Wrestlemania had now arrived. The biggest night of Josh and Cassie's careers. Josh, for his Barbed Wire Massacre Universal Title Match, and Cassie, for facing someone she considers a true friend in Tegan Nox. After leaving Issie in the capable hands of Josh's parents, who were watching from back in Miami as they couldn't make it to the show, the happy couple arrived at the stadium and took some time to prepare for their matches while watching the pre-show, which involved Humberto Carillo defeating Lio Rush for the Cruiserweight Championship and Mandy Rose winning the Women's Battle Royal, after turning on her best friend, Sonya Deville and eliminating her to win it.

Cassie: I just have a really good feeling about tonight, dunno why, I just do!

Josh was deep in thought, but just smiled and nodded in approval.

Josh: I bet you do, babe. It's the biggest night of the year!

As Cassie went off to get her hair and make up done for her match, which was the second of the night, after the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, Josh rummaged around in his suitcase and found the ring box.

Josh: Tonight's the night... The night I ask the woman of my dreams to be mine. Forever...

He then got changed into his trunks, and tucked the ring away in them before meeting up with Leah at catering.

Leah: Hey, stranger!

Josh: Hey, how's things?

Leah: Couldn't be better! Been told that I get to choose a mystery partner to win the Women's Tag Titles tonight from those so called Kabuki Warriors.

Josh: Got anyone in mind?

Leah looked on as Ember caught her eye, and as soon as they caught eyes, Leah knew she had found her partner.

Leah: I'll be right back...

As Leah went to ask Ember for her favour, Josh then felt a hand cover his eyes. The moment he heard a little giggle that he recognised, he knew who it was.

Josh: Hey babe.

Cassie: How did you know it was me?!

Josh: Two reasons! One, I'd recognise that giggle anywhere, and two, I know how your touch feels.

Cassie: Damn it! But that's why I love you so much, you know me so well!

As she took a seat next to Josh, Leah returned with a smile on her face.

Leah: She's agreed!

Josh: That's awesome! I also think that's the first match on the card tonight, so you'd better get a move on!

Ember and Leah then left, leaving Cassie and Josh to themselves for a moment.

Cassie: Ever thought that our paths would lead here?

Josh: Yeah and no... Yeah because they lead me to you, and we're happy together! And no, because I didn't expect to be in this position at this point in my career. I just thought I was gonna be the next Heath Slater, with just a few tag title reigns to my name.

Cassie: And yet, here you are. On the verge of making history.

At that moment, Josh's head shot up with an idea.

Josh: That's it.

Cassie: What is?

Josh: Tonight. Making history. If I'm gonna do it, I wanna make sure I look good doing it!

As Cassie watched with her title in hand, Josh went off towards costume, and pitched his idea to Hunter on the way, who agreed.

After Leah and Ember had successfully won the Women's Tag Team Titles, Lars Sullivan won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, Liv Morgan beat Sasha Banks for the Smackdown Women's Championship, and Cedric Alexander defeated both Cesaro and the current champion, Ricochet for the US Title, it was now Cassie's match against Tegan. And what a match it would be. Cassie made her entrance, with her gear in the colours of her country and arriving to the ring in a giant flytrap. She was more motivated than ever to keep her title, and deep down, she was doing this for her man.

Cassie: Let's do this...

Meanwhile, in a secret room, Josh had the match playing, as he was now applying the paint for his mask that he would be wearing for his special look tonight. Because tonight, he had decided that Energeon would be coming back. Just as he had finished applying the black and yellow paint to his mask, there was a knock at the door.

Josh: Just a second!

As he put the mask down, he opened the door to see that it was Abyss, and not only that, he had someone with him.

Abyss: Since tonight is the biggest night of your career this far, I figured you could use a pep talk from an old friend...

The mystery was solved as the person was revealed to be Willow, the alter ego of Jeff Hardy, Josh's former tag team partner.

Willow: Tonight will be danger-ous! Tonight will be an all out war! With the assistance of both Willow and the Monster, Energeon will rise VICTORIOUS!

As the mask was now done, Josh put it on and looked at his reflection of himself and his good friends.

Energeon: It is time. Time for me to create chaos and cause destruction on Travis Sharp and for me to become... CHAMPION OF THE UNIVERSE!!!

Abyss took hold of his girl, Janice, the nailed 2x4 he was most famous for, and together with Willow and Energeon towards gorilla, where they caught the end of Cassie's match against Tegan. The Welsh native went for her Shining Wizard, but Cassie dodged it and hit a backstabber, following up with her new finisher, an impaler DDT which she called the Light Switch, which, in the end, kept Tegan down for the three count.

Greg: Here is your winner, and STILL the Raw Women's Champion, Peyton Royce!

Cassie was exhausted. She had battled Tegan for a good 25 minutes, and as a show of sportsmanship, helped Tegan back up to her feet. They shared a hug and as Tegan left, clutching her back slightly, Cassie celebrated and held her title up high, happy she had successfully defended her belt. As she got backstage, she passed Josh and his crew, and she gave Josh/Energeon a kiss on the cheek, to wish him luck.

Cassie: Joshy, just be safe. For me. Don't do anything stupid. And also bring back that title, I want us to celebrate as champions tonight.

Josh broke out of his Energeon character to reply to Cassie's good luck speech.

Josh: Don't you worry, babe. After I'm done with that no good Travis tonight, we won't have to worry about him or Jessica ever again.

Cassie: Glad to hear it. Also, come to our locker room after your match, because I have a surprise for you.

As the special guest referee, Tommy Dreamer made his way to the ring, Cassie then left her boyfriend to ponder what she meant, and then his special theme for the night hit, which was Pain by Three Days Grace. And out came the trio, with Abyss holding Janice, and Willow with a barbed wire board. By the time they got in the special ring - which had barbed wire instead of ropes, Travis made his way down to the ring, flanked by the Dudley Boyz. But before Travis could even get in the ring, both Energeon and Willow teamed up so Josh jumped over the top line of barbed wire and onto the Dudleys as Travis saw it coming and got out of the way.

Meanwhile, every single wrestler backstage was watching with anticipation as to what could happen next. Several huge spots were done throughout the match, like Travis digging a barbed wire bat into Energeon's back, and Josh sending Travis face first into a barbed wire board. While all this was going on, Cassie was watching out of sheer nervousness and also, a hint of excitement.

Cassie: Come on babe, you can do this.

And as Energeon jumped up to the top turnbuckle, it was almost like he had heard her, as he was preparing to hit Creation of Energy, but The Dudleys intervened. They blocked Energeon's path, but forgot about Abyss and Willow. While they managed to neutralise Jeff Hardys alter ego with a 3D, Abyss didn't suffer the same fate. Instead, The Monster got his bag of tricks which contained sharp thumbtacks, and gave Bubba Ray a Black Hole Slam onto them. As for D-von, he suffered a Sunset Flip Powerbomb onto what was left of the tacks, taking him and Bubba out of commission. But before Josh could capitalise, Travis hit a Sharp Attack from the top rope, and looked to have won it.

Tommy: 1... 2...

Energeon threw a shoulder up and Travis couldn't believe it. But he also couldn't believe what was going to happen next. Unaware to him, Abyss had Travis lined up with Janice in his hand, ready to strike. And the moment The American Nightmare turned around, The Monster struck and struck hard. As Travis shook in pain and fell onto the mat, Abyss then hit a Black Hole Slam on Travis onto another barbed wire board, and signalled for Energeon to end it.

Abyss: This is it! Do what you like! He's yours for the taking!!!

And after another 3 seconds, Energeon jumped from the top and hit Creation Of Energy onto Travis, who was stuck on the board, and was not kicking out, as Dreamer then9 counted to three.

Mike: Here is your winner, and NEWWW WWE Universal Champion, Energeon!

Abyss and Energeon, along with Willow, had conquered Travis Sharp, and Josh now had possession of the title. All three of them had their arms raised by Tommy, and even shared a bro-hug.

Tommy: You deserve this. This is your night. You're the future of this business, kid.

He then left the trip to celebrate for a little bit, and when the three of them made their way up the ramp, Josh had now broken character and got a microphone.

Josh: This night... Has been one of the toughest of my career. I just fought a war, and I won! But it wouldn't be proper congratulations unless we got one more person out here. So Peyton Royce, come on out!

A little confused, Cassie made her way out to the stage area, where the boys were, with her title draped over her shoulder. She hugged all three of them and shared a kiss with Josh.

Cassie: You earned this!

Josh: WE earned this. But you know, there is one thing missing that would make this perfect...

Cassie: Which is?

Asking for something from Willow, Josh took it, and held a small box in his hand. And then, he went down on one knee and the crowd went absolutely berserk. He opened the small blue box to reveal a silver diamond ring. Cassie was flabbergasted and began crying tears of joy.

Josh: I think it's fair to say we've had our fair share of ups and downs in this relationship, but I think this will change everything. Cassie, I love you to pieces, and you've given me something I never thought I'd have, a child. I will be eternally grateful for that. You always make me smile and you never fail to cheer me up when I'm down, and quite honestly... You make me the happiest man in the world. So, Cassandra McIntosh, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?

Cassie gasped and put her hands over her mouth as she nodded yes in reply. Josh then put the ring on her and they shared a long, tender loving kiss with Willow and Abyss leading the celebrations, along with the crowd, who began chanting "She Said Yes!"

Josh: You've just made me feel like a million bucks...

Cassie: I'll be honest, I had actually been waiting for you to ask for sometime now!

Josh: Really?

Cassie: Yeah, I mean, after what happened to me before with Ron, I just knew that you were the one. Plus, there's one other thing that kinda clinched it...

Josh: Which is?

She grabbed hold of Josh's hand and put it over her stomach.

Cassie: Josh... I'm pregnant...

Josh's face was a picture as he was over the moon.

Cassie: ... With twins!

He almost fainted with pure shock.

Josh: Okay, there's no doubt now. This is now officially the happiest day of my life!

The 4 of them then united as one with a group hug and Josh swept Cassie off her feet and carried her bridal style backstage, where everyone was there to wish the newly engaged couple congratulations. After a shower, they then watched the rest of Mania together, before heading home, beginning the next chapter of their lives together.
