I finally got around to mapping out Startale. Or at least a very basic map, it leaves a lot up to you to decide.

So. I decided a lot of things I'd been unsure about before while making this map.

Startale is located on a very large island. The Starlit Isles are a rather small group of little islands just off the edge.

The volcano is of the shield variety, so it is highly unlikely to erupt in a dangerous way, instead, it oozes out the lava which makes up Hotland!

Human mages actually weren't the only ones to take part in the creation of the barrier. The monster King at the time knew that if he didn't go along with the creation of the barrier, it was likely that all of his subjects would be killed, so he, along with several other powerful monsters, assisted in the creation of the barrier, putting in several fail-safes and protective enchantments. One of those was that human children could come through the barrier. That made it certain that they would someday be free.

Stars are mostly major character's residences, I was lazy and didn't want to put everything on there.

Light purple is the Ruins, the star is Quill's Home, which used to be Toriel's.

Light blue is Snowdin Forest - the star there is Snowdin.

Green are the Starlit Isles, the star on the larger island is the house Fresh gave to our lovely trio of main characters, while the smaller is the Voidpool.

Dark purple is Waterfall, of course.

Orange is Hotland, and the lovely volcano.

Pink is the Core.

Grey is New Home, and the star there is the "palace," or more accurately, the home of the King and Queen, as well as Azzy and Chara.

The star on the brown is Lune's Studio, and not far away from it- although I didn't mark it- is the Observatory (ST!True Lab).
