Step 1: Plan

Step 1: Plan

He punched the kid in the face before the kid realized what was happening.

"What the hell Blake?!" He demanded clutching his nose. "That's not fair!"

Blake quickly swept the boys legs out from under him. He bent down and grabbed the boy by the front of the shirt so he could look him in the eye. Blake eyes are daggers into him as he spoke low, "Name one thing about all of this that is fair." He spat the word fair as if it was venom. When the boy didn't answer he dropped him and walked off.... If life was fair he wouldn't be here in the first place.

"It's not fair dad!" Jack was jerked from his memories to hear his sister whining.

"That's nice Mckenzie," their father said clearly uninterested. Jack glanced over to see the rest of them. His older brother- Matthew was busy jamming out to some song on his phone while Mckenzie whined. Their dad played some game on an iPad not caring while his mom stared out the window of the limo watching everything pass by.

"Miranda!" Mckenzie whined to Jack's mother. The woman glanced at her before looking back out the window.

"Tell him Matt!" Mckenzie shouted at her twin ripping one of his of earbuds out.

"Hey!"

The two began to bicker.

"No. Stop. Don't," Their father said, clearly used to this behavior.

"I just want a kitten!" Mckenzie complained turning back to her father. "I've been asking for years. It's not fair."

"Actually I want a dog," Matthew put in.

"No," their father deadpanned.

"But-"

"You both are 19. Act like it... You should know that I've been itching to kick you out for the past year."

"That's definitely not fair," the twins said in unison.

"Nothing's fair," Jack said, honestly just sick of the pointless conversation. At his statement four pairs of eyes land on him. He rolled his eyes and looked back out the window.

The rest of the ride was silent.

"We're here," Dad said. Jack stared wide eyed as the massive house standing in front of him.

Now he knew his father was rich and had an impressive company. Even if he had lost his memory, the limo they had ridden in was clue enough.

What confused him was the fact that he distinctly remembered living in an apartment with his mother despite his father's wealth.

"What do you think?" Mckenzie asked him as he climbed out of the limo.

Jack blinked. "It's uh, big?"

"Excellent observation squirt," Matthew said patting the top of his head like he was a dog. Jack growled a bit and pushed the hand away. Great now I'm more of a dog. Jack thought.

Either way Matthew didn't seem to care or notice as he walked in the mansion. Jack followed albeit tentatively.

Inside was a large living room where the twins had each flopped on a couch. A few maids bustled around carrying trays, clothes and other things.

"No! No! No! Where did my husband find you!? You don't wash these with dark colors! And where is you're uniform!?"

Eyes turned to see a woman with bright green eyes and bottle blonde hair yelling at a girl who was carrying a laundry basket. The girl couldn't have been older than 20.

"Boss said if don't want to I don't have I wear it," the girl replied.

"I don't care what my husband said! You are a maid and you shall act like one!"

"Whoa, calm down Catherine," Dad said running over to calm the situation. "None of them have to wear the uniforms and it's just a rookie mistake."

"A rookie mistake is you hiring a bunch of college students to work for us!"

"They need the money, I-"

"Yes! Yes of course! Because it's all about you!" Catherine stormed up the stairs without another word and Dad tried to calm the maid.

"Wow," Jack mumbled quietly.

"You should see her on her time of the month," his mother muttered behind him. "Come. I'll show you your room and explain some more."

Jack followed his mother up the stairs and down a hall to a large bedroom. A giant bed, a large dresser, desk with a small lamp, two closets and a huge flat screen mounted on the wall.

"Yeah I know it's a lot," his mother said taking a seat on the bed. Jack sat on the bed facing the woman. She pulls her long and curly black hair into a ponytail but keeps her dark brown eyes trained on her son. As if she takes her eyes off of him he'll disappear. "Well where do I start?"

Jack wasn't sure how long he sat there but nothing could have been better than the time he sat speaking with his mom.

She told him the basics, which were things he already knew. But then they ended up speaking of ice cream and TV shows. Anything. He wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Jack sat laid in his bed wide awake despite it being 2 in the morning. His sister had been up talking on the phone and she just didn't seem to shut up.

Jack was just about to scratch his plan when he heard what he was waiting for.

"Alright. Fine I'm a party pooper but I'm going sleep."

He waited about fifteen minutes more of silence before he crept out of his room. He slowly opened the door to his sister's room. Mackenzie was sound asleep under her purple blanket. Jack scanned the darkness until he spotted her laptop. Bingo.

Silently he grabbed the device and left as quickly as he had come.

Back in his room he opened the laptop trying to figure out the password. He pegged his sister as one to have an easy password if she had one at all.

After a few tries the password turned out to be her name. Rolling his eyes, he opened the internet. He paused his mission to set it up so his history wouldn't be recorded before typing in the Institute website he has memorized.

Instantly it popped up looking for his ID number and password.

Jack cursed his own stupidity. Of course it would need it. To see who has access. He needed a sure fire way to get in. He closed the page and returned the laptop before laying back in his bed.

His mind going to fast for him to sleep.

Damnit Blake- Jack think. He scolded himself. He took a deep breath before he began to whisper to himself in the darkness sorting his thoughts. "They would've deleted my account, if they believe I'm dead. I can't use someone else's because then they would trace it back here. Worst of all I'm across the country now.... But, there's more than one branch...." A smile split across his face.

There was California Branch. He had been there once before.

He jumped out of his bed, clicked on a small lamp and ran to his desk looking for paper and a pen creating a list of steps for him to do. When he was finished he looked at the first step:

Step 1: Plan

Seemed simple enough. He could easily stay up all night planning out each detail. He then looked to the second item, that would be tricker.

Step 2: Get a Gun
