They finally arrived at Torch Fire Moutain. (Y/n) was in her room, not wanting to feel the heat from the volcano. She played with the flower, distracting herself from whatever is going on outside. She looked up from the flower and at the door. "I can hear you, if you are going to come in then just enter." She said, placing the flower behind her ear.
Jay sheepishly poked his head in, walking to the girl. "Hey, so, just wanted to make sure the venom wore off." He said, the girl staring at him suspiciously. "And it looks like its all gone so I'll be going--" "No, you can stay if you like." She said, criss-crossing her legs to make room on the bed.
He was a good distraction for her, he could make her feel better just like how he did back in that arcade. "I prefer you to stay." (Y/n) patted the bed, smiling at him. The blue ninja laughed nervously, sitting on the far side of the bed. "Did you really only come to check if I was still affected?" She questioned.
The ninja froze for a bit, the silence becoming awkward. "Um, well kinda, I.. I don't get you at all." He admitted, looking at her. "One minute you're against us, the next you tell us useful information, then you're against us again." She tilted her head. "Garmadon is like your master, I get that, but can you just choose a side already?"
She stared at him, Jay keeping his gaze to the floor. "I was never on your side." The blue ninja flinched, looking back at her with shock. "Information I have ever given you either didn't matter or benefitted both of us, why did you automatically think I would change sides?"
It was a temporary teamwork, she assumed they knew that. Lord Garmadon teamed with them, why didn't they question him about this. "Why not come to our side?" Her face dulled. "Oh? This conversation again?" He was doing the opposite of why she wanted him here for.
"Garmadon isn't even that good to you, he belittles you, when you had that panic attack he was the first to leave!" "Well, it's not as if I asked for his help." She shrugged, wanting a way to end the conversation. "It was embarrassing, I'm glad he didn't see it."
(Y/n) stood from the bed, Jay doing the same. "Lord Garmadon has a goal, and I am here to make sure he achieves it." She stated, grabbing the flower. "I believe in what he's doing, I never asked for you to understand but don't be so simple minded and think I would betray my lord just for you."
She's never once tried to convert them into thinking the way she thinks. Yes, she's given her veiws of things but wouldn't force her ideals on them. Why is he doing that with her, why does he make her feel like everything she knows or does is wrong. It's not wrong, Lord Garmadon is in the right, he has a vision, a good vision.
"We're on opposite sides, the only ally I have on your team is Nya." Her only friend. Jay let out a defeated sigh, not sure what else to tell her. "Do you know why I'm wearing the fire ninja's gi?" She suddenly questioned.
The bounty had shifted, slamming (Y/n) against the wall, Jay falling ontop of her. An alarm rang around the bounty, causing Jay to cringe from the loud noise.
"PYTHOR'S ONBOARD!"
The two looked at eachother for moment before Jay ran out to help. Though, it was a bit difficult since the bounty was tilted an awkward way, and Jay had to push himself off of (Y/n) without putting his whole body weight onto her.
Finally both were able to get out of the room, running onto the upper deck. "SENSEI!" Jay went to go help the ninja with Wu. (Y/n) shrugged, deciding not to help the ninja this time. Two reasons: one, to teach Jay a lesson on not to rely on her too much, and two, because she hopes they make a slip up and Wu falls.
Much to her disappointment, Nya had helped the ninja from dropping their master. Pythor had made his escape on a Fangpyre helicopter, and Lloyd was gloating that he had managed to get a hit. "There's no time to lose, we can't have Pythor unleash the Great Devourer!"
Lloyd was quick to give everyone there weapons. "Can I come too, I'll be helpful!" "This is not a battle for the green ninja." Wu explained. "Yeah lil Garmadon, besides, someone needs to steer the bounty." Jay comforted, but didn't really do much.
The group left, leaving (Y/n) and Lloyd on the ship. "Hmpf, they never let me do anything!" "You have zero training in combat, it wouldn't be the smartest choice to jump into it, you know?" (Y/n) stated, grabbing the boy's hand and guiding him to the bridge.
Lloyd blushed at the skin contact, feeling how quickly his hand got cold when she let go. "Um.. to ouroboros." Lloyd declared, watching (Y/n) set course. The green ninja squirmed a bit, opening his mouth but closing it.
"If you need to ask anything, go ahead." She said, shocking the boy. "Oh, well um..." He stuttered, having trouble forming the question. "Y-Yesterday you were hit with the Serpentine's venom." "Venomari venom? Don't worry, I'm okay." "No- I mean that's good too but-"
(Y/n) glanced at him suspiciously, raising a brow. "They said you don't like me." He whimpered. It took her awhile to really understand what he meant. "Stupid skeletons." She sighed, shaking her head. "Whatever they told you don't worry too much on it, it doesn't mean much."
"So you hate me!" Lloyd yelled at her, tears threatened to fall. "It's more complicated than that." It really wasn't, she knew the answer. But, she needs to choose her words carefully. Just see him as a mission, see him as something Lord Garmadon will be proud of if you succeed. He's not a person, just a mission. He's not the green ninja, just a mission. He's not Lord Garmadon's son, just a mission.
"I'm just unable to have any feelings, your feelings come before mine." Which is true. She would never be put above anything else. Despite getting along well with Kruncha and Nuckal, they still wouldn't put her first. Over anything else, they would put eachother first. They have history together, she can't get mad at that.
When it comes to Lord Garmadon and Lloyd. He knew her longer, she stayed with him longer, she did everything he asked. But because of his son, she's still a second choice, a punching bag, doormat. If he didn't have a son, maybe he'd love her more.
"The ninja are stranded." She said, Lloyd looking at the screen to see a venom-ized part of a bus. "These ninja can't do anything on there own, not to worry, the green ninja is here to save the day!" The boy went to go drop the anchor, (Y/n) staring back at the screen. "We're losing."
___
"Great idea (Y/n), the Great Devourer likes to eat, well here's a buffet." Kai hissed, the girl backing away. "Can I explain?" She muttered, barely containing the whimper, feeling uncomfortable under his gaze. "All attention is on you, girly." Nya comforted.
(Y/n) placed down a blueprint. "Back in the underworld, the four of you were able to preform the Tornado of Creation and trap the Skulkin." It wasn't that good of a structure, but still impressive as it was their first time preforming the art. "This is a bit more complicated but you will be able to do it."
Someone had entered the junkyard, Cole and Jay checking to see who it is, though the rest of the team followed anyway. "ACK! You ninja's, sneaking around, you're going to give people heart attacks." "We didn't mean to scare anyone, but you should leave." Cole advised.
"Well, I have a job too ya know, and that's delivering mail." "Dude! My parents aren't even home, go away!" The mailman looked at the blue ninja, giving him the mail. "What? Are they at the take back Ninjago rally too?" "Take back Ninjago?" (Y/n) questioned.
"Ninjago hasn't been conquered yet, what are they having a rally for?" She added. "Oh ya know, with all the snake problems." He answered. "Wait, now that I think about it, everytime I run into you ninja, trouble isn't that far behind."
Just as he said that, the Great Devourer towered over him. Slowly the mailman turned around, screaming as he ran into a trashcan. The ninja preformed the Tornado of Creation, making a vehicle. "Woah, I wanna do that!" Lloyd yelled. (Y/n) held him close so he wouldn't fly off.
They were able to hold down the large serpent for a few mintutes before it got away. "Zane are you okay?" Nya asked, watching the nindroid push off the large metal piece on him. "Affirmative."
"So much for this plan, it went south so quick." Jay complained. "But didn't you notice, it had a weak spot." Kai added. "Oh yay, the large snake has a itty bitty tini weak spot THAT'LL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO HIT!" "It's heading to that Ninjago village." (Y/n) said, pointing towards the city.
"Great, the junkyard was a buffet, Ninjago would be basically paradise." Cole said hopelessly. "I can get us there before the Devourer gets there." The girl said, getting everyone's attention. "Lord Garmadon taught me a sort of teleportation trick, I'm still a bit unsure if that is from my power or his sorcery, but I can help."
Lloyd nodded, jumping onto the girl's leg. "Whatever, somethings better than nothing." Kai said, shrugging. They all moved closer to her, (Y/n) placing a hand onto the ground.
A color of purple surrounded them, (Y/n) eyes glowing the same. The world around them twisted and blurred until it cleared and it showed Ninjago.
(Y/n) collapsed, Lloyd and Cole running to help her up. "I thought... it would take less energy than that." She groaned, leaning her head on Cole's chest. "Alright, we have to perpare for the Great Devourer." Cole ordered his team, the ninja running off to trap the serpent.
"Lloyd, stay with (Y/n), keep her safe." Cole said, before leaving with the others. "I can do that, don't worry (Y/n), I can protect you." The girl let out a huff, forcing herself up, only to drop back down. "Be careful!" He scolded, helping her into a sitting position. "Lloyd, I need to help." "No, stay here!"
She was annoyed, she doesn't trust them with the snake, they're going to either die or lose the city. Garmadon can't rule over the dead. Heck, he tried and they didn't listen to him. "Forgive my defiance, I'll receive whatever punishment you give with no complaint." "Wha-"
(Y/n) held Lloyd's face to look into her glowing eyes. Slowly she lulled him to sleep. She whimpered at the slight pain it caused her. "Sorry, forgive me." She placed the boy gently on the soft dirt of the ground.
Pushing herself up, forcing herself to walk, she left the alley, seeing the large snake. She lifted the red mask to cover her face. (Y/n) fell back, being pushed by the fear-filled people. She paused for a bit waiting on the panicked people to pass by.
Buildings were falling apart, people laying lifeless on the ground. The ninja weren't doing a good job. Though, she wasn't doing any good either, as she used most of her energy to bring them here and put Lloyd to sleep.
There were still people, so she would help them. It was a bit hard to be much of any use because they all pushed one another to get away. With an annoyed huff, she pushed people out of her way, going the opposite direction they were going.
Two people she recognized immediately, quickly running over to them. "(Y/n) dear, what are you doing here? Have you been eating like I told you?" The girl pulled the older couple into a hug to save them from the falling tower that now lays behind them.
"Oh, we would have visited more if we knew you'd miss us this much." Edna said, tightening the hug. "We missed you so much, dear." Her husband added. "Uh, yeah, I missed the both of you." She muttered out, pushing the two in the direction the people are going. "Get to safety, I'll meet you again later, oh, and Lloyd is somewhere, if you find him, take him." The couple didn't argue because the girl already ran off.
The more she continued, the more bodies she found. She was unfazed by the corpses, but she was angry that the ninja weren't that much of a help evacuating the city. (Y/n) heard a child crying, changing her objective to find the hurt child.
She found her, laying on the ground in front of a broken building, bruised and dirty. (Y/n) picked her up, causing the girl to flinch. "Don't worry, don't worry." The small girl let out a ear bleeding scream, causing (Y/n) to turn around and see the Devourer looming over them.
Before it could eat them, the world shifted again, now the two were inside the building beside it. (Y/n) fell to her knees, feeling her heart beating harshly against her chest. The little girl patted her cheek, tears falling from her face. "I'm alive, don't worry, I'm alive." She said, wiping away the tears.
The Great Devourer looked like it caught onto something, it slithered away rather quickly. "Look, it's gone, no more crying." The little girl didn't look outside, only held tightly onto her hero.
She only helped one civilian, but how would she help the rest. This one wouldn't be letting her go any time soon, and even if she did, she'd be overusing her power. Which isn't a bad thing but it is unhealthy to rely on it too much.
"Are you strong enough to go back outside with me?" (Y/n) asked, making sure the girl was alright. Once she nodded they both went outside, (Y/n) covering the girl's eyes to sheild her from any more trauma she'll have.
Along the way, (Y/n) helped a few people. Some were under fallen debris, others she helped walk to saftey as their legs were broken, and children she found she would give to adults to keep them safe.
The little braided haired girl stayed, not wanting anyone else to care for her. The girl pulled onto the red mask, making sure (Y/n) was still good. "Don't worry to much about me, worry about yourself." The clouds turned dark, lightning striking.
(Y/n)'s face lit up, watching her Lord ontop of the building. "Look, that's Lord Garmadon, he's going to help." The girl looked up, seeing the Dark Lord jump off the building, and strike the Devourer.
The two had to enter a building again, so they wouldn't be drowned by the large amount of goo the serpent spilt. The little girl peeked her head over (Y/n)'s shoulders, patting her back to tell her she wanted to go outside again.
"See, my Lord is amazing." She cooed, blush coloring her face. The little girl forcefully took the mask off, now seeing her hero's face. "Not what you expected?" She asked the girl. "I'm not sure why, but everyone expects a man behind every mask." The girl shook her head.
"I suppose you didn't think that." (Y/n) carried her to a nearby shelter, putting the girl down. She held onto her, not wanting to let go. "I can't keep you, but if you like I will visit." Hesitantly, she let go, (Y/n) giving a small smile before leaving.
The town was in shambles, and hundreds have died, but nothing she could do about it, she helped where she helped. "Ow." She hissed, looking at the ground to see a very small snake. It had a sharp tail and was a bright green color. It hissed at her, rattling its tail, probably in fear of her.
(Y/n) knelt down, putting a hand out to the snake. "You bite me?" She questioned, watching the little serpent hiss at her a bit before wrapping itself onto her. "You didn't use your venom." That was a statement, she didn't feel that burning sensation her Lord described to her when he was bitten, which was weird.
Forcefully, she opened the mouth of the snake, bringing out it's fangs. "You're extremely vulnerable now." She said, her eyes glowing, smiling as she felt it tighten its hold on her. Lord Garmadon weakened it, he got his revenge, but it's still not dead. "He would have ordered me to kill you." Her arm was going a bit numb, the snake hissing.
"You're no threat, so I'll keep you." Her sadistic smile was replaced by a gentle one. It released its hold, tilting its head in confusion. "What Lord Garmadon doesn't know won't hurt me." She said, letting the snake slither around her. "I know how to care for other living things, I've had a pet spider before."
It wrapped itself inside the red gi, liking the coldness her body produced. "Alright then, you're mine for now." If it ever decided to leave her, she wouldn't do anything about it. "Make sure to hide yourself, I won't be able to protect you if you get found."
The snake was already sleeping, while (Y/n) continued her walk to find the ninja. "I can't believe Lord Garmadon saved us." Someone said. "Guess he isn't that bad." "Just cuz he's done one good thing doesn't make up for all the bad things he's done."
Garmadon didn't do anything to them, they only heard stories, and spread rumors. Garmadon attempted to take the golden weapons, he never stole them, they were his by right, being the oldest son of the first spinjitzu master. Is that all that he did? What other 'bad' things did he do?
"(Y/N)!" She flinched, straightening her posture before realizing it was just Lloyd yelling at her. "Don't leave me again, how did you even get away, I had my eyes on you the whole time, I blink for one second and everything is destroyed, what happened?!"
At his loud voice, the snake tightened his hold on her, making her lose a bit of breath. "I used my power to put you to sleep." She said, petting at her belly to calm the snake. "I helped the village, isn't that what you wanted?" The anger he felt was reasonable, she disobeyed, but on another note she did make herself useful.
"I guess, but it's not a village, this is a city." Lloyd corrected, hugging the girl. If he felt the snake on her, he said nothing, only staying in the position he was in. "I like you, please don't leave." Lloyd was still afraid. Afraid that everything the two of them went through was just a lie.
(Y/n) smiled, patting his head. Why are you only clingy to me? "I can't leave you." No matter how hard I try. "So stop worrying." It's getting annoying. "I like you too." Because I have to.
