Chapter 15- Three Weeks...?
We land in Hawaii and I gasp at its beauty. "T-the trees... the sky... the volcano... everything is beautiful!"
"Hn."
"Sasuke, take a picture of me, will you?" I ask him, handing him my phone.
"Hn." He says, but complies. I throw my hands up in the air, smiling. "Done."
"Let's get one together!"
"I don't do photos. Hn." He says.
"Oh, come on, Sasuke!" I say, walking up to him and grabbing his wrist, dragging him to where I was standing a minute before. I grab my phone from him and put it in front of me, perfectly capturing Sasuke, the volcano, and I. "Say cheese!"
"Hn." He says, but slightly smiles. I smile, obviously bigger than Sasuke.
"Mr. and Mrs. Uchiha. Would you like me to take a proper picture of the two of you?" Alex, one of the Uchiha's loyal butlers, asks, and I eagerly nod my head.
"Yes, please!" I hand him my phone and walk back to Sasuke. "Please smile for me, Sasuke." I say.
"Hn." He says, but quickly surprises me by pulling me close to him and wrapping his arms around my waist. We both smile until the butler hands me my phone back.
"Agghhh they're so cute! Thank you so much!" I tell the butler, and he nods, walking away with our suitcases.
"Lemme see." Sasuke says, quickly swiping away my phone. He smiles and taps on my phone for a minute, then hands it back to me. I notice that he sent all of them to himself. I raise a brow at him. "What?!" He asks.
"Didn't know you loved me so much, Sasuke." I tease.
"Oh, please. You love me more."
"Probably." I respond as we start to walk towards the limo that would take us to our hotel.
~
"Wow." I sigh, looking around our room. "It's beautiful."
"You're more beautiful." Sasuke says from behind me, and I blush.
"Y-y-you're so out of character, Sasuke-kun." I stutter, then realized what I said. Sasuke just smirks.
"Sasuke-kun?" He repeats.
"It just slipped out, I'm sorry I-"
"I like it. And is it so wrong to be affectionate towards the woman I love?" He responds, and I blush more, walking to the balcony. I put both my hands on the railing and look out. Seconds later a body is pressed against my own. "Is it?" He asks again, looking over my shoulder st the view."
"No. I love it, I'm just not used to it. You used to be so cold before." I respond, watching the waves crash against the beach.
"Ahhhhh... only you and my family will ever see this side of me." He says, and I smile. He kisses the side of my neck. "Because I love you."
"I love you too." I respond, turning my head so that he leans down and kisses me. I blush, as this is the first kiss we've shared, besides our wedding day. Oh, and Sasuke is ridiculously tall.
"I'm not tall, you're just really small." He says, and I pout.
"Am not." I turn around, arms crossed.
"Are too."
"Am not."
"Are too."
"Am no-" I am cut off as I notice the distance between us. Sasuke notices as well and leans down to give me a quick peck, then runs away.
"Y-y-you tease!"
~
There's a festival tonight. Sasuke and I walk around the small town and look in the shops for something to wear. My eyes light up once I see it. Sasuke tries to follow, but I push him out the door.
"Go find something. I don't want you to see what I'll be wearing just yet!"
He smirks. "Meet back at the hotel in an hour."
"Yeah!" I agree and he walks away. I turn back into the store where the dress resides and smile. I pick it up and buy it, along with some accessories and shoes and walk back to the hotel.
I grab my makeup bag and walk into the bathroom, where I lock the door and take a quick shower. Once done, I put on some concealer, foundation, silver eyeshadow, eyeliner, and red lipstick. Then, I grab the pink dress and slip it on. I look in the mirror, smiling, and twirl. I blush and put on a small sakura flower necklace for the final touch.
Hmmm.... I wonder what Sasuke will think?
I step out of the bathroom and still realize that there is about ten minutes left until we were supposed to meet. I look to the side and the sunset catches my gaze. I look on in awe and walk out to the balcony, resting my hands on the rail and watching the sunset.
"Wow." A breathless whisper says from behind me. I turn, brushing some strands of hair behind my ear as I do so, and blush.
"Hi, handsome. Uh-uhm... erm... I mean hi Sasuke-kun." I stutter, cursing myself for voicing my thoughts. "T-this is just a festival?"
"Well, I had to follow your sense of style." He says, and I blush, then internally frown as he hasn't complimented me........ yet I do spot a hint of pink on his cheeks.
"Eh... my style isn't that ridiculous. Whenever I'm not out it's just a baggy tee and sweats." I respond, then facepalm. Way to flirt, Sakura!
"Well, then guess I'll follow that too." He responds. Wow... I think I just turned him off...
"W-well... let's go?" I ask.
"Sure. Hn." He says, offering his hand. I look at it, wide-eyed, then walk towards him and take it. "Let's go, beautiful." Um.... I didn't turn him off? My cheeks redden as I nod in agreement.
~
"Ne, Sasuke. Can I use one of your shirts? It seems as if my beloved servant and friend decided I didn't need any." I ask. He nods and tosses a white one to me. "Thanks!" I yell, heading into the bathroom.
I change my clothes, take off my makeup, and pull down my hair, then look at my reflection, blushing. I touch my lips, where his were, and sigh.
~
"Yo, Sakura."
"Hm?" I turn towards him.
"Arigato."
"Arigato? For what?"
"Accepting me."
"Eh? I've always loved and accepted you, Sasuke-kun."
"And I love you too."
And then, lips against my own.
~
"Sakura, you coming?" His muffled voice says from the other side of the door.
"Yeah!" I respond, opening the door. We head to the bed. "I call this side!"
"Hn." We both get in the bed. Wait.... no! "What are you doing?"
"Putting a pillow between us." I respond, doing as said.
"Why?"
I roll over to see his back facing me, his Uchiha symbol clear. "Because. Uh..."
"... We're married Sakura. And I'm an honorable man."
"Ok. Goodnight." I retract the pillow and roll so my back's facing his. I start to fall asleep, but I hear the next words clearly, even if I shouldn't have.
"...night." He whispers, rolling over. His hand touches the back of my shirt, where the Uchiha symbol resides. "... I'm happy I made the right choice."
~
I yawn, stretching and slowly opening my eyes. I hiss at the sunlight coming through the open doors and windows and instead close my eyes snuggle into my warm pillow.
Warm... pillow...?
My eyes bolt open and I scream, pushing the thing off my bed. It lands with a 'thud' and I peer over the edge of the bed. My eyes open in surprise.
"Owwwwwww...." He groans.
"Eh? Oh my god, I'm so sorry, Sasuke-kun!" I apologize, getting off the bed and helping him sit up. He's got a bump on the back of his head... oops. "Stay right here, I'll be right back!" I tell him, heading for the freezer. I grab a small ice pack and walk over to him, helping him stand and rest back on the bed before handing him the ice pack.
"What the heck was that for?" He asks, mentioning the previous incident.
"I woke up and forgot you were here, honest!" I respond.
He looks into my eyes and then his gaze softens. "Hn."
"I'll go make some breakfast. Eggs okay?" I ask and he nods. I stand up and walk into the kitchen, where I grab the necessary materials and start to make the meal, humming to myself. Soon after, I feel a pair of eyes on my back, and I blush, but turn around with two plates of freshly made food in my hands. I set them down at the table and then look at Sasuke. "Breakfast is ready!" We sit down and eat, chatting here and there.
The next couple days have passed by in a blur. Sasuke and I are really getting along and I'm proud to say that we're somewhat a couple.
"Yo, Sakura. Wanna go down to the beach today?" Sasuke asks living room.
"Sure!" I reply from the bedroom, grabbing my bikini and a coverup. I head into the bathroom and quickly change, then grab my small bag filled with sunscreen, a towel, and a medical book. I grab my hat, sunglasses, and flip flops and head into the living room. Surprisingly, Sasuke is already ready so we head out the door and to the beach. "Ooh! Let's go right there!" I point to a spot nearby and we set up the chairs and towels. We sit down and close our eyes, enjoying the serene crashing of the waves. Suddenly, a mechanical sound jars me out of my peace. My eyes widen in delight when I realize it's a jetski. "Woah! Sasuke, look!" I yell, shaking him. He opens his eyes and looks at it.
"Hn."
"It's so coooooolllll!!!- Hey, where are you going?"
"I'll be right back." He says, walking somewhere. A couple minutes later he returns. "Let's put this stuff away."
"What are we doing?!" I ask him.
"You'll see." He responds. We head back to our hotel room and put our stuff away, then Sasuke grabs my hand and leads me somewhere with a blindfold on my face. Yay. "Aaaannndd.... here we are." He says, removing the blindfold from my face.
My eyes widen in surprise and a big smile makes its way onto my lips. "Yay! Thanks, Sasuke-kun!" I hug him tightly.
Surprisingly, a hint of a smile graced his lips. "No problem. Now let's go try out that jetski."
"Eeeeeekkkkk!!!" I squeal, hugging Sasuke from behind tightly as we take off, closing my eyes tightly.
"Relax, Sakura. You're fine." He reassures.
I listen to him and we take off again. "Woah..." I mutter as we go flying. "This is awesome!"
"Told ya."
"Arigato, Sasuke-kun!" He slightly turns his head and smiles at me, and I smile back.
~
The next day, just as Sasuke and I were heading to the volcano by tour guide, my phone goes off. "Excuse me." I say and the two nod, Sasuke giving me a questioning glance. "Hello?" I ask.
"Sakura-san! Finally!" Rya, my fathers personal assistant, says.
"What's up, Rya?"
"You and Sasuke need to come back, now." She says, and I note the urgency in her voice.
"Hm... why?" I ask, turning to Sasuke and flashing him a reassuring smile.
"Your father is not happy. And Mikoto-san is sick, we think. Nobody at the hospital can figure it out." She says, and immediately my heart drops, smile briefly turning to a saddened state, then to a normal one.
"W-we'll be there in a day." I respond.
"Arigato, Sakura-san." She says, and I hang up, returning to Sasuke and the tour guide.
"I'm sorry, but we have to cut this trip short. We need to head back to Japan." I say.
"Why?" Sasuke asks.
I start to tear up. "S-Sasuke... your mother..." That's all it took. A few tears fall from the corner of his eye and he nods. I walk to him and hug him tightly. "I'll call Alex."
I dial his number and he answers. "Ah, why Mrs. Uchiha, what can I do for you?"
"Hi Alex... Can you and the guys please get the jet ready? We need to head back to Japan right away." I inform.
"Hai! We'll be right on it!"
"Thanks!" I reply and hang up. "I'm sorry about this." I tell the tour guide as we scale back down.
"It's quite alright. I hope that you two will have a fantastic marriage." He says.
"Arigato." I thank for Sasuke and I, who is trailing behind us. I drop back and wait for Sasuke and we walk side by side. And then, I do something daring. I slip my hand in his. "You're not alone. You have me. We'll both get through this." He gives my hand a reassuring squeeze, yet stays silent all the way back to the hotel room after an awkward departure from our tour guide. Sasuke and I pack our things then head out the door where we immediately head to the airport and get on the private jet.
Looks like we're going home.
