The following week on Raw, it was 2 weeks until Wrestlemania, and Josh was in action in a 3-on-1 handicap match against The OC. Just as he hit Anderson with the First Spark and climbed up to leap and hit Creation of Energy, Travis came out and interrupted him.

Travis: Hey, Josh, I gotta applaud you with your match selection. Barbed Wire Massacre... I'll admit, I never saw that coming.

Josh stared a hole through Travis before AJ pushed Josh off the top. Gallows and Anderson took hold of Josh, and as AJ went for the Phenomenal Forearm, Josh broke free of the grip, and pulled them in front of him. As AJ hit the forearm on them both, Josh rolled up AJ from behind to get the win.

Mike: Here is your winner, Josh Stevens!

As Josh got to his feet, Travis ran into the ring then nailed a Sharp Attack on Josh as he turned around, leaving Josh laying. The champion stood proudly with a mic in hand.

Travis: Your match stipulation does not intimidate me one bit. In fact, I'm relishing slicing you open with barbed wire, piece by piece. And send a message to your lovely girlfriend, Peyton, too. Tell her that your days in this company are numbered. You're not beating me, and you're not getting this.

Travis then put a foot on Josh's body and smirked at his handiwork, as he left the challenger laying. Cassie, meanwhile watched from the back along with Leah, and she looked like she had been majorly triggered by the American Nightmare's attack.

Cassie: You don't scare me, mister. Screw you and this piece of trash you call a title reign. My man is coming for you and is coming to end you.

She then looked behind her, where Issie was sleeping soundly in her baby carrier. She picked her up and cradled her gently so she wouldn't wake up. After 20 minutes, Josh entered the locker room.

Josh: Hey.

Cassie put a finger on her lips, signalling for Josh to be quiet and not to wake Issie up.

Cassie: Let's talk outside. Leah, can you hold her?

Leah: Yeah sure, come here, gorgeous!

She took Issie from Cassie's grasp, then the Aussie grabbed his hand and went round the corner from their locker room so they could properly talk.

Cassie: Are you sure about this whole barbed wire thing? I mean, this is the most dangerous match I've ever heard of.

Josh: I know what I'm doing. Hell In A Cell or Falls Count Anywhere would still not be enough for what I plan on doing to Travis at Wrestlemania.

Josh cuddled Cassie and kissed her as a sign of confidence.

Cassie: You still amaze me every day, no matter what you do.

Josh: As do you. Especially now that you know who your challenger is for that come Mania night.

Cassie: Yeah, and I have to say, this is one of the matches I've been wanting for a long time.

Josh: Peyton Royce vs the Women's Royal Rumble winner, Tegan Nox, for the Raw Women's Championship. Me and her get on very well, we actually signed our first professional wrestling contracts together.

Cassie had a slight hint of concern on her face.

Cassie: And should I be concerned about you having any feelings for her?

Josh: Oh hell no, she's more of a little sister figure to me, considering we both grew up in the UK together. We tried it once, but realized we were better off as friends. She's dating someone now, anyway.

Cassie breathed a sigh of relief.

Cassie: Good for her. Should be a great match, I've never wrestled her before! She deserves it after all she went through when she did her knee in a while back.

Josh: I agree. But like I said - I have faith in you that you will remain champion.

Cassie: Yeah, just like I have every confidence in you to win that belt.

Josh: And that's not all. I plan on revealing someone... or someTHING very dramatic next week at the official contract signing.

The Aussie's eyes lit up at Josh's revelation and when he whispered what would be happening in her ear, she couldn't stop smiling.

Cassie: Now I know you'll win.

Josh: Just don't tell a soul. Strictly speaking, I'm not meant to tell anyone until RAW next week.

Cassie: My lips are sealed. Now come on, I'm in the mood for some Netflix and 'chill' tonight...

She grabbed his hands and placed them around her perfectly shaped booty, letting out a little moan as he squeezed it gently.

Josh pulled away for a second to sort something out.

Josh: Leah?

Josh: Thanks! We'll pick her up in the morning. Bye!

Josh slid his phone back in his pocket and got back to hugging and kissing Cassie.

Josh: Now, where were we?

Cassie just smiled and kissed him before they both ran to their car and back to their apartment. After an hour drive, Cassie literally pulled Josh upstairs and as soon as the door closed, could not get her hands off her boyfriend.

Josh: Mmm, someone's eager...

Cassie: I just couldn't wait any longer.

She took off Josh's shirt, while Josh took off hers and took their wild party to the bedroom.

Tonight was the last Raw before Wrestlemania, and was also the night of the Universal Championship match contract signing between Travis and Josh. Cassie: So you got anything going on besides the contract signing?

Josh: Only the reveal of the person who will be in my corner for Mania.

Cassie: Would I know them?

Josh: Probably not, it's someone I used to work with in another wrestling company. And before you say it, you'll find out when everyone else does as he's asked me to keep his identity a secret.

Cassie: Rats!

Josh: I hear you're gonna be in a tag match?

Cassie: Yeah, me and Tegan, taking on the Smackdown champ, Liv and her opponent on Sunday, Sasha.

Josh: That could get interesting!

Cassie: Yeah, bound to get interesting. Anyway, I'm due at make-up, so...

The two shared a kiss before Cassie left, leaving Josh alone with his thoughts, and with a small box in his pocket, which he brought out to have a look in. Inside it was a 12 carat diamond ring with her favourite gem on top of it, a small emerald. It was left for him after his now passed away aunt, Alison, died a few years back. Josh never forgot the last words she said to him:

Alison: Joshua, I want you to have this ring. Give it to someone you know you will love for as long as I have loved your grandad.

He took the ring and held it in the air, then put it back in the box, which then went back in his pocket.

Josh: Auntie, I think I've found the one...

Later...

It was coming towards the end of Cassie's match, and as she built momentum towards hitting her spinning heel kick on Sasha, Tegan tagged herself in, to the surprise of Cassie. Tegan went on to hit the Shining Wizard and get the pin on Sasha, winning the match, with Liv just looking on at her future challenger from the outside.

Mike: Here are your winners, the Raw Women's Champion, Peyton Royce, and Tegan Nox!

As their hands were raised, Cassie stared a hole right through Tegan, and held her title up proudly.

Cassie: Get ready. I don't get bested easily.

Tegan: Bring it. Bring it all.

The two shared another intense stare, before firmly shaking hands and leaving the ring on their own accord. As the table was being set up for the contract signing, Josh and Cassie met up backstage, where she shared a hug with Josh, then one with Tegan, as they were both good friends in real life.

Tegan: See you Sunday!

As she went off to get changed, Josh was laser focused on the contract signing.

Cassie: I have to go do an interview, so I'll see you after your segment.

They kissed and she left Josh to his own thoughts.

10 minutes later...

Triple H was in the ring, acting as peacemaker between the two, as he knew it would probably get ugly. Josh went out first and got a roaring reception from the crowd as he took his seat. When Travis came out, his reception was much more hostile and received a loud chorus of boos as he showed off his title and then took a seat.

Hunter: Gentlemen, the match is booked and advertised, all we need now is the final signature.

Josh wasted no time signing the contract, and after he had, he literally shoved it towards Travis.

Josh: You're up, kid.

Travis took a mic and stared Josh down.

Travis: This Sunday, the rivalry me and you have comes to a head. No ifs, no buts, it's happening.

Josh just sat there, laid back, with his feet on the table as Travis grew an evil smirk.

Travis: But really, did you expect me to let you call the shots without preparing for it? Cos I have approached a couple of guys who are extreme enough for a match just like this!

As fireworks erupted at the stage area, Bubba Ray and D-von made their presence felt, and as Travis smiled evilly, so did Josh. He sarcastically applauded Travis and his efforts to get these two in his corner.

Josh: I gotta admit, that is a surprise to me, but not one I didn't prepare for in my own way. You see, having these two by your side will make no difference cos they're not in the match! YOU are!

Travis waved away his comments with dismissal and a sly grin, but both his and the Dudley's grins were wiped away when the arena went dark and a sudden bell rang.

As Travis and the Dudleys looked on in pure shock, the Monster, Abyss, made his way from Impact Wrestling to make his debut in WWE, and the crowd were in complete shock. One of the two competitors in the first ever Barbed Wire Massacre match in Impact history strode his way to the ring, and immediately focused his attention on the Dudleys. He clotheslined them 3 times each, while Josh hit the First Spark on Travis. Then, in a moment the WWE Universe wouldn't forget, Abyss picked up Bubba Ray and hit a massive chokeslam on him, and then hit a Black Hole Slam on D-von. Josh's eyes then focused on Travis, who was motionless in shock. Josh capitalised on it, grabbed Travis' throat and signalled for Abyss to set up the table. The Monster then grabbed Travis' throat too, and both of them hit a double chokeslam through the table, leaving the champ laying.

The time was now nigh. Josh had signalled his intent for the Universal Championship, and with a 6 foot 8, 350 pound weapon of mass destruction alongside him, was prepared to go through hell to get it.
