Once again, Sensei Wu's meditation was interrupted by the sound of the ninja yelling. He got up to check the room the ninja are usually in, to which in his surprise they were not.

He went into the training room, seeing all four ninja there, working on their skills.

Zane sat on the floor channeling his shurikens power. Jay was using his nunchucks to deflect the arrows being shot at him. Cole was using his scythe to beat on dummies. Lastly, Kai was practicing his spinjitzu.

All of a sudden Zane got up, grabbing Jay's nunchucks and deflecting the arrows. Then he jumped over to Cole, grabbing his Scythe and breaking the dummies. Lastly, he used his spinjitzu, freezing the floor below him and causing Kai to slip and fall.

"Ugh, this roof isn't big enough for all of us." Kai complained, getting  up from the floor. "Correction, this roof isn't big enough for Zane." Cole says.

Zane continues to train as Wu walks towards the ninja. "Sensei, Zane is weird." Kai told his Sensei. "What is weird, someone who is different, or someone different from you?" The Sensei asked. "No Sensei, he's weird weird." Cole stated, as Zane bowed down to a dummy.

"We like the guy, he's really smart, but sometimes he's a little off." Kai finished. "Zane is a brother, brothers are often different, I should know.."

There was a knock on the door, catching the ninja and Wu's attention. "Mail!" Three out of the four ninja yelled in excitement. They open the door to see the mailman behind it.

"Alright, A letter from Jay's parents, fan letter for Kai, Cole a package and letter from your father." Jay and Kai immediately read their mail while Cole on the other hand is a bit hesitant and instead shoves his mail in his gi. "Rocky is gonna love this!" He said excitedly, running to his dragon.

Zane watched as his brothers read their letters. "Hey Zane, how come you don't get any mail from your parents?" Jay asked, waving his letter in front of him. "I have no memory of my parents, I have been an orphan all my life." Jay awkwardly put down his letter, feeling guilty.

"Here we are all family." Wu said, trying to comfort his pupil. Zane only looked down, walking inside the Monastery. It's not that he isn't grateful, he only wishes he could know more of where he's from, not knowing only frustrates him.

___

"I can't believe you hypnotized one of the ninja, doess the General know?" A serpent asked. "Of coursse not, that fool iss sstill under that child's sspell." Skales said, looking at Lloyd with disgust.

General Slithraa slithers towards his right hand man, being displeased with the lack off work. "Everyone workss while you two sslack, I expected better from you Skaless."

(Y/n) leaned against the wooden wall, listening in on the Serpents conversation. "General, I am mosst loyal to you, but I musst question your childish agenda." Skales says, trying to reason with his general. "Ssnakes don't belong on treess." "You know better than to quesstion my judgment, know your place." The general hissed, slithering away.

As Skales began to get back to work, (Y/n) pulled him back, slamming him against the wooden wall. "What is the meaning of this, I'll have you know I'm the General's second in-" "I do not care what you are to the general, he is hypnotized anyway so your status means nothing." She quickly said, glaring at the snake.

"I never intended on freeing the Serpentine, but what is done is done." "Where are you going with this human." He hissed, glaring back at the girl.

Skales watched every movement the girl made. "I know how much you dislike the people of Ninjago, but if that hatred every were to be unleashed onto the boy, then you may not like what happens next." She threatened.

"As if a human girl could do anything, I'll have you know that I can hypnotize you whenever I wish and get away with it." (Y/n) only smiled at the attempt of a threat the serpent threw at her. "Like how you got away with hypnotizing the elemental master of earth?" She teased, causing Skales body to run cold. "Do not worry, I will not intervene with your plot to become general of your tribe." She stated, reassuring Skales.

"I only ask the boy remains unharmed, if you cannot follow that simple request then I will hunt down every single Serpentine, letting you live with the guilt until you finally breath your last breath, ending the race of your kind." Skales flinched when he met the girls eyes. He saw no guilt, no remorse, she was inhumane.

"I won't harm the boy." He said in fear. (Y/n) patted the serpent's head, then walked out of the wooden fortress. Skales forced himself to focus on building the treehouse, distracting himself from the threat the girl said.

"Sneak attack!" (Y/n) quickly turned around, catching the young boy in her arms. "Sneak attacks will not work if you yell." She informed. Lloyd pouted, crossing his arms.

"Well, teach me how to sneak attack, that's an order!" Lloyd yelled, getting a nod from (Y/n).

___

Everyone was all seated around the table, waiting for Zane's food. "I love it when it's Zane turn to cook!" Jay exclaims. "I didn't hear any complaints with my food." Cole said proudly. "Uh, that's cuz it glued our mouths shut!" Jay yelled, getting the others to laugh.

Zane walked out, wearing a pink flowered apron. "Dinner is served." Zane said happily, setting down the plates of food. They all stared for a while before bursting into laughing fits.

Zane's happy aura disappears, replaced with a confused one. "What's so funny?" He asked, wanting to understand what they are all laughing at. "Zane you're wearing a- even I wouldn't wear that." Nya states, trying to calm her laughter.

The white ninja thinks for a moment, trying to understand why they laugh. "You laugh because I take measures to be clean?" "We laugh because you came out wearing that ridiculous outfit." Kai chuckled. "It appears we do not share the same humor." Zane concludes, after understanding the joke and still not finding it humorous.

"How about this?" Cole grabs a plate of shrimp, smashing it in Jay's face. "Ugh!" Jay whined, but laughed. "See, it's funny, argh!" Cole yells, feeling the bowl of soup drip down his face. "Now it is funny." Wu states, sitting back down. Zane only stood there, watching a food fight take place.

After that little battle with food, Zane stepped out of the Monastery. "He looked so cute in it." He heard Nya coo,as he threw away his pink apron. "Such a waste." He muttered.

A bird catches his attention, feeling a strange connection. Zane tilts his head, the bird doing the same thing. He flaps his arms, the bird coping the movements. The bird then flies away, causing Zane to follow.

The black colored bird lead Zane to a treehouse, much to his surprise. "If I see even one girl I'm gonna go ballistic." Lloyd stated, as he watched the Serpentine build his base.

Zane turned his attention to the caped stranger. It did make sense to him that they would be protecting the dark lord's son, but why would Lord Garmadon ask them to only do that. The caped stranger only got one of the golden weapons, you would think they would focus more on that.

The next day (Y/n) stood closly to Lloyd. She had seen the white ninja watching over their hideout, and knowing the ninja to be incredibly smart she made sure to stick by her mission.

"How come it can't be any bigger?" Lloyd complained, clossing his arms in annoyance. "If it were to be any bigger then the whole fortress would come crashing down."

Lloyd's annoyance only lasted a few minutes before he pulled on (Y/n)'s arm. "Lemme show you something cool." He lead her to a serpent minding his own business. "You there! Hold up that sign!" He commanded, the serpent doing as told.

"No ninja allowed?" She read in confusion, before Lloyd pulled a lever sending the serpent falling. "Mwhaha!" "Did that serpent do something for you to be angered?" She asked, looking at the young boy.

"I'm being evil, is that not what my father would do..?" He asked sheepishly. "Lord Garmadon is only harsh with the ones who do not do the job correctly or who are most likely to betray him." She stated, grabbing the golden weapon and pulling her hood over her head. "How does he know who's going to betray him?" He questions, looking up at the girl.

(Y/n) thought back at the many times her Lord would verbally and physically hurt her because he thought she would try something to kill him. She thought back at the many times she had to change her appearance to make him calm down. The many times she had to change her voice to match the one of his beloved for the pain to go away.

"(Y/n)?" The boy's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. "Are you okay?" "My well being is not important." She said, before the fortress began to shake. "WAH! What's going on!"

(Y/n) immediately put the golden weapon on her back, held Lloyd in her arms and jumped out of the fortress. She quickly grabbed onto a vine, slowing down her fall but at the cost of a burning hand.

As soon as they made impact onto the ground, Lloyd fell to the floor and (Y/n) lightly winced at the burning sensation. "I don't feel so good." The child groaned, getting back onto his feet.

The Serpentine headed into the forest, to escape the eyes of the ninja. "You let them destroy my treehouse!" Lloyd yelled, throwing a small fit.

"They have desstroyed your home, how about we return the favor." Skales suggested, getting a quick nod from the boy. "(Y/n) go with them and make sure they don't mess it up." He commanded.

(Y/n) took the sword from her back, and handed it to Lloyd. "To defend." She said, Lloyd looking at the sword in complete awe as it sparked a small flame. "So cool!"

Skales lead the angry mob of Serpentine, making their way to the Monastery. While on this small trip, (Y/n) felt glares from every direction. It didn't bother her in the slightest, but she did keep her guard up.

"Here we are, retrieve the sstaff, and don't be afraid to break anything." Skales said, running to search for the staff.

(Y/n) only looked around, gliding her hand across the wall. A little dust got onto her finger tips, but she only wiped it on her hood.

The sudden smell of something burning caught her attention immediately. She ran out of the building, seeing the whole place on fire and she was alone.

The fear overpowered the rage she was feeling for the Serpentine. (Y/n) covered her ears, shutting her eyes. Those screams intensified, hearing their cries for help, and that sick sadistic laughter.

She heard the roaring of a dragon, and followed it with hesitation. (Y/n) saw only three of the guardians, roaring in pain from the fire. She slowly guided her hand to the level, releasing them from that torture.

The guardians fly over to the Monastery, the ice dragon extinguishing the flames. They all surrounded the girl, who was still shaking from fear.

The earth dragon placed his head under (Y/n)'s hand, as a form of gratitude. The gesture calmed (Y/n) a bit, but the screams could still be heard in her head.

"Our home!" (Y/n) turned her head to the source of the noise, immediately getting punched in the face, falling back onto the ground. That action caused everyone to flinch in shock and surprise.

(Y/n) pressed her fingers on her nose, making sure she wasn't bleeding, turning her body around to get up. Her face harshly hit the ground again as Kai kicked her down.

The three dragons whimpered, sadden by the fact that their savior was being beaten by their master. Zane took notice of the guardians sudden change of behavior and pulled Kai back, stopping him from hurting the hooded stranger.

"Zane what are you doing!" He yelled with rage, thrashing in his teammate's hold. "You are taking action out of anger, I am stopping you from doing something you may regret."

The girl pushed herself off the floor, silently cursing at herself for letting her guard down. "Where's my weapon!" He hissed at her, Zane having more trouble trying to calm the fire ninja down.

(Y/n) casually walked away from the group, as the screaming in her head began to die down.

Once out of sight, Kai pushed Zane away from him. "You let him escape!" "They did not do this, if they had then the dragons would have attacked." Zane reasoned, but it only angered Kai more.

"If you hadn't followed that stupid bird none of this would've happened!" "My high score... gone." Jay said sadly.

"We should take this as a learning experience." "Wha- Our home is destroyed Zane, don't you get that!" Cole yelled, causing the ninja to zone out.

Maybe it was his fault, but nothing to dwell on now. He'll make it up to them, he'll find a way. With a sigh he looks up, smiling when he sees the falcon.

___

(Y/n) leaned on the iced wall, watching as the two Serpentine duel to be the general. "Slither pit, slither pit, slither pit!" They chanted, cheering and betting on which side will win.

"Do you think Slithraa will win?" Lloyd asked, afraid of the answer. (Y/n) looked at the two, Slithraa was the bigger serpent, but he didn't show any sign of skill, while Skales knew how to fight. It's easy to know who will win.

"We have a winner!" A serpent declared, giving the staff back to Skales. His transformation began, as Slithraa was reduced back to a normal serpent. "You will be loyal to me now." Skales hissed, Slithraa bowing down to his new general.

Skales looked over at the land dwellers, glaring at both. "Leave and never return." Though he sounded very stern and intimidating, with a glow of (Y/n)'s eyes, she knew he was still frightened of her.

Lloyd grabbed a hold of (Y/n), pulling her out of the underground tomb. Once he was satisfied with the distance, he came to a stop, catching his breath.

His anger boiled inside him as he opened the map harshly. "Those stupid hypnotizing snakes, who do they think they are to betray me!" He yelled. "No one betrays Lloyd Garmadon."
