These two are Valentine's Trick (the one in the pink and black) And Halloween's Treat (the one with the top hat), and they, are the only two that are canonly engaged.

Val's name is Clarissa Noir and Hal is Grimm Gross

They're are both 30, but don't have any kids because Val can't have kids, because she'll most likely die, so Hal refuses to go through with it, he doesn't wanna lose her.

They met in ninth grade, a few months after Hal moved from Bavaria Germany to Paris,France, Val's hometown, and started dating about highschool. Then once they graduated, after a few years they started up their carnival after they got engaged, Hal 'accidently' killed the trapeze artist with rat poison, and the strong man pissed off Val by constantly flirting with her even though she was engaged to Hal, she killed him with a fire extinguisher, they both panic about what to with the bodies and then just quickly disposed of the bodies, Val got the Trapeze artist and Hal, got the strong man despite him wanting to get the trapeze artist.
They traveled to in Berlin after that, where they met Klaus and his adopted little sister Lily. Klaus basically talked Hal into killing and giving one person to him so he can run experiments on them. Hal convinces Val, thus started everything.
