=>From Me To You (Pt.1)<=

1 day before the big day...

"Really? You and Jane, together in one room, without you sassing her the whole time?", Paul asked incredulously, and Kathy just nodded with a huge smile.

She actually felt proud that she managed to befriend her ex-nemesis.

"And what about you? I'm surprised Richard took you out to drink.", Kathy stated, and Paul scratched the back of his neck.

"Yeah. But me and John are still not on good terms.", he replied. The woman beside him sighed.

"I know Johnny-Boy. He may be like that, but for Pete's sake, he's your best friend! He won't be able to resist you.", she spoke, rubbing Paul's back.

"Yeah, you're right. No one can.", Paul answered, facing her with a smirk.

"And there he goes again.", she replied, rolling her eyes.

Paul leaned in and Kathy reciprocated his actions when they were interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Really?", Paul groaned. He got up to answer the door, with Kathy laughing as she followed suit.

He opened the door to reveal his beloved parents and to-be parent standing there with huge grins on their faces.

"Hello, my dearest son!", Mary greeted, attacking Paul with kisses on his cheeks and a bone-crushing hug. Kathy was definitely amused with what she was witnessing.

"Mom! Aunt Mary and Uncle Samuel!", Kathy greeted, and she welcomed them with a kiss on their cheeks.

"Come in please.", the couple spoke, and led them in their house. Their parents made themselves comfortable on the couch.

"Umm, what's the occasion?", Paul asked, confused to why they were gathered here today.

"Well, hello? The wedding? It's tomorrow! Just reminding you, lot.", Mary answered, and the rest of them laughed.

"Mary and I were about to take Kathy here on a girls' day out. Sam here will take you, Paul.", Gina added, and the pair exchanged glances.

"Besides, you two aren't supposed to be together the day before your wedding. It's tradition.", Samuel stated. The two mothers nodded in agreement.

"But, where will I sleep tonight?", Kathy asked.

"You'll sleep back in our house for tonight, dear.", her mother replied.

"We'll be keeping you company here, Paulie.", Mary teased her son, and Samuel laughed.

"Anyways, toodles! Go have fun, boys!", the older women said as they led Kathy out the door.

"Wait!", Paul cried out, and thet stopped walking. He ran to his fianceé and hugged her.

"See you tomorrow, princess.", he whispered, facing her and kissing her cheek.

He did not dare to kiss her in front of her mom.

"See you, my prince.", she answered, and giggles were heard.

"Stop being cute. C'mon!", they once again said, and off they went.

Samuel and Paul looked at each other and shrugged, laughing at the women's silliness.

"It's just you and me, boy."

"Where are we?", Kathy asked for the fifth time, and still got no reply from her biological mother and about-to-be mother. The two mischievous women blindfolded poor Kathy and led her to a strip club.

"What's all that noise?", she asked, hearing cheering and music. The room reaked of the smell of cocktails and sweat, a strange combination.

"Shh, darling. We're almost in our seats.", she heard her mother speak.

She was then forcefully sat on a chair, and the cheering got louder. She could make out from the piece of fabric over her eyes sillhouttes of people raising their glasses up.

"Okay, okay. Simmer down, ladies.", the emcee spoke, and Kathy turned to where the sound was coming from.

"We have a special princess with us today who is getting married tomorrow. You hear that? Tomorrow!", he continued, and the crowd cheered even more.

"Let's show our lucky lady what's going on, eh?", he added and the fabric was removed from her eyes.

She was momentarily stunned by the lights, but then they adjusted and were wide open when she realized she was in the middle of the stage with 5 male strippers standing next to her.

"Oh. My. F**king. Gosh.", she uttered, and as she made eye contact with the guys, they all winked at her and ripped off their tank tops, revealing their perfectly-toned bodies.

"Man, they're hot.", she whispered, but suddenly an image of a shirtless Paul and a Paul whose bare ass she saw flashed through her mind.

"But damn, my fiancé can DEFINITELY turn me on that these guys.", she continued.

"Let's get this party started!", the emcee cut off her little monologue, and the music got louder.

"Help" was all she managed to say when she was starting to get surrounded by the hot males who were half-naked.

"Look at her. She's all flustered.", Gina said, and Mary agreed.

"She sure is gonna love this.", Mary replied, and they watched the poor young lady do her best to keep her composure amidst the dancing strippers dangerously close to her.

"Sam, what are we doing here?", Paul asked his stepdad as they stood outside of his huge garage. Samuel led him to the house that he and Mary shared, the one they first bought as a married couple.

"You ever wondered where I spend my money, sport?", Samuel spoke, and Paul just raised an eyebrow.

"Uh, come to think of it, yeah.", he replied, and Samuel turned to the garage door and smiled.

He got out a remote from his inner jacket pocket and pressed a button, instantly opening the door.

"These babies right here."

Paul stood in awe as he gazed at the instruments. It was a complete studio: drums, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, microphones and speakers. Not to mention they were ALL high quality.

"Wow. I didn't know you played.", Paul spoke, and Samuel smiled, knowing how much his stepson loved music.

"You're mom was surprised, as well. Said I wasn't the 'rockstar' type.", Samuel responded.

"Yeah. I used to be part of a band, y'know. I was the lead guitarist.", Samuel added, and Paul snapped his head towards him.

"Yeah? I'm the bassist for our band.", Paul responded.

They just stood there, Paul admiring the instruments and Samuel taking pride in his band set.

Suddenly, an idea clicked in his head.

"Why don't we jam with you're band? It's been a while since I played.", Sam asked, and Paul was surprised.

"Really?"

"Call 'em.", Samuel spoke, a huge grin on his face. Paul got out his phone and rang his band mates.

"So?", Mary and Gina asked simultaneously to a very embarrassed Kathy, who had just gone outside for some fresh air after the little 'show' put on for her.

"I am NOT doing that again!", she replied, and the two women just laughed.

"Aw, c'mon. Didn't you enjoy it  even just a little bit?", Mary asked, and Kathy gave a small smile.

"Yeah, I guess it was kinda fun.", Kathy sighed.

"That Chris guy, was that his name? Oh my, the abs!", Gina commented, and Mary nodded.

"Ooh, what about the one called Johnny? That freaking jawline is just, ugh!", Mary added, and Kathy couldn't believe that the two older women enjoyed the show more than she did.

"Oh my gosh, you guys!", Kathy remarked, and they all giggled.

"Let's go. We have somewhere else to go.", Gina said, and they led Kathy to an old house.

"This was my mum's house.", Mary spoke as she entered the antique home, Kathy and Gina following her.

They admired all the old paintings, vases, furniture and carpets. As they wandered around, an older lady came in and greeted them, offering them cups of warm tea.

"Thank you, Dina. Ladies, this is Dina, my mum's caretaker. She stayed with us for the longest time, even until Mum... passed away.", Mary trailed off, and Gina rubbed her back for comfort.

"Ah, Kathy. I want you to have something.", Mary continued, and went inside a room.

Later on, she came back with a tiny box in her hand. It was red adorned with gold sequins and had a pretty little pearl on the top.

"My mum wanted you to have it.", Mary stated, and opened the box to reveal a beautiful silver necklace with a blue pendant.

"Me?", she wondered.

"She instructed me to give this to the woman Paul would marry. She loved her grandson so much.", Mary explained, and Kathy's heart melted.

"Aunt Mary..."

"Please, call me Mum, too. You are technical my daughter now.", Mary cut her off.

"Mum, I can't accept this. It's too priceless-"

"Hush, child. Turn around and so I can put it on.", Mary interrupted, and Kathy did as told. The necklace matched her outfit.

"Of course, I'm giving you something.", Gina the spoke, and Kathy faced her. Her biological mum felt her pocket for a little pouch.

"Here. You're dad would've loved you to have that.", she said, and Kathy opened it to spot a pair of pearl earrings with small angel wings as design.

"Your dad told me to give it to you once you turned 18, but I think now is the perfect time.", Gina added, and Kathy was starting to tear up.

"You guys...", she trailed off, hugging her two mothers, who embraced her tightly in return.

"Thank you. I'm so lucky to have you as my mothers.", Kathy said, looking at the both of them. She then wore the earrings her mother gave her.

"You look beautiful, my dear. I can only imagine you in a wedding dress tomorrow.", Gina commented, gazing lovingly at her daughter.

"Paul would surely have his jaw drop to the floor as she walks foen the aisle.", Mary continued, and Kathy smiled.

"Well, this day just got a whole lot better.", Kathy replied.

"Wow, you guys can play.", Samuel commented, and the band chuckled.

"Thanks, uncle Sam. You've got some killer riffs as well.", George replied.

"These are some lovely instruments, uncle.", Ringo spoke, and Samuel smiled.

"Paul, your stepdad's awesome.", George added, and it was Paul's turn to smile.

"Yeah, he sure is.", he answered.

"Macca, have a minute?", John then spoke, and Paul met George's eyes and the latter nodded, mouthing a 'go on'.

They went outside, and Paul put his hands in his pockets.

"Listen, I- I'm sorry for being such an ass yesterday.", John said, bowing his head down.

"Aunt Mimi yelled at me again. Said I should go find a real job instead of playing guitar at pubs all over Liverpool.", he added, and Paul turned to face him.

"It's alright, mate. We all have our problems. I'm glad you shared that with me.", Paul answered, and John smiled.

"You're the best.", John replied.

It was silent between the pair for a while. They let the breeze brush on their skin and they watched the leaves fall from the trees.

"You know, Kathy's really lucky to have you.", John spoke, and Paul laughed.

"I think it's the other way around, mate.", he answered. But John shook his head.

"Nah, you're sweet, kind, gentle, full of energy, and good-looking. Not to mention musically inclined, as well.", John said, and Paul cocked an eyebrow.

He felt weird that his hest friend was complimenting him.

"I mean, I would consider myself lucky if I was in her shoes.", John added, fiddling with his fingers.

"Um, thanks?", Paul said, yet it came out as sort of a question. John wasn't normally this soft towards him.

"Let's get inside before you catch a cold.", John resumed, and thet went back inside.

"What was that about?", Paul muttered to himself.
