I hope you like the next couple chapters! They are what created this story! This was the first part of my idea and then I kinda of figured out what would happen from before and after this point.

Step 7.1: Deal With Unwanted Guests

"So, mind telling me where were going? And what's with the get up? Oh! Can I have a fry!?"

The voice caused Jack to sharply turn the wheel in surprise (sadly his fries flew everywhere) Once regaining control of the wheel he used one hand to pull over to the break down lane. While the second hand grabbed his gun and pointed it at the unknown person in the back.

Jack didn't even turn to face the intruder. "I don't miss," He said deathly calm.

"Whoa Jack. Calm down. Wait- Why the hell do you even have that!?" A familiar voice shouted.

Without removing the gun he turned around. His eyes met the dark ones of, Kai?

She was dressed in all black and her hair was pulled back as well. Her hands were held up in an "I surrender" notion.

Slowly Jack lowered and put away his gun. He groaned and cursed a couple times. "You just had to ruin everything," he said glaring at her.

Kai blinked unsure of what to say still trying to get over the fact that a gun had been pointed in her face.

"Now I gotta bring you home," Jack continued. "It's gonna take me even longer to get this done. Today was perfect! But no! You had o ruin everything!"

"Look I don't know what you're talking about. But why do you have a gun?"

"It doesn't matter. I'm bringing you home."

"No. You're going to give me an explanation or I'm going to tell your mom about that gun. You're- you're not going to kill someone are you?"

Jack shook his head. "Steal some stuff yes. Kill? Not currently on my agenda."

"Currently? Does that mean y-"

"Now I explained. So you keep your mouth shut."

"No. That wasn't an explanation. And stealing? I guess that explains the disguise. So, what are you stealing? Money? If so I want a cut."

"It's not money. And it doesn't matter. I'm not doing anything super illegal."

"Well you're going to continue with this journey of yours and I'm going to tag along."

Jack's eyes narrowed. "No you're not. I'm bringing you home."

"But you said it yourself. Today is perfect. I mean you have a cover story by sleeping over. My parents are out of town. And I know you slipped something in Elias's soda. What was that by the way?"

Jack sighed. "A mix of Chamomile and cough syrup. Idiot didn't even realize it tasted different."

"Ooh. I gotta remember that. Anyway, when are you going to get another chance like this? Long as you're not doing anything super illegal I won't tell anyone. So... What are you doing? What are you stealing?"

"I'm stealing from someone who does stuff that is super illegal..."

"So you're a vigilante? Cool. Well then, I won't say a word as long as I get a complete explanation."

Jack frowned and then let his head fall on the steering wheel with a bang. "I just know I'm going to regret this."

"Yay!" Kai shouted and climbed from the back seat into the front. Jack sighed and pulled back onto the highway. "So, my explanation?"

"Not right now. I need to run stuff over in my head." Not like she said when she needed that explanation anyway.

Kai frowned and turned on the radio. Jack quickly turned it off.

"Can I do anything?" Kai pouted.

"You can read me the directions."

Kai grabbed them from the dashboard and read hem over under the light of her phone.

"Turn your phone off!" Jack shouted.

"Why?"

"If we were to be tracked or something they would follow the signal from your phone."

Kai raised an eyebrow. "You're paranoid you know that?"

"Just turn it off."

Kai rolled her eyes and turned the phone off squinting at the directions in the darkness. "You realize these are directions to a random spot in the middle of nowhere forest right?"

Jack nodded. "There something there I promise you."

Jack finally pulled over to the side of a dirt road and turned off the lights.

Kai looked out the window at their surroundings. "You plan to steal from trees?"

Jack rolled his eyes. "No. Look to the left. See the little bit of light deep in those trees? It's a base of sorts. I'm going in there. You stay here."

"Ha, fat chance. I'm going with."

"Oh really? And just what do you plan to do?"

Kai smiled. "Do you need a distraction?"
