I sat on the ground. It was a cool autumn night, and I was trying to enjoy Autumn while it was still here.

I mean, Don't get me wrong, I love winter too. But I was never fond of the cold.

A hand on my shoulder jerked me out of my thoughts. I looked up to see and Teen boy- he was... At Least.. A year older than me. He had wild red hair, and freckles were splattered across his face. He had Brilliant blue eyes, and they were gazing down at me.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing out in the Dangers of night?" He asked, Smiling. His teeth were as bright and white as the clouds.

"I'm just... Looking around, I guess." I said, Smiling back at him. He sat beside me, Placing a black guitar case next to him.

"Do you play?" I asked, waving my hand toward his Case.

"Yea, I learned a few years ago." I nodded, interested.
"How about you?" He added. "Do you play any instruments?"

"No... I sing, though...But honestly, I've always wanted to play acoustic."

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Tell me yours first." I said.

"Echo. Echo Erideum Cane."

"I'm Ashley. Ashley Limeos Wilson."

"Beautiful name." He complimented. I pushed my blond hair out of my face, and tucked it behind my ear.

A colder breeze swept over us and I shivered. Echo must have noticed because he took off a Green jacket he had been wearing and placed it on my shoulders.

For some reason I felt safe and protected... It was.. Unusual. Before I came to sit here in this spot, I felt as if the entire world would get to me... But now... It's different.

"Want me to walk you home?" He asked suddenly. YES! I thought.

"Yea, sure." I said. He stood up and offered his hand.

I took it, and he pulled me up. Then He started walking with me.

"So, What's your favorite color?" He asked me, curiously.

"Navy Green."

"Favorite... Holiday?"

"Halloween."

"Favorite Food?"

"Pancakes."

"Wait, really?" He asked.

"Yea." I replied, looking at him.

"Me too! I love pancakes and Navy green. As you can see-" he gave a gesture with his hand to his clothes, which were all (Navy) green.

"Awesome." I said, impressed.

"When's your birthday?"

"February fourth. You?"

"July ninth."

We soon arrived at my house. Before I opened the door and stepped inside, he called to me.

"Wait, here." He took a pen from behind his ear and took my hand. He began scribbling something down.
"Writing down my number."

Oh, that explains it. I quickly gave him mine, then I went inside. I ran up the stairs, skipping two at a time, collapsed in my bed, and fell asleep.

"Good morning, sunshine.' My phone beeped, and A new contact appeared I checked the number on my hand and on my phone. It was echo.

"Good morning to you too, Echo."

"So you know Tis' me?'

"Mhm.''

'Hey, I have one more question.' Echo texted me.

'And that is?' I asked him.

'What are your favorite letters in the alphabet?'

'G, Q, L. Hbu?'

'U R A Q T.'

'Wait, did you just flirt with me over text?'

'Maybe'

I laughed a little. Wait, wait, wait! I JUST MET HIM! Why was I so into him? It's not normal.... Right? True love, they called it. If you fall in love with someone right away... True love .

I heard a light knock on my door.

"Ashy, are you up?" It was my sister, Dani.

"Yea!" I called.

"Okay, be downstairs in a few minutes for breakfast, and after that we're supposed to meet up with some friends." She told me. I opened my Dresser, pulling out a Black plaid shirt and some Blue jeans. I quickly got dressed and went downstairs, petting my cat Shadowscar half way.

I had gotten Shadowscar from my cousin, Moony. She lives in Maine, And recently her little sister passed away.

I sat at the table, and Dani set down a Plate with some pancakes on them.

"Thanks, Dani." I said, beginning to eat.

"Welcome!" She said, giving a little solute. We ate in silence, except for the pattern of forks hitting the plate.

When I was finished, I put my plate in the sink. I grabbed my Green Converse' and put them on, Grabbed my bookbag, and headed out the door with Dani. (I carry my bookbag around for emergencies. Extra hoodie, some bandages, extra money, etc, etc.) I climbed in the passenger seat. I looked out the window as she drove.

I noticed that trees were losing leaves, and flowers were becoming crippled. It was the third of October, and Autumn was already giving its beautiful Nature to winter.

"- Cute." I heard Dani finish a sentence.

"Could you repeat that?" I asked her, looking at her.

"I said I met a really cute boy." She said.

"OoOohh, what's his name?" I squealed.

"Echo." All the color drained from my face as she said that.

"E-Echo? E-Echo Cane?"

"Yea, why? You know him?" She asked, Pulling up to The Silver Spoon Café.

"Yea..." I muttered.

"He's actually Gonna meet us here." She got out of the car with me following. I followed her inside, And into a booth, which a few of our friends were sitting at.

There was Kat- She Had her ginger hair wrapped into a ponytail, and was wearing a rainbow dress with cats on it.

There was Bonnie, Who had her White hair flowing down past her shoulders. She was wearing A orange t-shirt and jean Shorts.

I was surprised to see my cousin sitting at the booth, Moony. She had her black hair Tied into a ponytail. She was wearing a dark blue T-shirt with a little bear on it, and it read FREDDY FAZBEARS PIZZERIA. She was wearing jean shorts.

"Hey, Guys!" I said as Dani sat down, me sitting beside her. "Kat,Bonnie. Moonet."

"Please call me Moony, Ashley." Moonet said.

"Ok, fine." I said, putting my hands in the air.

"Hey, little sweetheart." A fimiliar voice greeted. I looked up to my right to see Echo- his Wild red hair standing out from his Black hoodie and jeans. He sat beside me, slipping his arm around my shoulders. An electric sensation ran through me as I sat there beside him.

"Hi." I said quietly.

"Hello!" Kat chanted.

"Greetings." Moony Waved

"Sup." Bonnie said.

"Oh, hey there..." Dani muttered.

A waitress came over, a notepad in her hand.

"Hi! My name is Leila and I'm your waitress. Can I get y'all anything?" She asked in a southern accent.

"Hmm..." Bonnie looked down at the menu. "We'll have one salad, Two bagels with cream cheese, and five iced waters."

"Pancakes too, please and thank you." Echo added.

"Is that all?" Leila asked, scribbling down the order on her notepad.

They all looked at each other, waiting for anyone to add anything.

"No, that's all." Moony said. The waitress walked away.

"So... You and Ashley know each other?" Dani directed at Echo. I looked down at my knees.

"Yea." He said.

"Are you... In a relationship?" She asked, twirling her hair.

I knew very well Dani would steal Echo from me if we told her we were just friends.

"Yes." I whispered, only loud enough that Echo could here it. Even though I couldn't see his face, I knew there was surprise Hidden in his expression.

"Yea, we are." He stated. He pulled me closer to him.

"Alright." Out of the corner of my eye I saw Dani shrug. Step one of being a Leo; don't show emotions.

A Leo is a zodiac sign- that's hers. She was born an August fifteenth. I'm an Aquarius. Born on February forth.

After We had eaten, Echo paid for our meals. We drove to the fair, Echo had slipped his hand down to my waist.

As we walked, Dani suggested the Ferris wheel.

"Come on, all of you! Six per car!" The instructor guy said. I hesitated, remembering my fear of heights.

"I've got you." Echo whispered in my ear. I let him lead me in. We took the seat closest to the entrance.

We went around, stopping every few seconds, so at the bottom, more people could get on.

"So, how long have you two been dating?" Dani asked unexpectedly. Me and Echo both looked at her in alarm.

"Erm.. Only for a few days.." Echo said Unsurely. He looked over the side of the Car.

"Woah, You guys wanna ride that?" He said, pointing at a roller coaster. It went upside down in a circle.

"The Fireball" Moony said. I looked at it.

"Looks alright, I mean, Kat has leggings, she can go, but I don't think Ashley will even Do so much as watch it." Bonnie commented.

"Really?" Echo asked. I felt comfortable in the position he was holding me. Safe.

"Yea, I'm not much a fan." I said, looking up at his brilliant blue eyes.

It was about a minute before Echo looked away from me. He muttered something I couldn't hear, then rested his head on mine.

Dani flinched at the way he was holding me. She looked down over the side of the car.

I loved the way Echo was holding me, but we were nearing the bottom of the Ferris wheel. I nudged him with my elbow, and he looked up.

After the instructor let us out, we headed toward the Fireball. Kat, Bunny, and Moony rode it, while me and Echo agreed to meet them at the Mary-Go-Round.

*A few hours later*

We were riding Kat home. Dani had stayed at the fair, and Moony meet up with a friend.

"Right here." Kat said, pointing to a building. Echo stopped the car, allowed Kat to get out, then started driving again.

"So... I was thinking." Echo began. I looked at him and Raised an eyebrow.
"Do you.. Well..."

"Do I actually want to be your girlfriend?" I finished for him. He nodded. "Yes, in fact, I do."

"Well then, Ashley, Will you be my Girlfriend?" He asked awkwardly.

"Yup! I would love to." I replied. We drove in silence for the next few minutes, until Echo finally Parked the car beside A forest. "Where are we?"

"You'll see." Echo said, a smile plastered on his face. He got out of the car, then came over to my door and opened it for me. I climbed out, and he slipped his hand down to my waist. He then led me into the Shadow-Filled Forest.
