First piece of the new year, huh? I've been thinking about getting into digital art more than I have been...the previous pieces were things I just colored digitally, but this one I outright drew in an hour or so.

This isn't the only thing I'm planning to draw her in...it was kind of a warm-up, if I'm being honest. A test, I think, to see how well I could draw Annelise in particular.

I would have kept it plain blue and white, but I thought I should add color to her hair and eyes for reference (also my friend really wanted to see this so I hope you like it, Zoe).

I shouldn't get into so much detail on Annelise. That's for a later time. She's eighteen, the younger sister to Xavier, curious, and a bit too adventurous for her own good. She's got all the mannerisms of a royal, but still somehow manages to find new and creative ways to tick off the guards.

Because of her lifestyle, however, her only real confidant and friend is her Uncle Philip (it was formerly Xavier but *cough* things happened and I don't think I should get too much into that).

Philip's great. I really like him. He used to be the king, too. We won't get too much into that, either. But yeah. Citizens who've met any of the royal family always think they're pleasant to be around (except the actual king...he's intimidating as all hell).

Now for le fun fact!

When Annelise wakes in the morning, her hair frizzes in all directions. She's used to it, but the servants and family members alike (mainly Philip and Vanessa, her mom) give her a nickname that she secretly enjoys them using because of it: Lion Mane.
