"Are you sure you're okay?" Nya asked, placing a hand on her friend's cheek. "Yes, now quit asking, I rather not discuss last night's events." She stated, smacking away her ally's hand. "(Y/n)..." "It was just a small tantrum I had, it shouldn't happen again, so stop asking about it." She huffed, the blush on her cheeks worsening.

Nya frowned, forcing her freind to look at her. "(Y/n), don't you dare ever call what just happened yesterday a tantrum." She scolded, (Y/n) still avoiding her eyes. "We're allies, allies show no weakness." Nya's eyes softened at that sentence. "We're friends, friends can feel vulnerable and feel safe with eachother."

(Y/n) placed a hand over Nya's, letting out a sigh. "You don't need to start with the heavy stuff of whatever trauma you're going through, but I want you to know that I'm here." The girl in red smiled, kissing her forehead as a way to show she was genuine. "I just..." She couldn't finish whatever she wanted to say, which was totally fine for Nya.

"Okay, how about this then." Nya got up from the bed they sat on, pulling out her phone. "We'll set up some boundaries, things I should and shouldn't do, just so I won't trigger anything." She smiled encouragingly, waiting for her friend to say anything.

"You first, if you want me to be vulnerable, then show me your weaknesses." Was all she said. "Oh, well, um, I guess.." Nya stuttered for a bit, stratching the back of her head. "You're sort of the first girl friend I've had." The girl suddenly blush, quickly defending what she said. "A-And as girl friend, I mean like a friend that is a girl, n-not a girlfriend like lovers or anything."

(Y/n) continued to listen, confused on why she needed to elaborate what girlfriend meant, but still she listened. "A-Anyway--ahem-- Kai always sort of took any friends I had, turning them into one of his girlfriends." "Which type of girlfriend?" (Y/n) questioned. "The lover type." Nya answered, rolling her eyes. "It always got annoying hearing them talk about how cool my brother was, how attractive, it's gross." She complained, laying on her back.

"Don't get me wrong, he's my brother, of course I still care about him, but I hate being in his shadow." Nya tilted her head to look at (Y/n), seeing her look back with so much attention. "Kai got to know our parents, he was always popular in school, and me, I have to do so much to not be labeled as his annoying little sister."

"Well, I never seen you much of a shadow, you shine too bright to be one." (Y/n) complimented her, getting the girl to blush. "Okay, now that I've shown you that you can trust me a bit more, are you willing to tell me what to not say or do to not offend or trigger you?" She asked. "Or even anything in general that you want to tell me." When (Y/n) finally nodded.

"I... I hate the way you all disrespect my Lord, maybe you could not insult him, or at the very least when I am around?" Nya nodded. "Only if you do the same for Sensei Wu." She giggled at the way her whole face twisted in a pout, she found it cute. "I guess that would be fair." She muttered, not that happy on the agreement.

"Anything that you want me to keep a secret, I am willing to keep silent, but if it gets in the way of my Lord or anything he is trying to accomplish, I won't stay quiet." That was a hint, telling her that she shouldn't share anything that has to do with defeating Garmadon. "Okay, anything else?"

The girl fidgeted a bit, hesitant to say her last statement. "(Y/n) don't worry, I won't judge, we're friends, remember, but if you're not ready that's fine too." She let out a heavy sigh, still feeling a bit anxious. "I am not that fond of fire." She started. "You have pyrophobia?" Nya questioned, in slight surprise. "Well, I can look at a small bonfire and not throw a tantrum like yesterday--" "What did I just talk to you about?" Nya asked, crossing her arms.

She only rolled her eyes, giving a small smile. "It's just being surrounded by it makes me feel extremely guilty, I hear voices, they yell at me, mock me, it hurts." Her face twisted in discomfort. "I just--It... It hurts having to remember that day." Nya looked at her friend, rubbing her back as reassurance. "I was five, sure the villagers there tormented me, but they never deserved death."

Her heart began beating harshly against her chest, not sure if she wanted to continue with what she's about to share. "(Y/n)?" "I have no memory of my father, I only know he left my mother heartbroken, and he only wanted me to have his curse of a power." She hissed, looking at the palms of her hands, watching as they shook violently. Nya took in one of her hands, calming her down.

"It is a bit funny when you think of it, my mother abandoned me in that village, and the day they broke me, the day I burned it all to the ground, she decided to come back and retrieve me." Nya felt her hand tighten against hers, and she squeezed just as hard. "She was burning alive-- She was burning and I couldn't stop it-- My powers were so unstable."

She began to shake again, lips trembling as she tried desperately to keep the tears from falling. "She begged me to forgive her, to stop the burning, and yet I couldn't, I had to end her suffering on my own." Nya let go of her hand, wrapping her arms around the girl. "All I did was laugh, I laughed hearing their cries, I laughed at the thought that I stole a whole generation away from a future, I laughed knowing how much of a monster I really am." She said, her voice shaking, as a few tears fall.

(Y/n) went closer into the girl's body, wanting to feel better. "Nya?" The Samurai hummed in acknowledgment, letting her know she was listening. "Keep your brother away from me." She said, pushing herself to look her friend in the eyes, and for a moment, Nya saw that same fear from yesterday. "Please."

___

"She was begging--crying and you really think she's okay?!" Cole hissed at the Dark Lord, each response getting him more angered than the last. "Of course she is, when she throws her little tantrums it doesn't take long for her to go back to normal." Jay placed himself inbetween Garmadon and Cole, attempting to stop a gruesome fight. "Hey, how about helping ma with her cooking Cole, heard she was having trouble." The earth ninja only pushed him out of the way.

"Tantrum? TANTRUM!!" Cole was livid with rage. "She had a full out panic attack, and you called them tantrums-- is that how she sees them, as tantrums?" Garmadon grinned, finding his rage a bit entertaining. "Why ask me that, I don't know what that child is thinking when she does certain things." Cole threw a punch, but was caught in one of Garmadon's hand. "Don't start something you can't finish, boy." He teased, thriving in the anger Cole has.

Cole snatched his hand back, glaring at the man. Once Lloyd made his way onto the upper deck, Cole backed off, not wanting the young boy to see the bickering. "Dad!" Lloyd ran to Garmadon, jumping into his arms. "Lloyd, you're up early." "(Y/n) is usually up at this time, so I'm up!" Lloyd chirped, looking around. "Where is (Y/n)?"

"Here." She called, Lloyd jumping from his father's arms and clingying to the girl. "I missed you! No one would let me see you yesterday." He pouted, looking up at her with sad eyes. "A lot happened yesterday, and I was not in a very... great condition, but everything is alright, it won't happen again."

"You sure you're okay?" Cole questioned. "Its just, a lot happened yesterday with Lloyd, the fangblades, you and Kai being stuck in the volcano." Lloyd waves him away, pressing against (Y/n) more. "You had her all day yesterday, now its my turn." He complained.

(Y/n) lifted the boy up into her arms, watching as he stuck his tongue out at the earth ninja. "What happened yesterday means nothing, it's like what your master says, the past is in the past." She said, avoiding the conversation Cole is trying to start.

"That isn't what--that's not how you use that phrase." Cole corrected. (Y/n) pressed Lloyd against her chest, muffling his hearing as she placed a hand on his other ear. "It doesn't matter whether I used it correctly or not, it is really obvious that I prefer not to talk about it, so stop it." She hissed. Cole's shoulders fell. "Besides." She started, glaring at the ground. "Your master only uses that phrase for convenience, the past is in the past, but what happens when the past twists into your future."

She looked at Cole, seeing him at a loss for words. Uncovering Lloyd's ears, the young boy looks between the two, before sticking his tongue out to Cole. "(Y/n)! Can we go to Mega Monster Amusement Park!" (Y/n) cringed a bit. "You only got back, how about resting a bit more, it must have been tiring being with the Serpentine..." She trailed off, trying to find a way to change the subject.

"I'm not tired though, plus the Serpentine didn't do anything to me." Lloyd whined, pulling a sad face to guilt trip the girl. "How about visiting the comic store, I'm sure your male friend would like to see you." She offered, letting a sigh of relief when he agreed.

No one had time to tell her no, as she already jumped off the flying ship and summoned her dragon. "Awe, I wanted to go too." Nya pouted.

___

"Oh it's the two of you again." The man said in recognition. The girl was a bit confused on how he recognized her, only to realize she didn't hide her face, or have anything to hide her face. "Mother Doomsday!" Lloyd yelled in excitement. "I liked the comic it was so cool, there was explosions and cool tricks and backflips and ships." While explaining what the comic was about, Lloyd was jumping around, trying to copy the moves of his character. "Would you like the second issue of it?" The man chuckled, as Lloyd turned around with stars in his eyes. "There's more than one?!"

(Y/n) looked away from the man, feeling a bit embarrassed. She hoped he didn't remember her, but he did. "How did you like your manga?" He was teasing her, mocking her, at that moment, she wanted to die.

"I didn't... didn't know it was that type of book." She muttered. "(Y/n), why is your face red?" Wow, did she wish she had her mask with her. The man only laughed, causing Lloyd to become more confused. "Well, that'll be three ninety-nine." "Oh, we didn't bring any money..." Lloyd trailed off, hiding behind his comic. "Hm, well, take it anyway then, just promise to pay back next time you come." The boy smiled, nodding fast as he ran out the door.

The two went to a nearby pizza place, Lloyd quickly reading the issue. "Man, this is even better!" (Y/n) only smiled, before looking off into the distance.

Pythor has three of the fangblades, no doubt he's on his way for the last. "Lloyd?" The boy only hummed, not looking up at her. "The second fangblade, how far away was it from Ninjago?" She asked. "Um, I don't know, I think about four days? Three? but it wasn't there."

Judging from that, the last one should be further from here. "How far would it be?" She questioned, letting out a sigh. "I'm done!" Lloyd yelled, getting the girl's attention. "Ready to head back?" The boy shook his head, jumping off the chair and walking away, (Y/n) followed.

"Here, hold this." Lloyd said, giving the girl his comic. (Y/n) looked at the comic for a bit, then looked down at Lloyd. "Your mood changed." She stated, looking away from him. "I can't hide anything from you can I?" Lloyd sighed, continuing to walk. "It's just my dad."

(Y/n) tilted her head. "Did you want me to bring him along, all you had to do was ask, I would have--" "No, I just.. I don't know how to feel about my dad, I mean I haven't seen him in like thirty years." Lloyd said, pulling his hands out in exaggeration. "Lord Garmadon was banished, he really does care about you, he was just trapped in the underworld." (Y/n) quickly defended.

"So then what's my mom's excuse?" (Y/n) didn't really know what to say. In all honesty she never really cared for her Lord's wife. Never wants to meet her, wants nothing to do with her, never wants to be anywhere near her. But she couldn't say that to the boy. "A lot of mother's leave there children for different reasons, I'm sure she left for something important."

Lloyd's mood was slightly lifted, hugging the girl's leg. "Whatever the reason, I'm glad I have you." "Should we head back now?" He said nothing, only nodded. (Y/n) was about to lead them into an alley way to summon her dragon, but paused when she saw a serpent. "Lloyd, I have to do something, stay here." "Okay." Lloyd said, looking at her suspiciously.

Leaving Lloyd alone was a bad choice on her part, but she couldn't have him around while she got information.

Just as she thought, there was a venomari serpent. Before he could enter the sewers, she had thrown a nearby pole at the snake, sticking him into the wall by his shirt. The snake grunted in pain, before fear set in. "Did I scare you?" She asked, watching the serpent shake. "That was not the intention, but I do hope you are willing to cooperate with me."

The snake nodded. "Where is Pythor currently?" "He isss retrieving the fourth fangblade." She knew that already, she needed to know where. "Alright, do you have any idea when he would be back?" The serpent hesitants to shake his head.

She taps her foot, trying to think of a way that can benefit her situation. If the Great Devourer were to be unleashed it would ruin her Lord's plan. Pythor is cocky, but not reckless. "Where is your hideout?" That caused the snake to freeze, which in turn, made (Y/n) smile. "Pythor wouldn't have all the fangblades on him, so they should with someone he trusts." Which would be Skales. The snake would have mentioned Skales or the other generals going with him, but he didn't.

(Y/n) got a bit impatience with his silence. "You realize the Great Devourer will not stop devourering, it is in the name, so when it is unleashed, you'll get dragged down with us." That got him talking. "Wait! Please, you have to sstop him! That snake is crazy, I'm a sssnake, not food!" He shouted in a panic. "Either tell me your hideout, or where Pythor is traveling."

"It wouldn't be worth traveling to get the flangblade." The venomari stated, trembling. "We travel underground, we're snakess, that's what we do." (Y/n) hummed. It was obvious, but that thought slipped her mind. She pet the snake, taking the pole off. "Though, I do have a bit of a trusting problem, how do I know you won't blab."

Trusting a snake wasn't the problem, at least for her it wasn't. The problem was not knowing if this specific snake could keep his mouth shut. "I won't tell promisse, pleasse just help." The begging was annoying. "Actually, Skales may be alright to tell." That hypnobrai kept his deal of not hurting Lloyd, maybe telling him of the Devourer would cause him to help her. "Tell Skales about the Devourer, and to expect my arrive, maybe the ninja as well." The Venomari nodded, before quickly leaving.

(Y/n) went back over to Lloyd, checking over his body to make sure no new scratches were formed. "What did you need to do?" He asked, pulling his arm away. "Interrogation." She said, standing back up. "If there is nothing else, we should leave, your father may be getting worried by now." Lloyd nodded, waiting for the voilet dragon to appear again.

___

"I was so bored, take me with you next time!" Nya complained, shaking the girl by the shoulders. "Sorry." (Y/n) said, grabbing her arms to stop the shaking. "Next time I will ask if you want to join." Nya smiled.

Lloyd ran over to his dad, hugging him tightly. "I just learned my favorite comic has a second part to it!" He told him, getting giddy. "Oh, is that so?" Garmadon asked, smiling down at his son. "Yeah!"

Nya pulled (Y/n) closer. "So, Kai's been asking about you." She said, her face semi serious semi mischievous. (Y/n) paused for a bit, before tilting her head. "Who?" "What? What do you mean who, Kai, my brother." "Oh." (Y/n) said, nodding a bit. "You've been here for like a month, and you don't know his name, we talked about him this morning!" She exclaimed.

"His name isn't that important to remember, if he wants to be called something different all he needs to do is say so." She said, patting Nya's arm. "Fire ninja, red ninja, master of fire, that's what he's associated with, that's all I need to remember."

"Fair point, but what if I tell you to call him Kai?" "Still not enough for me to care for his name." (Y/n) says, shrugging. "What did he want anyway?" Nya  looked away for a bit. "Dunno, he was just asking about you." It was a little troubling but she didn't voice her thoughts.

"Well, if the fire ninja needs anything, just make him tell you so you can tell me." (Y/n) suggested, walking over to her lord. She bowed down, still feeling nervous to be anywhere near him. "I have information concerning the Serpentine."

"Lloyd, go see if the other ninja would want to read your comic." "Awe, but I still wanna hang with (Y/n)." Garmadon stared down at the boy making him gulp. "I mean, sure dad, I guess I could show them, bye (Y/n)!" And he's gone.

Garmadon pressed a hand against her back, leading her into the hallway of the ship. "Speak." "Pythor is on his way to collect the fourth blade, if we were to go after him now it would be too risky." She stated, moving her hands as she speaks. "Pythor would also not risk having all the blades carried on him, which means they would be back at their base." "Where is it?" "Underground."

They both stopped their walk, causing the girl's heart to beat faster. Garmadon's lower arms were placed on her shoulders while his upper pair creased her cheeks. "Well done, child." He cooed, (Y/n) blushing from the sudden praise. "I've seem to have overworked you while I was here." "I-It's alright, overwork me as much as you need to, no matter what, you will always have my loyalty." She quickly added, not wanting the Lord to feel any guilt.

He hummed, patting her head. "Rest up,  I need you well energized." As soon as she nodded, her body hit the ground. She was quickly knocked into sleep, snoring a bit. Garmadon let out an annoyed sigh before picking her up and heading to her room.
