Yesterday had been a long day for everyone. It took a while before Lloyd was calm enough to sleep, and that only happened when (Y/n) offered to sleep in the same bed. She had lulled him back to sleep, whispering sweet nothings into his ear.

The next morning, (Y/n) was up early, the sun barely rising. She isn't used to the time in this realm yet, but she's getting there. She turned to see Lloyd still asleep, and carefully got off the bed.

She sat on the floor, placing her head to her knees. She sighed, trying to get that nightmare she had out of her head. It wasn't that much of a nightmare, more like an annoying dream that keeps recurring. The only thing that actually scared her in the dream was the fire feeling too real.

(Y/n) looked up, seeing Wu enter the room she and Lloyd were currently sleeping in. "Greetings." Wu bowed, only getting a stare from the girl. "May I have a seat?" She said nothing, and the old man took a seat on the floor in front of her anyway. "I am Sensei Wu, I'm sure my brother has mentioned me at least once."

Her stare turned venomous, Wu trying to look unfazed. "You let him get biten." Wu winced at the mention of that, but tried to calm himself. "Ah, well, how is he doing, I hope he is well." "My Lord is fine." His questions only made her grow suspicious, and the glare only made the Sensei squirm.

"That is nice to hear." He smiled, desperately trying to clear the tention in the air. "Uncle?" Lloyd whispered, sitting up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Lloyd, good timing, do you think you can mess with the ninja's things, I am teaching them the ugliness to runors." Lloyd jumped out of bed at the mention of that, having a wide smile on his face. "Like pranks, sure, I'm good with pranks."

(Y/n) stood up with Lloyd, following him outside the room. "Let's mess with Kai's things first." He cooed, stepping into the gaming room. He picked up a controller, handing one to (Y/n). "The point of the game is to do cool tricks and try not to crash into any obstacle." She stared at the controller before looking up at the screen in awe. "There are living things trapped inside?" She asked, poking the TV.

"(Y/n) no, nothing in the tv is real, especially the news." He said, pulling her away from the tv. "Just like I said, it's a game." He was the black ninja while (Y/n) was the white one. At the start, Lloyd's dragon did a loop, (Y/n) however, immediately crashed into a nearby lamppost. Lloyd bursted out laughing only to crash into a tall building. "Awe.." He whined. "We both suck at this."

"Is my.. Is my dragon supposed to be in flames?" Lloyd smacked his forhead. "How did that happen, it's not even programed to do that."

They finally won, Lloyd jumping excited as he was the one to beat it. "Next up, Cole." He says, looking inside the pot that the black ninja is cooking. He takes a sip of the cooking, humming. "I don't know what the other guys are thinking, this tastes good." (Y/n) took a bite out of the soup, nodding in agreement.

"Now to ruin it." Lloyd climbed up the counter, with the help of (Y/n). He started dumping in spices, just straight up dropping in the whole bottle. "This should be good enough." Lloyd chuckled, jumping off the counter.

Lloyd had (Y/n) carry a basket of white and red clothing to put to wash, while he unscrewed a few parts of Jay's machine. "Um, I may have pressed the wrong things for the ninja's gi." (Y/n) stated, knowing for a fact she pressed random buttons. "That's fine, we wanted to mess them up anyway."

"Hey, you're up early for a kid." Nya stated, Lloyd going to hide behind (Y/n). "Well, he would still be resting if not for his uncle." Nya frowns at the two, but quickly replaces it with a smile. "How's your neck?" (Y/n) felt Lloyd's hold tighten on her. "It would be best not to mention it." She answers, motioning to the boy. "Ah, right, sorry, I'll just be in the bridge if you need me." With that, Nya left the awkward tension.

Lloyd heard the ninja arguing and smiled. "Looks like our hard work paid off, let's go!" He pulled her into the room the ninja were in, and smiled widely.

"You couldn't just be happy with the top score, you had to rub it in!" Kai hissed at Cole.

You know how long it took me to make that, three days, THREE DAYS!" Cole yelled at Jay, throwing his apron down.

"Its an unsaid rule, you don't touch another man's robot!"

"How am I supposed to strike fear in the hearts of enemies, it's pink!"

Lloyd entered the room, having a big mischievous smile plastered on his face. "You had something to do with this didn't you!" Kai yelled, (Y/n) stood in front of Lloyd to put a barrier between them. "Stand down." She hissed, pushing him back by his chest.

As Kai was about to say something, their master walked in. "That is enough!" He yelled, causing his students stop the arguing. "I was the one who put him up to this, to show you the harm in rumors, did any of you even bother to ask if the accusations were true?"

The ninja looked down, feeling slight guilt. "Not to disrespect you, Sensei, but today's lessons are lame." "Yeah that has nothing to do with training." Jay added. "Not necessarily true, your master was testing the strength of your team's trust, which you failed at." (Y/n) stated. "How do you expect to procet others if you are unable to have trust in one another."

Lloyd clung onto the girl's leg, sticking his tongue at the ninja. "No one needs your opinion." Kai hissed. "Besides, what do you know of trust, you betrayed the Serpentine when you were backed into a corner." "There was no betrayal if I was never on their side to begin with, they knew that already." She says, pushing his hand from her face which got another growl from him.

"I said enough!" His master yelled again, causing the fire elemental to shrink.

"If all of you are done fooling around, I could use you in the bridge, we still got a snake problem to clean up." Nya said over the speaker, causing (Y/n) to flinch. "Where did that come from?" She muttered, following Lloyd to where Nya was.

"Last we saw of Pythor, he stole the map Lloyd had to open the remaining tombs." Lloyd pulled on his sleeves, feeling guilty. (Y/n) notices his negative emotions and hesitantly pats his head. The boy smiles, leaning into her hand.

"If he finds those tombs before we do, and unites all four tribes, who knows what might happen." "Yeah, but theres one thing, Pythor has a map, we don't." Jay stated, crossing his arms.

"Actually, I may just have figured that out." Nya hums, throwing two darts at the board. "These are the tombs of the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre tribes." She throws another dart. "And this is Pythor's, after hours of studying why the tombs were placed in these locations I finally figured it out."

Before Nya could say anything more, (Y/n) threw two more darts. "That's where the last tombs are." She stated, extremely bored with the long report. Nya stood there in shock before her blood began to boil. "That took me hours to figure out, how did you know where they were!"

"It was not that difficult, at one glance the pattern is easy to see, besides, your master was one of the people to imprison the Serpentine, you could have simply asked." Nya huffed, feeling defeated. "Well, at least it's one hundred percent confirmed." Jay said, trying to clear the tension.

"Okay so, Zane and I will scout the Constrictai, Jay and Kai can go scout the Venomari." Cole states. "This would be the perfect opportunity to test out our weapons." Jay chirped, having Kai hiss. "Yeah it would, if only I still had my weapon." He glared at the girl.

"Oh my, it seems I may have misplaced the weapon, oh well, shame." She sarcastically says, getting a laughing fit from Lloyd. In a matter of seconds, (Y/n) was pinned down on the table. "Where. Is. My. Weapon." He hissed. She shivered under his hold, fear clearly written on her face, which confused the elemental master of fire.

"Leave her alone!" Lloyd kicked Kai in the back of the leg, causing the red ninja to jump around in pain. "Ow ow ow ow." (Y/n) sat up, soothing her wrists. "Your weapon is just under your bed, honestly, it is sad that I had to tell you rather than you finding it on your own." She states, leaving the room, Lloyd following close behind. "Hidden in plain sight."

"Kai didn't hurt you, right?" He asked, doubting that there was even a mark. "Not much." She whispered. "But you did a good job attacking from behind." Lloyd smiled, turning to see all four ninja jump from the bounty.

"Man, why do we have to stay here where it's boring." Lloyd complained. "We technically do not have to stay, I am the one protecting you, so if you say you want to go anywhere, then I am obligated to take you." Lloyd smiled, quickly running into one of the rooms and coming right back.

"Here's a map, we should go to Ninjago City, I heard it's really big there, they have billboards, games, candy--- Hey what are you doing!" He yelped in surprise, not expecting to be picked up and be standing on the rails.

"Would you still like to go to Ninjago?" Lloyd nodded, and with the confirmation, (Y/n) took a step back, falling off the bounty, having Lloyd yell in fear.

His screaming came to a stop when he no longer felt as if he were falling. He opened his eyes, and saw he was on a voilet dragon. "Woah!" The dragon was flying straight to Ninjago, Lloyd already getting giddy.

They landed a few miles outside of Ninjago, (Y/n) stating that she didn't want anyone noticing her power. "Come on (Y/n), hurry!" Lloyd was running towards the city, (Y/n) following behind, pulling her hood over her head. "Let's go see if they have any good candy." Lloyd said, going into one of the stores.

(Y/n) picked up a strange looking cup, looking at all sides of it. "This isn't a candy store!" Lloyd yelled in frustration. "The sign did read 'Grand Master Dareth's Mojo Dojo'." She stated, placing the item down. "It even showed a picture." Lloyd chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh well, I didn't  see that and I can't read..."

They left the dojo, Lloyd running into a different store. "Ughhh, books." He groaned. "Ninjago Doomsday Comixz." (Y/n) said before wondering the store, finding herself in an aisle alone. The covers of the books looked weird, mostly young female in tight clothing.

Lloyd ran up to (Y/n) jumping up and down. "Look (Y/n), this paper book thing looks so cool, can we get it?" "But I thought you were unable to--" "You can get something too, but hurry up, I wanna look through it." She grabbed the closest thing near her and followed Lloyd to the counter.

"Oh my god is that Lord Garmadon's son?" A girl whispers loudly, Lloyd stiffening. "Oh my gosh I think it is, let's just get that birthday present for your brother later, he might curse us."

(Y/n) notices the aura of Lloyd sour. "Something the matter?" She asks, leaning against the glassed counter, staring down at Lloyd. "N-No, I'm just.." He didn't bother finishing his sentence and (Y/n) didn't bother asking again.

"Oh, new faces." A large man says, smiling at the two. "What would your names be?" He asked. "I'm Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon and this is (Y/n)." He replied halfheartedly. "Well nice to meet both of you, I'm Rufus MacAllister, but you two can call me Mother Doomsday."

Rufus picked both the comic and manga up, scanning them. "Ah, you're a Starfarer fan?" Lloyd shrugged. "Maybe, I don't know, I've never read a paper book before, or any kind of book." Rufus chuckled at the boy.

"You're one strange kid." He said, before instructing him how to read through it, and correcting him by calling it a comic. "Woah!" Lloyd gasped in amazement, grabbing the comic and running out the store. (Y/n) was about to follow but was stopped by the man. "I'd suggest you read your manga series when the kid isn't around, I'm not judging but read this in your own time." The girl nodded in confusion before catching up to Lloyd.

"Where to next?" She asked, walking beside him. "I don't know, do you have anyplace you'd like to see?" (Y/n) tilted her head, very confused. "We came here because you wanted to, not for me." That answer didn't sit right with Lloyd, it actually annoyed him.

"I told you, I'm not your master, so stop acting like I am." He hissed. "I am acting respectful towards you, and if you prefer not to control me then that is fine, but I will continue to protect you."

Lloyd stared up at her, then back down to the ground. "Can you call me Lloyd then?" "Of course." "Say it." (Y/n) sighed, patting the boy's head. "Lloyd." The moment she said his name he couldn't help but blush. It sounded so nice coming from her, it made him feel better.

"Now, is there anyplace you would like to go?" He shook his head, pulling his hood to cover a bit of his face. "W-We can go back to the bounty now." He stuttered, extremely flustered. "Alright, Lloyd." They got out of the city before getting on (Y/n) dragon. Lloyd still was in awe, petting it to keep checking if it were real.

"It may take a bit before we find the flying ship, the would not bother you, would it?" Lloyd leaned back into (Y/n), snuggling up to her. "It doesn't bother me, I kinda like flying with you like this." It was quiet for a while, before (Y/n) started to notice the sour aura again. "Lloyd?"

The boy was in deep thought, wondering what (Y/n) really thought of him. She never really put in her opinion into whatever he did. Was she afraid of him too? "(Y/n), what do you think of me?" His heart was racing, he didn't think he'd be this scared for an answer.

"What do I think?" Mission. He was a mission, nothing more. But she could tell he wouldn't like that answer. "Do you think I would betray you, why are you asking?" Lloyd shook his head. "I just.. wanna know."

Looking at Lloyd again, what does she think of him. Even before knowing his appearance, age, gender, she didn't want to have an opinion on him, but everytime her lord spoke of him, she felt..

"I suppose you remind me of myself, we both are similar in background." "Really?" Lloyd smiled. "My mother abandon me at a young age because of my power." And just like that his smile disappeared.

Who would abandon (Y/n), she was really pretty and strong. In Lloyd's case he was loud and annoying, not to mention the son of a dark lord. "What about your dad?" Lloyd felt her body stiffen. "Um, y-you don't have to talk about it, I just wanna have more things in common." "Your father is nothing like mine." She hissed. "Your father is much better."

Her father loved neither her or her mother, he only used her and left. "So much better." She whispered in envy. "Listen, it is not my place to shift your thinking but please know my lord never abandoned you, he was only banished and unable to reach you."

Lloyd sighed, looking ahead to see the bounty. "Hey look, we found it!" Being above the ship, the dragon disappears, (Y/n) landing on her feet and Lloyd on his face.  "Are you alright?" She asked, looking around the ship. "I'm okay, maybe a warning next time." She nodded.

"Do you think they noticed we left?" Lloyd whispered. She only shrugged, whether they noticed or not she didn't care. "It is not as if they can tell you what to do, you are not under their protection, you are only taking shelter here." Lloyd smiled, grabbing onto the girl's hand. "Yeah, you're right, no one tells Lloyd what to do."

They both heard a loud thud, turning to see Kai on the floor. "Wh-when did the walls learn to fight back..?" He asked, getting a confused look from Lloyd. "I am assuming he was hit with Venomari spit." She said. "The effects are hallucinations if it gets in your eyes." "Oh.. what's that mean?" Kai got up from the floor, putting his arms straight out as if he's learning to walk.

"He is seeing things." "ACK! Green gnome!" Kai yelled in fear, backing away." Lloyd laughed, holding onto his stomach. "He called you a gnome." (Y/n) didn't correct him by saying Kai was talking about him, too much of a bother, and she didn't want to deal with his crying again.

"Don't worry I'll protect you." Kai cooed, clingying onto her leg. "Hey! Don't touch her, let go!" Lloyd hissed, trying to push Kai off. Another long day,  and (Y/n) was very annoyed about it.
