A/N: sorry I haven't update much. I am sick and not feeling well. But I'm not forgetting how important these stories are to y'all. Remembering as much as I can. Anyways I hope guys like this chapter.

The next day had finally came but the sky looked gloomy. It wasn't going to rain. Everyone knew that. The students of CHS went straight to their school ready for another day of work. Sadly, they were annoyed.
In the halls, Applejack was just explaining to her friends how the night with Sunset Shimmer was a disaster. But she remembered how she found a drawing of herself.
"Oh my heavens." Rarity said. "She is a jerk. Fighting you into your own home."
"Yep. But I guess it was kinda my fault cause I threw her backpack across the room." She said rubbing her neck.
"Well like last night, big meanie." Pinkie said.
"You seriously punched her though?" Rainbow asked. "Please tell me you did."
"I did but I get the feeling I shouldn't have done that."
"No. It's good you did. You basically showed that you are pretty tough and she has met her own match."
"That does explain her black eye I saw in the halls." Fluttershy said.
Rainbow seemed proud of Applejack. "Even better."
"So how did it go with you and Trixie?" Applejack asked wanting to change it for a moment.
"Oye. Trixie is the most annoying and rudest person ever. Last night she kept saying we should write about a lame story of a girl name Trixie who is the most great and powerful."
"Oh please tell me you didn't start a fist fight too." Rarity said.
"Sadly no. I would have love to see Applejack and Sunset Shimmer's fight. It would be so awesome."
Applejack only smiled as her rainbow friend daydreamed about the fight. But then she noticed a red hair with yellow stripes come to her own locker getting some stuff. She only made a ace at Sunset's back wanting to just attack again. But she manage to control herself not to do it.
Once Sunset turned around, she revealed her black eye. Applejack gasped at how bruised it was. She didn't expect it to be that bad. She couldn't help but feel kinda bad this happen to Sunset.
Sunset Shimmer finally looked seeing Applejack stared at her. She had no emotion on her face. She just stared at the country girl. Then she left without saying a word.
"Whoa. I didn't think her eye was that bad." Applejack said.
"Uh huh." Fluttershy said. "You definitely know how to give a punch to someone."
"True."
"Now let's go!" Pinkie said. "I don't wanna be late for cooking class! I wanna make my cupcakes!" Then she bounced off with a smile.
Everyone only giggled at her silly humor. "Only Pinkie Pie." Rarity said as the girls left into their next classes.

"Good thing I get a free bathroom pass." Applejack said to herself as she left from the bathroom.
It was school time and Applejack had ask her teacher if she can head into the restroom since she needed to go. She was lucky to have some passes left. Not like her classmates. They use up all theirs to go to the bathroom or to make an excuse to go to the bathroom when they're actually just hanging with their friends from other classrooms.
Applejack walked down the halls heading back to her class. On the way there, she started to think of Twilight Sparkle. Oh how she missed her friend so much. Twilight was one of the best and yet Sunset Shimmer had to ruin it by making that truth of her liking Flash Sentry. Now she's gone away from the embarrassment.
If only Sunset Shimmer wasn't real. Of only she was a bad dream that never a ends but will eventually. She was the rudest person to ever meet, especially in Applejack's eyes.
"Now miss Shimmer, we just need to know if we can help you in anyway."
Applejack stopped walking as she heard the voice and Sunset Shimmer's name being said. Apparently she was right next to principal Celestia's office, mostly facing the door.
What is Sunset doing in there? She knew she should just leave and go to class, but she's kinda curious if Sunset is in trouble or so. So she walked towards the door and listen as much as she could.
She heard principal Celestia's voice first. "Are you sure?"
"Yes ma'am." She heard Sunset say. "I promise you, I don't really need help."
"Well it shows on camera that you were taking food from your lunch. I see that you are putting the food in plastic bags and put them in your backpack. I've also seen you actually take a package of toilet paper from our school."
That was weird. Why would Sunset Shimmer be taking food from the school? Especially toilet paper? That makes no sense.
"Why would I do that?" Sunset said trying to lie.
"Because I just feel that I needed to ask if you need any help. We have a program for those who-"
"No disrespect ma'am," Sunset interrupted the principal. "but I can assure you that if I had problems, I ask about it. Not trying to be rude. Just telling you."
"Why would she...?" Applejack whispered to herself. She continue to listen.
"Very well. But we have this program and if you ever need help, you can come talk to me or give them a call. Okay?"
"Yes ma'am."
Applejack stopped listening to think. She didn't move away from the door though. What help could Sunset Shimmer possibly need? She knows she's a jerk but what kind of help? Mental help? She couldn't think of what she could possibly need help with.
But because she wasn't paying attention, her door open and Applejack fell backwards as the door hit her face. She heard a gasp as Applejack rubbed her forehead.
"Are you alright?"
She looked up and saw Sunset Shimmer actually have a worried look. She's never seen her look like that before.
Sunset's gasp as she saw who she hit and immediately had her mean move on. "Watch where you going you punk. You're lucky I'm not gonna hurt you for this black eye."
"I.... I...." She was speechless for the first time.
Applejack only studied as she walked away. She started to stand up and think for a moment. Sunset Shimmer actually looked scared for the first time. She actually sounded like a nice friend but she then went back to her mean level. That's weird.
But then she saw the time and immediately head back to class before the bell had rung.

Later that day....

She had finally arrived home and was exhausted from working a lot. But that's what she gets for going into school. She was just happy to be home. She knew today Granny Smith had to help out in the school with Big Mac and Applebloom was with her friends to the crusaders meeting. She was gonna be home alone.
"At least I'll get a little bit of peace." She said to herself. She grabbed her keys and was gonna unlock her house but she realized something.
The door was already open. It wasn't locked.
She began to have her guard up. Someone was in her house. She open the door slowly but saw no one was in the living room. She put her backpack down and hanged her keys stepping in quietly and slowly.
She immediately grabbed the bat that was against the wall near the stairs. That was her only weapon at the moment.
She looked into the kitchen to see if anyone was there. Nothing still.
THUD THUD THUD
She looked up at the ceiling. Seems someone was upstairs instead. She walked towards the stairs and slowly tip toe each step she told on the stairs. They made creaking noises but that's cause the house was made of wood. She finally made up the stairs but saw all the rooms were closed by their doors. All except her's.
She walked slowly towards the door and tried to listen if there was someone in there.
There was a chuckle.
She then took a deep breath. She's gotta get the person out of her house for safety.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!" She screamed as she ran into the room and raise the bat to attack.
"Aaaahhh!!" The person fell to the ground in fright.
Applejack then studied that this person was no harm. It was only Sunset Shimmer. She put the bat down and breathed a moment. "Sunset, what are you doing here?"
"Um that silly project." She said trying to get up. "Instead I'm receiving a bat wanting to hit me. Fantastic."
"Ha ha. How did you get in my house?"
"Well you Granny Smith was leaving the moment I got there and she was nice enough to let me inside."
Applejack looked down at her table and noticed one of her picture were facing down. "Were you looking at my pictures?"
"..... Maybe." She walked away to sit onto Applejack's bed.
She then fix the picture to where it's standing up instead. It was a picture of her mom and pa before they died. Looking at the picture made Applejack feel worse.
"Those your parents?" Sunset asked.
She turned around and sat on the bed with her too. "Yeah. That was them before they died."
"What happen?"
Now Applejack was setting to get confuse with Sunset. "Since when do you care?"
"I don't. I'm just curious." She said.
"They kinda died in a fire back in Appleloosa when Applebloom was born. It's a long story and I don't wanna go into details."
Sunset nodded understanding.
"By the way," she then reached in her pocket to grab something. It was hard cause it was big and Applejack is wearing jeans, but she was able to grab the folded piece of paper out of her. "You left this." She showed the drawing in front of her.
Sunset gasped and immediately grabbed it putting it in her backpack. "Did you snoop through my backpack or something?" She said sounding mad.
"No. I think the other day when I threw your backpack across the room it came flying out."
Sunset hid her face and tried not to get angry again.
"I'm surprise miss Cheerilee was right."
"About what?" She said getting concern.
"You are an artist."
"No I'm not. I just doodle for no reason."
"Yeah but I won't lie, it's not that bad. It's actually pretty good if you ask me." She winked trying to be as nice as she can.
Sunset Shimmer only looked down at her hands and said "I'm not really good at saying thank you."
"No wonder."
It was a long awkward silence and the two girls didn't really do much. Luckily Applejack broke it. "Sooo, I started writing our first chapter, and I wanted you to read it to see what you think."
"Why?"
"Because this our project. We need at least opinions about each other's work."
"Fine." Sunset grabbed the paper from Applejack and started to read.
Applejack sat there watching her, waiting for her opinion. Already was it feeling like she was taking hours to read but she was almost done reading the whole first chapter.
Applejack was surprise Sunset Shimmer hasn't made an insult or said anything mean yet. That incident with the office door opening was awkward but this takes the prize of awkward moments.
Sunset finally looks up and said "Not bad. I guess I kinda like that the first chapter involved the two girls hating each other when they were kids. And those were some pretty good burns."
Well at least Sunset actually liked the chapter.
Applejack looked down at her backpack and noticed a binder that was full of some kind of drawing. She couldn't really tell. She reached in to get it. "What is-"
But then Sunset's hand grabbed her wrists making her stop. She had a tight grip. She pulled Applejack's hand away from her backpack and started digging through it. "It's nothing."
"It didn't look like nothing. It actually looked as if you had some drawings in there."
"I do but I would like it if you didn't bother looking at them."
"Why not?"
"Because I said so! Okay?!"
Applejack had a shock look on her face as Sunset yelled at her. Dang she was temper headed. She didn't bother to tell back cause he felt it wasn't right.
Sunset took a deep breath and looked away. "I just said no. Okay?"
Applejack nodded agreeing and just looked down at her lap. This now was definitely awkward. She only looked everywhere in her own room but tried not to look at Sunset.
"So um," she said. "I was wondering, sugarcube, if it's okay you can draw something in the first chapter when you can?"
".... Yeah. I'll do it soon." She finally spoke. "What time is it?"
Applejack looked back at the window seeing the sunsetting "Judging by the sun, I say it's seven o'clock."
Sunset now looked worried again. "What? Already? I gotta go." She then grabbed her backpack and headed out the door.
Applejack followed her to outside and said "Sunset wait! Let me drive ya home."
Sunset looked back surprise. "No no. It's fine. I can walk."
"Sunset, with the sun getting this late it means those nasty dogs will be out to get you."
"Well that's what I get for not thinking ahead of what time it is."
"Sunset please. I know we don't get along but let me do this one thing. Please."
Sunset didn't continue walking. She only stood there looking out at the world. Then she finally turned around and said "Fine."
Applejack kinda smile how she finally was able to do something nice for her. Even if she hated her. They headed into Applejack's big red truck and drove off.
Each direction Sunset told Applejack to go to was a bit weird. It was barley close to their high school. Kinda too far. As they drove off, it was silence as it was a short trip.
"Why do you live far from the school?" Applejack asked.
"I just do okay?" She said.
She then nodded and after a few minutes have pass, they finally made to her home. It was actually apartment. One of those old kind. It looked kinda dangerous to Applejack. The wall were cracked a little and pieces of the wall were torn. Windows were broken and the door looked as if it was gonna break one day.
"You sure this is it?" She asked making sure.
"Yeah. Bye." Sunset immediately got out of the car. Then she walked into her house without waving or thanking Applejack.
Then again, she did say she wasn't good at saying thank you. Applejack only sighed a little worried. Is this the kind of help she needs?
She then decided to drive off home to try an do some of chapter two.

A/N: I know this might have been a boring chapter but like I said. I'm sick and can't think straight. But at least I updated. I hope you guys liked it.
