10: I'm Fine

{No ones POV}

Inside the skeleton household, nobody but Nadia was home. Papyrus had his cooking lessons with Undyne, Gaster was working on something with Alphys, and Sans.... well she didn't know where he was. She was very tired from all the sleep she's been missing from her nightmares, not to mention dealing with her new changes. Recently they had gave her a room in the basement they made. It had pink walls with yellow hearts, and a small black and white window to see the snow falling. She had a pink and black twin bed, a white desk with art supplies, a small black TV, her own pink  bathroom, a soft black carpet, some plushies a black and yellow closet and much more. She was sitting on a little pink beanbag while thinking about life on the surface and how much it would hurt the others if she told them. She's never know what real love was until she had 'fell" into the underground. She was always made fun of and called names for being the way she was. While others hated monsters, she was always trying to learn a way to free them. She's read books about souls and different types of monsters, even about their history. Even her own father hated her for it.

'No, I won't think about that. I've been doing good so far and I'm not gonna ruin it.'

Since she was home alone, she was wearing a black tank top and some black shorts. She had got out the shower a few minutes ago and was waiting for her hair to dry. She never liked anyone seeing her in short clothes because of her past. That's on of the reasons why she keeps her hair long. She always had scars that reminded her of what happened, and she didn't want anyone to see her with them. Some marks were still fresh while some were as old as 10 years. She wasn't used to the fact that she was underground, so sometimes she would act like she was at 'home on the surface', and they would question it. As she was deep in her thoughts she didn't notice the sound of her door opening, revealing a certain skeleton.

"Hey Nadia."

She jumped off the beanbag, letting out a small scream and landed on her bed, the covers landing on her head. This made Sans laugh at her as Nadia blushed a dark red. She thought he didn't notice her state, but she didn't know that he had been standing at the door way for a few minutes. He was coming to ask her why she looked so tired, but now her was going to be talking to her for a while sooner or later. He just didn't want to rush it out of her. He walked down the stairs and sat on her beanbag. She was smiling slightly as he just chuckled.

"Come on Nadia. I was just messing around with you. I didn't mean to 'rattle your bones'".

"Really Sans, another pun."

"You know you like them."

"Yeah, now what did you want."

"Well, I've been noticing you've been looking a little tired and I was asking why."

"That's why, it's nothing bad. Just a few nightmares, that's all it is."

"Really, just nightmares. What are they about."

"Nothing bad, just.... um, things I'm scared of!"

"Kid, I can tell your lying. I see right threw you. Now what are they really about? Be honest."

"That's it Sans. I'm not saying anything else about them."

"So these 'nightmares' are that bad."

"I DIDNT SAY THAT!"

She never really raised her voice at anyone, let alon she never thought she would yell at Sans. Her hair turned blue as she looked away. Sans didn't mean to make her upset.

"I'm fine Sans. It's only a nightmare."

"Sure kid, I'll let you take your time."
