While, Manan reached the Malhotra enterprises.

Nandini was there for the first time but everyone obviously knew her cause they were official. Manik was in his Malhotra aura all the time, while Nandini was smiling at everyone who wished her.

As soon as they reached Manik's cabin, Manik looked and smiled at her.

Nandini was surprised. : How do you do this so quick?

Manik: Do what?

Nandini: Are you like a dual personality? I mean you were in so much attitude outside Manik, not at all the one I know and as soon as we in, you are back.

Manik: I don't know , it is not intentional. Comes from within.

Nandini: You got to keep a smile always from now on. Done deal?

Manik: Difficult but if you say, Okay.

Nandini smiled and pecked his cheeks.

Manik: Thankyou, settle down now. Coffee?

Nandini: No No I am fine.

Manik nodded.

Manik: I will call the designers and you can tell them whatever is needed for the designs.

Nandini nodded. The designers came in.

Manik shaked hands with them with a smile which shocked the designers. It was new to them .

Manik: Mr. Sheikh, here she is Ms. Nandini Murthy , the one who owns the restaurant chains. You all are working for her on this project.

Mr. Sheikh: Hello Ma'am.

Nandini: Hi

Manik: Nandini I am in the conference room. You guys discuss whatever is needed and Mr. Sheikh , I want the best work this time.

Mr. Sheikh: Ofcourse Sir, its for family afterall.

Manik smiled and left the cabin.

Mr. Sheikh showed her the presentation of all modern interior designs and Nandini selected a few of them.

Mr. Sheikh: What about the counter designs Ma'am?

Nandini: I am really sorry, I am not good with counters. Manik can tell you better. Ask him for that and anyways its our project and not solely mine now.

Mr. Sheikh smiled and nodded at her.

Mr. Sheikh: I will take your leave now Ma'am.

Nandini shaked hands with him and sat on the sofa in the cabin surfing through instagram.

After an hour, Manik entered the cabin to see her talking to someone over phone.

She looked up and passed her million dollar smile to Manik even when she was on a call. Manik reciprocated it back. Normally, after a meeting, he is tired and all he wants is a cup of coffee but today that smile did its work.

Nandini: Yeah finalize the deal and call me when its done . Bye.

She hung up the call.

Manik: Hey.

Nandini: Hi. Done?

Manik: Yeah, what were you doing all this while?

Nandini: I slept for a while I guess and then Pia called for some deal. Was just sorting it out.

By now, they were standing face to face. Manik wrapped his hands around her waist.

Manik: Why didn't you finalize the counter designs too?

Nandini: Cause I was honest when I said I am not good at counters. You are experienced No?

Manik sighed and bended his head down.

Nandini: Manik come on, its not a big deal and as you say whatever is yours is mine, same goes for you too right?

Manik; I know but its your business Nandini, how can you give credits to me just like that?

Nandini: I have given myself to you now Manik. All this does not really matter. Stop pondering on this much now.

Manik , still not convinced, but nodded.

Nandini made him look up and pecked his lips.

Manik who was surprised with this sudden act: You have no idea what you are inviting by doing this Nandini.

Nandini: Will you stop me ever from doing this?

Manik shaked his head smilingly: Never.

Nandini did the same again.

Manik looked into her eyes, he was definitely not stopping now. He took her lips for a deep long kiss sucking them. His lips doing their work perfectly while his hands on her waist doing doing their work perfectly. Nandini was took in by surprise but she responded equally. Her hands roaming in his hair and finally resting on his shoulders.

Manik felt Nandini's hands stiffening at his shoulders and so he broke the kiss. They were smiling looking at each other. Joining their foreheads with closed eyes, they were in their own little world when Manik's phone rang breaking their trance.

Manik whinned but took it out.

Manik: Kabhi na uthata agar Abhimanyu ka na hoa.

Nandini chuckled: Pick up the call.

Manik: Ha Abhi.

Abhimanyu: Manik , Nandini is around.

Manik looked at Nandini : Yeah she is.

Abhimanyu: Great , phone speaker pe rakhna please.

Manik did as he said.

Abhimanyu: Guys we have had a talk with Commissioner Sir already, and its all over the news now. Prashant is behind the bars as we are not the first family he did this with. Also, as per the records he had illegal businesses running all over the world. You guys need to be very very careful. Soha is a mental patient too according to records but cause her mother or her family deny that, there is no treatment going on. Nandu akele kahi nahi jayegi tu samjhi?

Nandini was shocked learning this. : JI Bhai.

Abhimanyu: Manik come back home right now. Orphanage kisi aur din chale jana.

Manik: Yeah ofcourse Abhi. Don't worry, Nandini ko kuch nahi hoga.

He said this looking at Nandini.

As soon as the call cut, Manik kissed Nandini's forehead , assuring her but also assuring himself that she is and will remain fine.

Manik: Lets go, let me double the security . Nandini dare you go anywhere alone atleast for few days.

Nandini knew Manik was hella worried now. She put her hands on his cheeks calming him down.

Nandini: Manik please calm down. I am right here. Kuch nahi hua hain aur na kuch hoga. Hmm?

Manik nodded.

They moved down the building, not once did Manik leave Nandini's hands.

Downstairs too, security was there already. They got in the car and drove off for Malhotras.

Nyonika and Ishita were on the door only waiting for them.

All four of them got in the hall. Butlers brought water for them.

Nyonika could see Manik's face reflecting tension.

Nyonika: Manik don't worry beta , let;s believe in god. Kuch bura nahi kar sakte bvo aur Nandu ke saath to bilkul nahi. Main bhi dekhti hu vo Soha kaise kuch kar pati hain hamare parivaar ko.

Ishit: Haa Manik ghar me to kuch bhi nahi bigad payegi vo na tumhara na nandu ka. Bahar bhi security hain aur Nandu never needs security when she has you around. Believe in yourself baccha. Go rest you guys.

Nandini was all the while looking at Manik.

Manik agreed and went upstairs followed by Nandini.

She was going in her room but Manik stopped her , holding her hands.

Manik: Can you be with me? infront of me?

Nandini smiled at him and nodded. They went to Manik's room.

Nandini: Manik rest for a while. I am right here.

Manik: I am okay Nandini.

Nandini: Darna mujhe chahiye , dar tum rahe ho. I never knew itne darpok ho tum Manik?

Manik: Mazak ka time nahi hain Nandini. I ain't scared but tensed for you.

Nandini started rubbing her arms.

Nandini: I am right here Manik and I am not even tensed. You know why?

Manik raised her eyebrows looking at her.

Nandini: Cause I know no one can harm me with you being there for me. I trust you Manik and I want you to trust yourself. And anyhow, jo hona hoga vo to hoga hi na, Patience is all we have Manik. Stop taking a toll on your mental health regarding this now. Please for me?

Manik knew she was right, they needed to be patient but he was scared for her, for the one who was his everything. And for his everything, he could do anything. He smiled and kissed her forehead wrapping her in his arms, protecting her from every negativity around.

Both of them laid down on the bed , talking- teasing, being themselves . They were enough to make the sad one happy and be happy in his/her happiness. This is 'MANAN'.
