3.4) Shopping!
Dream's POV
Dream, Lust, Red, and Horror came out of their portal on the sidewalk of the capital in Songtale. Nightmare had refused to come with them to shop, saying that someone had to check up on the Dreamscape. Dream suspected that he just didn't want to go shopping.
Red, Lust, and Horror looked around at Songtale in awe. Dream wasn't surprised, his reaction had been very similar to that when he had first visited. Songtale was a surface AU after all, and it was a beautiful one. The skyscrapers and glowing lights tended to draw attention, and the many humans and monsters scurrying about were wearing bright colors and patterns. The music floating through the air was also absolutely stunning, and Dream could hear the faintest chords of his own theme.
Dream could see the AU's Judge, Song, making her way over to them. She was a Sans of average height with blue eyelights, one of which was normal, the other was shaped like a music note. She was wearing a blue skirt patterned with music notes, and a simple black jacket over a white top. She was also wearing slippers, plain black ones.
"Hello! Welcome to Songtale, I'm Song, the Judge here! I can tell that you're from another AU, so let me tell you something- I have never and will not get involved with your war, not until the end of the Multiverse is imminent. There will be no fighting here, for this is a place outside of your petty disputes. We are a permanent pacifist timeline. So behave yourselves," said Song.
"Yes, we'll behave ourselves. Don't worry about it. If Ink comes after us, we'll take it elsewhere. We don't want to disturb the peace here if we can avoid it," said Dream politely.
"Thank you. I appreciate you doing that, Dream. Ink never had the courtesy to do that when he came after Error here. It was always such a bother to clean up after. Then, around 50-ish resets ago, Error just stopped coming," said Song, sadness evident in her voice as she talked about Error's disappearance. "I really do miss him, he was never destructive or 'evil' while he was here. He just came to buy sewing supplies, like needles and buttons, as well as medical items. I hope that he's okay, wherever he is now."
"As far as I know, he is. I can't be sure though, as he doesn't sleep so we can't contact him in his dreams."
"Thank you. Hey, do you think you could give this to him when you find him? It came in for him a while back and I've had it laying around ever since. I think it's important, so make sure he gets it," said Song, pulling a square wooden crate out of her dimensional box. The crate's sides seemed to be around a foot long, and it looked to be around six inches tall. It seemed to be quite light, as Song was handling it with ease.
"Of course. I'm guessing that we can't know what's inside?"
"Not even I know what's inside the box. All I know is that it's got some really powerful magic, comparable to Ink's 'Broomie'. Why would Ink come after you, though, Dream? I thought you were friends. Oh, and follow me, all of you. I'll take you to the mall."
As they walked over to the large glass and steel building that housed the many stores that made up the mall, Dream began to explain what had happened with Ink.
"Okay, Song. I can't tell you the entire story, but basically, I switched sides because Ink was refusing to listen to reason, and my brother needed me more than he did. He also put one of his own best friends in the line of fire. That's the basic rundown. Now, if we can't stop Ink's creation, the entire Multiverse might fall. It's a bit of a problem, tibia honest."
"You don't say... It seems like I may have to take a side soon, although I still refuse to fight. Ink is no longer welcome here, that is for sure. If he was stupid enough to attack his own friends, than he shouldn't be allowed into a pacifist AU where fighting is so rare and most people live by the rule of 'Everyone can be a good person, if they just try'."

750 words.
Thought I might release this semi-completed chapter for the sake of it.
Have fun.
