Chapter 21: Goofy and Max on the Rocks

Max was still mad about losing to his dad, even if they made it to the semi-finals. Then Goofy came up behind him.

"Maxie! I've been lookin' all over for you, son. Where you been? I can't tell you how sorry I am," Goofy remarked.

"Save your breath! You may have won this time, but, Dad...Oh! This campus just isn't big enough for the both of us," Max stated harshly.

"I didn't mean for it to turn out this way, Max. I was just tryin' to get closer to ya," Goofy explained.

"Don't you get it? I'm trying to get away from you! I'm not a little kid anymore! Now just leave me alone and get your own life!" Max shouted.

He stalked into the class room, leaving Goofy now upset because of everything that has happened.

Then in the classroom, the students were preparing to take their Mid-term exam.

"Good morning, people. It would appear that it is time to start. You may open—" the professor said.

The door opened and Goofy walked in, still upset.

"Oh, Mr. Goof. Nice of you to join us today," the instructor replied.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. Right," Goofy responded.

"You may open your envelopes and begin," the instructor announced.

They did so, but once Goofy did, he looked up at Max, who was concentrating on his exam.

"Let's not have any wandering eyes," the professor said, bringing Goofy's eyes back to the exam.

As the test continued, Goofy just doodled his son's name. Then he was so distracted that it seemed a rainbow-haired version of himself in a green tux came and took him to a land where there were colorful fairies that looked like Max. While he was having tea, the fairies combined to look like Max exactly. Then it got crazy when he got bigger and meaner. He basically shoved Goofy away, making him fall as things from the past few months appeared.

"You're fired!" his former boss yelled.

The van that Max got in to go to college honked at him.

"I notice you don't have a college degree," the woman who told him to go to college said.

"Come on, son. I can't miss you if you won't leave," Pete bellowed.

Then he landed on a peg with horseshoes around it and continued to fall. He finally landed and everything went white from a flash of light. He got up groggily only to hear a familiar voice.

"Get your own life!" it yelled.

"Huh?" Goofy said.

"Get your own life!" it continued.

"Huh?" Goofy replied once again.

Then he looked up to see the rainbow-haired Goofy with Max.

"Leave me alone and get your own life!" Max shouted then closed a door that left Goofy where he was.

He just cried, feeling like his son hated him.

"Pencils down. I said, pencils down," the professor stated.

Goofy was back in the classroom and the professor took his exam.

"Wait a minute. I'm not finished!" Goofy begged.

"It's over, Mr. Goof," the professor said.

Goofy was now fully depressed. He couldn't do anything, not even show up to this little get-together Sylvia prepared for him. It was getting really bad.
