Part Eight

"I... I think I might need to sit down for a while," Syrah gasped, collapsing to the ground.

Snow immediately rushed over, unaffected by the manifestation of her previous selves such a short time ago. It had happened a lot more in the early days of the AU, before her dual souls and magical cores could learn to coexist.

"Thank you... Lady Destiny," murmured Error, staring up at the beautiful blue sky. The sun shone down, sparkling on the snow-covered trees and making the clusters of white flowers- star lilies- scattered around on the ground seem to glow with an inner light.

"I'm going to take Syrah home," said Snow, wrapping her arms around her sister. "She's not used to the exhaustion that happens after sleeping soul parts reawaken. She needs to rest."

Blue nodded understandingly. "Give us your phone number before you leave though, please. Just in case."

"Wait, I didn't do that earlier?" Snow exclaimed. "Shoot! I can't believe I forgot."

Blue handed the slightly taller skeleton his phone; and she entered herself into his contacts. "Just add the same thing to Stretch and Error's phones. Text me later, then I'll have yours too."

Blue nodded, reclaiming his phone, and Snow's phone buzzed, causing her to mutter, "Schist. I forgot about the camera."

"Camera?" Error asked curiously.

"Yeah, the one over there. It broke, again."

"Again...?"

"Every couple of resets it breaks. I keep having to fix it for Lune and it's really annoying," sighed Snow exasperatedly.

"Huh," muttered Error. He opened a window to try and look at the codes, as they often had answers to why things such as that occurred, but found himself unable to see anything beyond the absolute minimum. He couldn't even tell what run the AU was currently in! The dark-boned skeleton swore quietly, and Blue, who was close enough to hear, snorted.

'Nice, Error. So mature! I'm sure that gutting that firewall with a tailor's needle would do so much good, haha!'

Error rolled his eyelights, before realizing that one of the voices seemed to have returned. 'Wait... weren't you guys supposed to be gone?'

'Yup! Don't worry though, I'm not one of those voices! I'm only here because whatever spell that they cast dragged me out of wherever I was sleeping!'

'Wait... does that mean you're a part of me that was sleeping?'

'Well, obviously! Oh, it's a pity ____ isn't here, he would have so enjoyed this... I really do wonder what happened to him...'

'Who?'

'____, of course! No, wait, you wouldn't remember him. And I can't tell you unless you remember on your own... all because of Fate, that stars-forsaken darning mushroom. Now, I'm going back to sleep.'

Error snorted, and the others looked at him oddly, although Blue just gave him a look, one meaning something along the lines of 'You're telling me about that later.'

Snow disappeared with her sister, and Blue gave Error 'the look' again. Error shivered- Blue could be very scary, when he wanted to be. Luckily, the smaller skeleton didn't often feel the need to induce fear.

"So, Error... what was so funny?" Blue asked.

"Turns out that the spell they used woke something sleeping in me, too," said Error. "A younger version of myself, from before the Anti-Void. He went back to sleep, but he was very sassy and highly amusing."

"Cool, you can explain that more later. Do you still feel the pull that was telling you to come over here?"

"Nope. It's gone for now," Before he could continue, both of their phones buzzed loudly.

"My bro's worried about us. Wanna tell him what we've been up to?" Blue asked his partner-in-crime, smiling mischievously.

"Why not," replied Error, an equally mischievous smile appearing on his own face. "Let's see what he thinks."

Blue nodded and started typing, and Error soon followed suit.

After a lot of chaotic explanations, Stretch was very confused, and rather alarmed. Blue was cackling, and Error was just watching the chaos unfold.

| Stretch: WHAT?!
| Error: it was his idea.
| Blue: 😂😂😂
| Error: Blue: *maniacal laughter*
| Error: he's having way too much fun.
| Stretch: i dont think i want to know
| Stretch: you can explain it to me later

"You get to explain it, berry. I was distracted or crashed for a decent chunk of that, so you're in charge of it!" Error crowed, pleased that he could get out of explaining. "I'm still trying to process the memories, to be honest."

"Fate... why? I thought you were kind, just wanted me to be happy... but all you wanted was entertainment, and as soon as I got boring, you threw me away... I suppose I should've expected that, heh. I've always been too kind for my own good, haven't I... right, Thread?"
