THIRD PERSON'S POV:

When Team 7 assembled in the Hokage's office, they looked at each other.

Tsunade had her there's-a-little-fucker-messing-with-my-village-who-could-it-be thinking face. Her hands were intertwined and in front of her mouth, lips pressed tightly, and her eyebrows were scrunched together.

"Lady Tsunade, I did what you wanted me to do," Sakura said, fishing out an eyepatch, dirty and worn out, from her pocket. "I replaced her eyepatch with a replica. I believe that she's sharp witted though, and will figure it out soon so we should switch her eyepatch back to her original soon."

Tsunade nodded. "Very good, Sakura."

"No way," Kakashi muttered, his gray eyebrow raising effectively. "That eyepatch...its from - "

"The Hidden Ash Village, no doubt about it," Tsunade finished, her arms crossing across her chest. Shizune's face morphed into shock.

"W-what?" she spluttered. "That's not possible! This girl has to be about 16, but the Hidden Ash Village was destroyed - "

"Almost 30 years ago," Tsunade finished again, her voice quiet.

No one said anything. Sakura, Sai, and Naruto were thoroughly confused.

"I don't get it," Naruto cried. "What's going on? What's this Hidden Ash Village?"

The jonnin ignored Naruto.

"Well, it couldn't be more obvious," Kakashi said finally. "The Hidden Ash Village is training shinobi. They survived the attack thirty years ago."

"What's this Hidden Ash Village? And that's just a regular eyepatch," Naruto pointed out. "What's so special about it?"

Kakashi looked at Tsunade, who nodded her approval.

"This eyepatch is made from a similar material that chakra papers are made from," Kakashi stated. "It's really rare and requires years and years to develop just a single square inch of it. This material is called dodentai. Because of it's lack of prevalence, not much is known about it except for the fact that it can transmit and emit chakra."

Sakura and Naruto stared at the eyepatch.

"A little thing like this can do that?" Naruto asked, frowning. "How does it transmit and emit chakra?"

"May I have my eyepatch back?" a soft voice asked.

Naruto and Sakura shrieked in surprise as Sai remained calm and just turned around. The original owner of the eyepatch stood in the open door of the Hokage's office, her face passive and her hand extended, the palm open. The eyepatch that Sakura had replaced the original with was gone and the girl was covering her right eye with her hand.

Lady Hokage narrowed her eyes. "You have no right to be in this office! Get out!"

"And you have no right to take what is my own property," Fayli replied calmly. The Hokage glared at Fayli, but the girl did not return the murderous look. Her eyes looked half open and her face held a bored expression that almost mirrored Kakashi's.

Sakura's eyes darted between Fayli and the Hokage, clearly torn about what to do.

"Please give it back. It's tiring to hold one eye closed," Fayli said. She extended her palm even further towards Sakura.

The Hokage sighed angrily. "Just give it back, Sakura."

Fayli nearly snatched it and quickly tied it around her head. She looked at the shinobi of the Hidden Leaf. "Thank you for treating me with your medical ninjutsu, but I must be heading home."

"And where is home exactly?" Kakashi pondered.

Halfway through her exit, Fayli stopped. "Why? Do you take me as a spy? Do you distrust me? If you wish to take me down, you may do so. I am still depleted of most of my chakra and still sore and injured. If you are as cautious as you seem to be saying, then let your actions speak for your words."

No one said anything. "I shall get going," Fayli said as she left, leaving the shinobi of the Hidden Leaf sinking in doubts about her.
