FAREWELL

How I long to hear her voice!
How I miss her giggling noise!
Deep in my heart, her silence has dug a void.
The constant yearning in my heart, I can't avoid.

How I crave just a whisper!
If only it's just a few words she could filter.
That would make me very happy.
But why is my situation just so crappy?

Time seems to have swum a great deal of distance.
And I finally heard her voice, which struck my stance.
Am I not supposed to rejoice when things have gone so well?
In truth, the last thing I heard from my bedridden wife was farewell!
