I'm gonna break some hearts with this... But tonight has been my last night as a professional wrestler.

That last bit absolutely stunned the WWE universe in a state of shock, as she laid the title in the middle of the ring and began crying a little as she hugged Josh, who whispered in her ear.

Josh: It's okay, it's okay...

The two pulled apart, as Josh then took the mic.

Josh: I think that we can safely say that Peyton, you have had one heck of a career. While it may not have lasted as long as you wanted, you've been successful and you've been more happy than ever. Ever since I came here, nobody has been more loving to me than you, and I can honestly say that from me to you, everyone in this building, company and the entire WWE universe will miss you. But nobody more than me. Which is why I'm going to do something probably nobody expected.

He laid the Universal Championship down next to the Raw Women's Championship as he carried on.

Josh: It is with a heavy heart that... I am also retiring. I can't go through the amount of pain I go through being a wrestler while trying to balance it out by being a proper father to my children, and a proper husband for my future wife.

Cassie had a tearful smile as she watched on.

Josh: I...

He saw Cassie, and grabbed her hand to raise it up above their heads.

Josh: WE cannot thank you guys enough for letting us be a part of the best company in the world. It's been a dream come true for me especially, and I never thought I'd be this happy. I'll also admit that while I may be cutting my career short, I know I'm doing it for the right reasons.

Hunter's theme then played and out came everyone in the WWE from Raw, Smackdown, NXT and NXT UK. They all formed a guard of honour around the ringside area and all the way up to the stage. And there was Hunter with a mic, along with Shawn Michaels holding a bunch of flowers on one side and Jeff Hardy holding a small box on the other.

Hunter: Josh, from one man to another, I look at you and what you just did, and I think I can speak for the whole company when I say that every single person here can respect and look up to you. And Peyton, what you have achieved here in such a short period of time is nothing short of amazing, and you should be just as proud of your accomplishments.

Hunter, Jeff and Shawn then headed down to the ring, and all shared a hug with the happy couple, before Cassie accepted her flowers from Shaun, and Josh, a Rolex from Jeff.

Jeff: You deserve this bro. It's been an honour.

Josh: Cheers, dude. Thanks for letting me tag with you.

Jeff: No probs!

Cassie and Hunter had a little moment as well as the Aussie was now full on crying.

Cassie: Thank you. For everything.

Hunter: The pleasure was all mine.

As the two got their hands raised one last time, Josh headed around the entire ring, hugging stars like Roman, AJ, Tommaso, Johnny, The Miz, and even the commentary team. Cassie, meanwhile, received a group hug from Becky, Tegan, Alexa and Leah, before seeing her family and Issie. Overcome with emotion, she went over to her family and picked up Issie, and hugged her with all the love in the world.

Cassie: Hello, beautiful!

Issie lit up with a wide smile on her face as she hugged her mum as best she could.

Issie: M... Ma... Mama.

Cassie and Josh were in shock as Issie had said her very first word.

Cassie: D-did she just...

Josh: No way...

As both of them hugged Issie, Cassie took a moment with her family.

Beth: We're proud of you, sis.

Jonathan: 100 percent. And we support you all the way.

Cassie passed Issie to Josh as she hugged her family. She then grabbed Josh's free hand before making their way up the ramp, the guard of honour saying goodbye to them. When they got to the top of the ramp, Josh put Issie on his shoulders as he and Cassie waved goodbye to WWE for the last time.

Josh: Thank you. To every single one of you.

When they got backstage, Cassie broke down in tears, as Issie hugged her mum.

Cassie: (crying) So, what do we do now then?

Josh: Now, we start planning the wedding and our future together. We've got a lot to go through, especially with 2 more little ones in there!

He gently poked her stomach before all three of them left the arena.

5 months later, the day of their wedding...

Cassie was being glammed up by Leah at her place. Instead of having a hen night due to her now being 7 months pregnant, Leah invited her, Issie, Alexa, Becky and Tegan for a girls night that ended up with all of them admitting that they all had feelings for Josh at some point, and they were also happy for Cassie, being the one engaged to him with twins on the way.

Leah: So, you excited about today?

Cassie: Yep, and also nervous!

Becky: How come?

Cassie: I just never saw myself being with anyone else other than Ron, but then came Josh. He was the one who was there for me through my darkest days, and knowing he's gonna be doing that for the rest of our lives, it's kinda scary...

Tegan: I'd feel the same, to be honest...

Alexa: Just think how good it'll be with him though, I mean, you already have one child, and another two on the way, and you've got all of your life with him to come!

Cassie took a deep breath and quickly fixed her dress before taking in the sight before her, as Leah and Alexa were in gold flowing dresses, Becky in orange and Tegan in purple, while Issie was in a pretty pink floral dress as she was the flower girl.

Cassie: Okay then ladies, time to get me married!

The girls headed to the limo that was waiting for them to take them to the beach, where the wedding was taking place, and where Josh was waiting in his black tux, along with Jeff, his best man, and both Josh and Cassie's families, along with a few other friends. Jonathan would be giving her daughter away and when she arrived with the girls, Cassie's father couldn't believe the sight he saw.

Jonathan: My god...

Cassie: You like the dress, Dad?

Jonathan: Not just the dress, you look a million bucks. Josh won't be able to take his eyes off you, that's for sure!

The two shared a hug before Here Comes The Bride began playing and Tegan held Issie's hand as the little one threw flower petals along the path, while Josh watched with a wide smile on his face, which then turned into a look of shock as he saw Cassie in her flowing white dress.

Josh: She's... gorgeous...

After everyone took their seats, the wedding began and after the vows were said, and the rings were given, there was only one thing left to do.

Vicar: I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.

Josh didn't waste any time and gave Cassie the most loving kiss she had ever received from anyone, to the loud cheers and applause of all who had attended. The two would then have the time of their lives with everyone at the reception, where they had their first dance to Chances by Athlete, ending it with a kiss.

2 months later, the day of Cassie's due date...

Cassie was watching Frozen with Issie, the little one cuddling up to her mum, when all of a sudden, she felt a kick from her bump and something drip down her leg... Telling herself she knew it was time, she called for Josh.

Cassie: JOSH!!!

Josh sprinted downstairs, jumping the last three before he saw Cassie gripping the sofa edge tightly. On instinct, Josh grabbed Issie, buckled her into the car and then went back for Cassie, and carried her bridesmaid style into the car and went as fast as he could to the hospital. When they got there, he and Issie ran to get a wheelchair for Cassie, before getting her in there and off to the birthing unit, and with the help of a few nurses, got her all set for the moment of truth. While Josh comforted Issie as she went to sleep, he grabbed Cassie's hand.

Josh: You're doing great babe, absolutely amazing. Just think, in a few hours, Issie will have 2 playmates!

Cassie: I'm so nervous, I need my mum and dad here. Can you ring them?

Josh: I already did that while they set you up. They'll be here in an hour.

Sure enough, one hour later, Jonathan and Liz arrived to check their daughter's progress.

Josh: I've been told that she's 7cm dilated, so she should be ready in the next hour or so. Thanks for coming, as well. I figured she would have wanted you here.

Liz: No problem. We wouldn't have wanted to miss this for the world.

Jonathan kept an eye on Issie, who was still asleep by the time Cassie was ready to give birth. She took big deep breaths and gripped Josh's hand tightly as she began to push. After a solid 5 minutes of pushing, the first baby made its appearance.

Liz: It's a boy!

Josh was almost crying at that news, but there was little time to dwell on it as Cassie then began pushing for baby number 2.

Nurse: Keep going, you're almost there! I can see the head!

Cassie had almost passed out from the pain but eventually, the second baby was born.

Jonathan: And this one's a girl!

The couple could barely believe it. They were as shocked as anything when Josh was given the boy and Cassie the girl.

Cassie: S-she's beautiful...

Jonathan then gently woke up Issie and brought her over to see her new brother and sister.

Josh: Look, Issie! You're a big sister now!

She laughed and smiled as she kissed the baby's heads gently.

Josh: We still need to name them, you know.

Cassie: I always wanted to call my baby boy William.

Josh: That's a great name! And as for the girl, I love the name Rosie.

Cassie: Because she's as pretty as a flower. William and Rosie it is.

Josh: You two are going to be amazing. I can feel it.

Cassie: They're not just going to be amazing, they're going to be...

Cassie & Josh: IICONIC!!!

Epilogue

Josh and Cassie would go on and have a long and happy marriage, having one more baby, 3 years after the twins, which was another boy, called Daniel. They led a good life with them ending up in the WWE Hall of Fame Class for 2024, the night before Wrestlemania 40. Josh was even called back to WWE to be a special guest referee for the title unification match at Wrestlemania 40 between the Universal Champion, Braun Strowman and the WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre. After only getting a 2 count, Drew was furious at Josh and shoved him back into the turnbuckle, which led Josh to deliver a First Spark backstabber, before Braun capitalised and hit the running power slam to become the new unified WWE champion.

Cassie, meanwhile, would have just the one return, as she didn't want to be back full time. She took part in the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble at number 30, and even eliminated her former foe Jessica, which was even sweeter. Eventually, she would make the final two, before being eliminated by the eventual winner, Carmella.

Travis and Jessica, after having their baby girl, who they named Natasha, were not heard from for a long time before the latter returned at the same Women's Royal Rumble. After she was eliminated by Cassie, she wasn't seen in WWE again.
