I opened my eyes to find myself on a street corner, thunder booming loudly above me.
I looked around before fixing my eyes on a curly red headed boy walking through the empty street, completely entranced by a book.
Suddenly as if I wasn't in control of my own body, I instinctively ran after him, not fully sure why.For a moment time is slow and Rain falls in slow droplets around me.Then I tackle him to the ground roughly, moments before a giant lightning bolt struck in the space he was standing,the spot now sizzling and smoking.
For a few seconds he just stared at me, then the area where the lightning struck, and then back at me, dumbfounded.
"Y-you just saved my L-life."
He looked at me with a timid
Gaze.
I smiled getting up, dusting my self off,and then offering a hand out to him.
"Are you ok?"
He nodded slowly took my hand still timid.
"T-Thank you. I would have definitely been dead if you didn't p-push me out of the way."
I pulled him up, and then picked up his book, brushing the dirt off. I handed it to him,and he gave a small smile in return of mine.
But then his smile melted, and he looked terrified,shocked,and like he was gonna pass out all at the same time.

"W-WHAT THE HELL?!"
I frowned,
"What is it?"
"YOU HAVE WINGS!"
"Wait..what?"

I looked at my back to see brilliant gold wings.
They shimmered like stars, and I smiled.
"Oh that's fucking awesome",
I looked over to see him putting a hand to his forehead.

"A-Are you my guardian angel?"
I thought for a moment.
"Kind of.....?"
"K-kind of?", He said shaking slightly.
"Yeah...at least I think so,I'm new to this whole thing too...,"
I gestured to the coffee shop, behind where I was originally Standing,"why don't I explain it over a coffee?"
He nodded still shocked.
"I'm Griffin by the way.."
"I'm z-ziren.."
