Sasuke replaced the towel on her forehead with a new one. He then began to wipe the rest of the blood off her face. Again. It was becoming tedious. Her hand twitched and he turned. 'Wait a second. If she was asleep, then her finger wouldn't have twitched.' Sasuke thought that a millisecond too late. The girl swung her foot and it connected to the side of his head. He hit the ground with a thud and blacked out.

Sasuke grunted as he awoke. Everything was still black. He then realized that he had a blindfold around his eyes and a gag in his mouth. Not to mention that he was tied up. His hands, feet, arms, and legs were all tied. His hands were tied in such a way that he couldn't reach his kunai or create any hand signs. 'Darn. I can't see or speak, much less escape. Think. Think..'

There was a chuckle in front of him. "If you're thinking you could escape, then you're wrong. If you're thinking that someone might come to help you, you're wrong again." The girl's voice was medium toned, not what he expected from the girl who had passed out. The unsettling part way that her voice held no sympathy, no elmostion. It was ice cold.

The girl snickered. "I just want you to answer a few questions first. Then, I'll set you free." Sasuke got the feeling that she didn't mean she'd let him walk free. He felt cold, slender hands on his neck and stiffened. He then felt the gag loosen around his mouth. The girl pulled the gag away.

"Now," She started. "Answer me this. Why?"

Sasuke was surprised. What did she mean? He didn't want to answer her, but his curiosity go the best of him. "What do you mean why?"

He could have sworn she rolled her eyes. He couldn't tell what what happening, but she was obviously annoyed. "I mean why did you help me? I blew fire at you and I yelled at you to stay away, so, why?"

He couldn't come up with an answer for that. He didn't know himself, but part of him did want to help the girl. He growled. "It was my team leader's decision. I didn't care one way or another. I just got stuck with taking care of you."

The girl let out a cold chuckle. "You? Take care of me? When you can't take care of yourself?" He felt hair brush against his cheek.

She whispered in his ear. "What a joke." She said that with no humor. Just a cold tone and full of spite. It sent chills down his spine. "Well, I'll be going. Bye." He was stunned.

"Y-you're leaving now?"

"Yes." The girl said calmly. "Oh. I almost forgot." He heard footsteps heading in his direction. She yanked off his blindfold and light streamed into his eyes. He shut his eyes and looked away.

When he was finally able to stand the sunlight, he looked up at the girl. Her eyes were narrow, cold, and calculating. "Now it's time to set you free." She kicked him in the jaw, making him briefly blackout.

Seconds later when Sasuke's vision returned, the room was smoky and hard to see through. He began coughing. He glanced at the window and caught a glimpse of the girl's gray hair trailing out the window before it closed. He then realized what jutsu this was. 'No way. This is...'

The girl ran out the window with a trail of smoke coming from her mouth. She then bit down and a spark appeared. It rushed down the trail and disappeared into the collage. Seconds later, the entire building exploded and went up in flames.

~ Elsewhere

"Naruto!" Sakura slammed her fist into Naruto's head. "Don't touch those!" She was carrying a basket full of healing herbs. Naruto bent down and rubbed his head.

"Why'd you do that Sakura?" He whinned.

"Because if you do you'll get poisoned idiot!" She yelled at him while glancing at some more plants.

Naruto's eyes sparkled.. "So you were worried about me?" He asked hopefully.

"Not a chance!" She huffed and crossed her arms. "Now let me buy these things so we can get back to Sasuke." She clasped her hands together. "I'm sure he's worried sick about me right now."

She dreamt up a fantasy.Sasuke was beside himself, holding a picture a Sakura in his hands. "I hope you come back to me safe and sound Sakura..."

Naruto rubbed the back of his head. "Uh hu. I doubt it." Sakura immediately snapped out of her fantasy and grabbed Naruto's collar.

Her eyes glinted wickedly. "If you say that again or anything like that I will strangle you myself."

Naruto cowered in fear. "G-got it."

Sakura released him. "Now I'm going to go buy these things." She turned to the shop owner who began the purchasing process.

Right before it was complete, there way a loud boom in the distance, and then a smoke cloud rose from the forest. People turned. A large flock of birds flew from that spot in the forest. "That's near the cottage!" Naruto yelled.

Sakura grabbed her basket and ran towards the forest with Naruto right on her heels. 'Please be alright Sasuke.' She thought desperately.

~ Elsewhere again

Kakashi sped through the town reaching the forest's edge before diving in. The Hokage's words echoed in his head.

Kakashi took a step back. "Is that bad?"

The Hokage stood. "Very. Retrieve Sasuke before she kills him."

-

'I know the girl is powerful. I could tell from her jutsu.' He leaped from one branch to the next. 'But is she that dangerous? Could she really kill Sasuke? No..' He shook his head. 'She can't. He even just awakened his sharingan. She couldn't beat him, could she..?'

His question was answered when, in the distance and in the direction of the cottage, there was a jaw-rattling boom, followed by a mushroom cloud rising from the forest tree tops. 'Oh no.' He ran faster. 'Please tell me that she didn't get a one up on you.'

Bode with me here. I know this is kinda short, and too want it to be longer. I just thought it would be a good place to stop here since the next one might be longer.
