Hi everyone, Neko Tsuki here! Before we get on with this story I want to say a few words. (You may skip this or read this if you like)

Gin Ichimaru was the first Bleach character that I liked in the series. At first his creepiness was kinda weird but then he grew on me BIG TIME! Gin can be such a sneaky sweetheart but I love Gin being Gin. No other personality expresses his character better. I regret not being able to get to know him earlier, but now that I have I can definitely say that he has helped me through some troubling times. Being here to share this will all of you that still love Bleach, I just can't say enough how happy I am that you beautiful human beings are here.

Now that I'm done with my ranting about the amazing Gin Ichimaru, on with his birthday story!

Gin woke up in what he thought was his death labyrinth that Aizen had thrown him in after he had died. Today though, he was not greeted with the same old white box room.

Gin stretches out and he lazily looks around. He was in his old room in the Gotei 13. His eyes became wide with confusion as he started to stand up. "Happy Birthday Gin!" Gin was sent back down to the floor with quite a force. He opened his eyes which revealed a girl smiling down at him widely.

"Oh, well if it isn't Neko Tsuki-chan, how lovely it is ta see ya" Gin said sincerely. Neko sat on Gin as if she was a cat on her prey. "If yer not gonna let me up, can ya at least tell me what's goin' on?" Neko nodded.

"You see, me and Aizen made a deal and for today you get to go back to the way things used to be before they went hectic. So, basically you get to be the Captain of Squad 3 with your amazing Lieutenant or assistant captain, I don't know if those are the same thing or not. Anyways ya, everything is back to the way it used to be, kinda sorta."

Gin's eyes widened in surprise and awe of the words that came out of Neko's mouth. "Do ya mean that Neko-Chan?You ain't pullin' my leg now are ya?" Before Gin could ask anything else Neko covered his mouth with her hands. "How about you stop asking questions and you go see for yourself silly?"

Gin sat up and Neko plopped onto his thighs, not realizing that Gin could have thrown her off if he wanted too. Gin wrapped his hands around Neko's back and legs, picking her up like a child. Gin stood up with Neko in his hands and walked over to his door. He slid it open with his foot with ease, memories flowing back to him with every movement.

Gin was blinded by the morning light and closed his eyes. A sweet smile spread across his face as everything came back to him. He heard the soft melodies of the birds chirping happily as they perched on cherry blossom trees. Gin could even hear the flow of the small river that lay just beyond his home.

"Neko, this is beautiful, I never thought that I would be able to experience this again. Thank you."
Neko smiles and reaches up and hugs him tightly. Gin hugs back tenderly. "Gin, don't you realize that anyone in my shoes that cares as much as I do would do the same for you. Your smile brightens up my day everyday and if you didn't have that wonderful smile of yours, then I would never be happy. If you're happy then I'm happy, that's why I love you Gin." The last words slipped out of Neko's mouth without her expecting it. She puts her hands back to her sides and leans back. She blushed hard as she regrets the words she said. Gin obviously didn't though.

"Aww, did Neko-Chan just admit that she loves me" Gin asks teasingly. Neko looks away with a sly smile. "I don't know, maybe I did." Gin leans toward her face and she leans back nervously. "Uh Gin, whatcha doin'?" Gin smiles sweetly and he kisses her cheek gently. "We'll see how I feel about you another time" Gin said with a hint of sarcasm.

Neko's face was bright red as Gin puts Neko down just to kneel down in front of her. "Ya know somethin' else nice about ya Neko-chan." "What would that be Gin?" Gin chuckled playfully before he responded. "Yer short."

Neko shook her head and pretended to walk away before Gin reaches out his arm and pulls her back for a back hug. "Where do ya think yer goin? I thought ya said it was my birthday ta-day?" Neko rubbed Gin's hair, messing it up in the process. "Guess I'm stuck with you then" Neko said teasingly.

Gin stays kneeled down and turns his back to her after releasing her from the hug. "What don't we do that thing Kenpachi n' Yachiru do ta-day?"
Neko gladly hopped on Gin's back and they set off towards the Seireitei, bright smiles on both of their faces.

Later that night

Everyone in the Seireitei greeted Gin with words of Happy Birthday and gifts to celebrate the occasion. Gin was overflowed with joy with his birthday experience.

All that was left was the surprise party that Rangiku had planned for her long time friend. Neko has blindfolded the man with a piece of cloth as she directed him to the destination that Rangiku had told her earlier.

"NO GIN! NOT THAT WAY!" Gin smacked his head right on a tree, stumbling backwards. "I don't think I wanna trust ya anymore Neko, dat's the third tree so far."

Neko pouted. "We're almost there, promise." Gin sighed and let her keep directing him.

As soon as they arrived Neko told Gin to stop. She signaled the guests to hide and they did as they were told, dimming the lights as well. Neko jumped off his back and stood in front of him.

"Okay Gin, you can take off the blind fold now" Neko said excitedly as she dashed off to a hiding place. Gin untied his blindfold and blinked his eyes. He was outside on some kind of park field and the moon shone brightly but Gin still had trouble seeing the scenery. "Hello?"

Suddenly, soul reapers, arrancars, and few humans jumped out of their hiding spots, the lantern lights above being relit with glory and grace.

"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPTAIN ICHIMARU!"

A smile graced Gin's lips, but not just any smile, a real smile, one that he didn't show often. "Oh ya didn't have ta do this" Gin said as a light shade of pink shone on his pale cheeks. Toshiro came up to him and shook his head. "It wasn't us that planned this Gin, it was actually lieutenant Matsumoto."

Gin looked to his right and saw Rangiku standing under one of the lanterns nervously. He walked over to her and slung his arms around her. "Ya did this fer me Rangiku-Chan?" "Well of course but I got help from a lot of the soulreapers and surprisingly some of the arrancars. Neko was the one that had you busy all day while I prepared."

Gin retracted and smiles warmly at her. "I'm glad it all worked out" Gin said happily. "I am too, Gin." Rangiku pulled a small present out of her pocket, presenting it to the silver haired man. Gin looked at it surprisingly. "Fer me Rangiku-chan?" Rangiku nodded her head and handed it to him. He took it in his hand.

The small gift was wrapped in a lavender wrapping paper with outlines of fox faces. A white ribbon was tied to it for the final touch. Gin pulled off the ribbon and shoved it into his pocket before unwrapping the gift. His mesmerizing blue eyes shone with beauty as he stared at the gift. It was a purple fox charm with a silver chain attached to it. It was made from a rare stone that was difficult to find in the human world.

"Rangiku-chan, I love it" Gin said lovingly in awe. Rangiku wrapped his arms around Gin and embraced him once again. "Happy Birthday Gin."

A massive performance stage that sat at the end of the wide field had lit up with overhead neon lights, getting everyone's attention. Shuhei was sitting at a drum set, Toshiro and Grimmjow both had electric guitars and Neko and Momo stood at the microphone in the middle. "Let the party begin!"
