Ch. 7: Hell in a Cell
(A/N: And here is the 2nd and final part of my Bray Wyatt tribute chapters. I hope everyone enjoys it and that the match turns out as epic as I have imagined. Read on!)
In the remaining weeks leading up to the massive PPV event, the mind games between the Archangel and The Fiend have only progressed in the most twisted of ways. With every promo, every segment, every horrific message, and every attack, the intensity factor of this rivalry continued to reach the ultimate boiling point. Throw in the added elements of hope in the face of fear, the light vs. the dark, defiance against a reign of terror, and absolute courage against an imposing foe; this feud was becoming everything the WWE Universe hoped for. In fact, people are becoming so invested in this match that Triple H made the decision to have it main event the show, something Daniel and Bray were both extremely proud of.
Now, after the weeks of building and incredible hyping, Hell in a Cell is upon us!
Dalton, Wyatt, and Alexa Bliss arrived early enough to hang out, prep for their match, and discuss how things will go down tonight. It is a great day packed with excitement and good vibes for the evening. Plus, Bray always proves to be great to chat with. Tonight would be nothing short of a spectacle.
The kickoff show is now about to start, signaling the three needed to go their separate ways in order to get ready for the main event. They got together in a small circle before saying a quick prayer for tonight and separating.
"Oh, and um, can I get a moment with Ben really quick?" Bray asked.
Benjamin and Alexa glance at each other to make sure they are both OK with this. They nod in agreement before Alexa responds.
"Yea, I don't mind. I'll see you both out there."
She exits with a smile, eager for tonight. Once she is gone, Bray turns back to Benjamin.
"So, what's up?" Ben asks, Bray double-checking to ensure Alexa is at a distance before speaking with a low tone.
"I just wanna say that she's been doing a lot better these past couple of months; and I know a lot of that is thanks to you. So, when this is all over with, I think you should finally ask her out."
Benjamin raises his brow before glancing back in the direction she went in and turning back to Bray.
"You think so?"
"Absolutely," he happily nods. "She seems so much happier and more of herself with you. I can tell she really likes you. So give it a chance and see how it goes."
Benjamin is a little nervous to ask her out, but Bray's words bring him great confidence with a hopeful smile for when that happens.
"Ok, I'll give it a shot, I promise."
"Great, man," he smiles with a pat on the shoulder. "I'll be rooting for you two, and thanks for all you've done for her."
"Honestly, I don't think there's anything I wouldn't do for her already," he admits, making Bray grin. "Also, thank you too.... for everything you've done for me, for helping me out with her, and just... I guess for everything you do in general."
Bray grins even wider from that statement, even growing slightly bashful.
"Hey, it's always a pleasure," he shrugs before they clasp hands and a brotherly hug. "Let's make history tonight."
"Count on it."

The crowd becomes electric as the Archangel steps out. His face is painted, the jacket is on, gloves and kickpads are strapped up, and Daniel Dalton looks ready for war. He does his usual motion of raising his arms with a huge pyro setting off, kicking up the crowd's energy with it. He punches a fist in the air before making his way down the ramp, sharing a pre-match celebration with the audience as he goes. He stops once he reaches the ring, glancing up at the 20-foot cell hanging just inches above the ring. This will be his first-ever hell-in-a-cell match. A demonic structure that has both defined and shortened the careers of many who have entered its walls. Now, the Archangel is set to do battle in Satan's Playground with one of the most evil and twisted entities to ever set foot in a wrestling ring, The Fiend.
This will be a fight like no other for the Archangel.
He makes his way up the steps and climbs up the corner, once again raising his arms for the crowd before heading across and continuing to take in the electric audience. He continues hyping everyone up before he removes his jacket and warms up a little. The excitement within Daniel is replaced by a fire that could burn down an entire building. His eyes unleash the flames all the way toward the stage, waiting for the arrival of his opponent. Before long, his music is cut off and the lights begin to shut down. The fire in Daniel's eyes only increases with every second leading up to The Fiend's entrance, with every light becoming dark. Soon, the arena becomes pitch black and a much more horrifying theme begins to sound.

The very gates of hell itself appear to have opened as the red fog emits once again with those spine chilling calls from tortured souls sounding through the arena. Within the mist, those two shadowy figures arose, the lantern providing the only light within the darkness, shining brightly through the large and dimly lit room. Then, while stepping to each beat, Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss begin making their way down the ring. Their presence never fails to drive fear into the hearts of all who witness their physical appearance. It's like a chilling trance that puts everyone under a paralysis, unable to tear their eyes away.
Soon, The Fiend and his friend make it to the end of the ramp before stopping. Both kept their eyes on Daniel the entire walk, matching the daggers he stared with horror in their eyes. Then, while standing at the edge of the walkway, Bray peers up at the cell, admiring the familiarity of its design before raising his arms. As if he can control it, the cell starts lowering down on the ring. Daniel glances up to see the structure descending upon the ring he stands in, feeling his heart rate kick up as the unfamiliar territory begins surrounding him. The cell touches the ground as Dalton's eyes fall back on Bray, who stands right outside the open door. He hands the lantern to Alexa, who gleefully takes it to hold with both hands. The Fiend then enters the cage, shutting the door behind him with a menacing slam. The refs on the outside begin locking the door up as Bray moves to the stairs. He takes his sweet time, letting the eerie sense of his whole aura sink in for the Archangel. Step by step, he makes his way up the stairs and walks along the apron. He then hangs off the ropes for his upside-down gaze towards the crowd. He soaks in the massive reactions before pulling himself back up and entering the ring. The Fiend and the Archangel now stand across from each other, lights shining red all over the field of battle, both entities ready for the fight of their lives.
Hell in a Cell is on!
*DING DING!*
The bell rings. The match is underway! The Fiend and Daniel charge at each other to kick off the match. Dalton ducks under a clothesline before bouncing himself off the ropes. Then, by the time The Fiend turns to meet him, he's met with an Arkham Faith-Breaker!
Daniel rolls back to his feet, but The Fiend is still standing, unaffected by Daniel's finisher. He just stands there screaming with his arms out as Daniel and the audience grow completely stunned with utter shock. Bray attempts another knockdown, but Dalton again ducks under and goes to the ropes, looking for another Faith-Breaker. Only this time, he's bulldozed by Wyatt's running crossbody. The fans cringe at the harsh collision that seems to nearly shatter Daniel to pieces. He clutches his ribcage as he struggles to breathe afterward. He manages to reach his feet, but Wyatt pushes him into the corner, driving his shoulder into his ribs repeatedly, forcing the air out of his lungs. Bray follows it with a chopping uppercut before headbutting Daniel over and over again. Dalton is beaten into a seated position before Bray starts choking him. There isn't much the referee can do except plea as best as he can. Bray soon relinquishes his grip and paces across the ring. Daniel does his best to regain his breath but soon sees him charging at him with a running hip. The faster of the two just managed to slip under the ropes, causing the charging Fiend to clash hard with the turnbuckles. He seems to shake it off with ease as Daniel pulls himself up on the apron. Wyatt goes to knock him off, but he's suckered in and winds up hung up on the top rope. He clutches his throat as Daniel sees his chance. He springboards up, but Bray shoves him off and sends him flying back, granting him his first taste of the cell's steel. Daniel lands on the matted floor to where he isn't injured but still lands hard. The Fiend just stares down at him like a slasher from a horror movie. He then rolls out the ring to capitalize on his wounded prey, sending him crashing hard into the steel steps, or so he thought.
Daniel leap-frogs over the steps like a parkour artist as Bray rushes to catch him again, only for Dalton to jump off the steps again and send Wyatt into the steel cage with a meteora. That move manages to rock The Fiend. Daniel moves quickly to retrieve a weapon from under the ring, now taking things to the extreme. He grabs the first object he sees, a kendo stick for his weapon of choice, and lays into the sinister figure. The cracking sound of the Singapore Cane echoes with each collision to Wyatt's body. He even cracks it over his head; but somehow, that doesn't have any effect on The Fiend, only seeming to wake him back up. Dalton strikes him again with the cane, but Bray catches it and uses his power to drive Daniel back. He sends him all the way back to the other end of the cage with the kendo stick up against his throat. He slams him up against the cage until he is seated against the corner of it. Wyatt then hooks both ends of the cane into the cage, trapping Daniel in that position. Bray then moves back until he's at a far enough distance, almost to the opposite end of the cage. Then, he takes charge with one of the most vicious running hip attacks ever seen, breaking through the stick and smashing Daniel's head into the steel!
If the impact wasn't horrendous enough, Daniel now has a small cut on the side of his face from where the stick broke. Bray isn't done there as he moves back to the steel steps, pulling them out of place before raising them up. Daniel starts returning to his feet, using the cage wall for support. Bray starts moving closer with the steps, taking charge, and throws them right at his opponent! Daniel just barely avoids being crushed by the steps as they bounce off the cage wall with the sound of a car crash in progress. Dalton tries to crawl away at ringside while Bray just stalks him, lifting him up before bouncing his head off the ring apron, then off the cage, then back off the apron, and off the cage again! Over and over, Wyatt continues to bash around Daniel's head before mercifully returning him inside the ring.
Daniel is cupping his head while Wyatt moves back to the steps, lifting them up before placing them in the ring as well. He joins his opponent in the ring before lifting him up. Then, just like he once did with John Cena during their illustrious feud, Wyatt starts dancing around with the wounded, barely conscious Archangel, once again displaying his carefree yet psychotic nature. He soon stops with Daniel right by the steps, moving Daniel's arm over his head while keeping his own arm around Dalton's torso.
He's going to slam him on top of the steps with a uranage!
The Fiend looks off into the crowd, nothing but evil and murder in his eyes before raising up, but Dalton shifts into a DDT, driving Bray's head into the steps with a hard thud! Wyatt is slow to get to his feet, even crouching a little, which allows Daniel to swing over his shoulders and drive his head back into the steps with another DDT! The Fiend is dazed, he's hurt, and Daniel is rolling back to the apron. As soon as Wyatt stands up and faces the Angel, he springboards into a super Heaven's Light Codebreaker! Wyatt staggers way back, but is still on his feet somehow, albeit struggling to stay there. Daniel runs into a corkscrew dropkick that manages to send him through the ropes. Bray bounces back first off the apron but is still on his feet outside. Daniel still sees an opening, going off the ropes and diving through to send Bray into the steel with a suicide dive! Right off the bounce back, Daniel jumps right back inside, charges again to the ropes, and comes back for a second dive into the cage! He looks to repeat for a third, but once he dives through, he's caught by Wyatt and smashed into the cage with Sister Abigail!
Daniel staggers back before sliding down the LED board. He is dazed himself while The Fiend leans against the cage wall, clearly now feeling the effects of this hellish match against The Archangel. He shakes it off before raising Daniel up and whipping him toward the steel, but Dalton jumps up and clutches the cage! He then immediately starts to climb up the wall while Bray tries to catch him. Daniel kicks him back before climbing a little further.
What is he planning here?!
He peaks over his shoulder to ensure Wyatt is in place, then bounces himself off and moonsaults off the cage, taking down Wyatt! No one has ever done something like that in a hell in a cell match! The 'Holy Shit' chants begin sounding off with everyone on their feet. Replays of the breathtaking stunt display as both competitors begin reaching their feet. Daniel is the first to capitalize with a running knee strike, sending Bray back first into the ring post. He turns with daze as Daniel hits another running knee, this time sending him face first into the cage. Dalton then grabs his head and bounces it off the post again before sending Bray into the ring. Daniel follows him in, looking to stay on the attack, but Bray greets him with a massive clothesline. He follows it with his signature senton, nearly crushing the Archangel. As usual, right as Daniel seems to get some momentum going, Bray puts an abrupt stop to it. He now makes the first cover of this entire match.
"One... two..."
Dalton kicks out!
The fighting spirit of the Archangel is still going strong, but The Fiend just sits their with maniacal laughter, like he's glad he kicked out.
Bray now rolls to the outside as the audience begins chanting, "We Want Tables!"
He lifts up the curtain, searching for a weapon, but he doesn't pull out a table. Instead, he pulls out a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire!
The audience grows shocked and horrified all at once. This weapon of choice has not been seen in ages. Now it's in the hands of The Fiend?! Nothing good can come from this.
He slides back in the ring with the barbed wired chair and has his eyes on his prey, ready to make the kill. He stands up with the chair in hand, Daniel struggling to his feet. He makes it up to a knee for Bray to raise up the chair and smash it down, but Daniel catches it! Daniel is actually pushing the chair back in order to stand back up. Wyatt tries to persist, but the Archangel just keeps rising, a raging fire ignited and showing through gritted teeth while staring The Fiend dead in the eyes! Where is this coming from?! No one can believe what they're seeing from Daniel Dalton!
Finally, he kicks his leg up for a legal low blow! He swipes the chair away while Wyatt tries to stay on his feet. Miraculously, or perhaps by some unknown supernatural force, he manages to stay up and straighten himself up, only to receive a barb-wired chair shot right to the torso! He's crouched over again, vulnerable to a second shot right across the back. The Fiend is in pain. He's hurting now! He walks with his back bent inward while Daniel has the chair raised and ready, likely looking to nail him in the head this time.
However, instead, once The Fiend turns, Dan tosses the chair to Wyatt and a Heaven's Light with the barbed wire chair right to the face! Wyatt goes down and is actually writhing in pain! Daniel may have a chance as he makes a cover.
"One... tw-"
What?! Not even a two count?! Even after all of that?! It seems he still has a long way to go before he can keep The Fiend down.
Daniel quickly moves to the outside again, this time to grant the audience's request from earlier for a table. The fans grow ecstatic as he brings out the wooden furniture piece and slides it in the ring. They grow even more-so when he pulls out a more unexpected object: a latter to be exact. He moves inside the ring with the latter in hand and as Wyatt begins reaching his feet, he raises the latter and takes charge, ramming the top into the face of Bray Wyatt. Wyatt gets knocked back but is still on his feet somehow. Dalton then places the latter over his head and swings it like a helicopter blade, catching Wyatt in the head again and knocking him down.
Dalton moves the latter to one of the corners before setting it up for later. He then moves to where Bray rolled to after the collision. Unfortunately, that happens to be right by the steel steps, where Wyatt scoops him up and slams him on with a spinebuster! The fans grimace from the sickening thud that echoes, but it doesn't end there. Bray pulls him back up, this time for a uranage, and again slams him on the steel! Daniel screams in pure agony, unfathomable surges of pain coursing through his body. How his back isn't broken is anybody's guess.
The Fiend just stares down at him, huffing with disturbed pleasure over the suffering he is bringing this warrior of heaven. He then clasps down a mandible claw around the jaw of the Archangel. He pulls him off the steps while inflicting more pain. Daniel can barely stand already, but the mandible claw is making it impossible. Bray has him in the center of the ring, bent backward, and now perfectly positioned for the finishing blow: Sister Abigail.
He shouts for the crowd, signaling that this is the end, and lowers down to plant the kiss.
Wait, Daniel reaches up and clasps his hand around Bray's eyes. It's an Iron Claw! He's using his own claw, made famous by the Von Erichs, against The Fiend! Now, Bray is the one attempting to pull back, allowing Daniel to return to a vertical position, but he increases pressure, digging deeper and deeper. It isn't long before he releases the hold, only to surprise Wyatt with another Heaven's Light! Bray gets knocked back outside the ring, right by the cell door. Wasting no time, Daniel runs to the ropes right in front of Bray before rushing across to the other ropes and coming back for another, more massive suicide dive, sending Bray right through the cage door!
The door has been broken off, Bray and Daniel are out of the cell, and the audience is going ballistic! Not even the structure of hell can contain these two!
The two fierce rivals lay outside the cell for a moment as more HOLY SHIT and THIS IS AWESOME chants begin blending with each other. The latter of the chants becomes louder and more constant. There are roughly fifteen to seventeen thousand people in attendance for this night, and every last one of them is on their feet with the highest of energy for this epic, brutal match.
Slowly but surely, the two arch rivals begin to reach their feet again. As they regain their stance, Daniel grabs the door no longer attached to the cell, carrying it up and ramming it into Bray's ribs. Then, lifting it as best as he can, body slams it across the back of Bray. The Fiend is down again, rolling onto his back while Daniel keeps the door on him. He then starts climbing up the cell, as if things haven't been crazy enough. Everyone starts wondering what he is doing as he moves over the open entrance of the cell, swinging himself to where his back is against it while glaring down at The Fiend. Finally, he jumps off the cell and lands with a Coup Da Grace right on the steel door on top of Bray! A little homage to his mentor and the first man ever targeted by The Fiend, Finn Balor.
Dalton manages to land safely on the ground post impact, although he did hurt his back a little, but is all good nonetheless. He then moves the door off of Bray before trying to lift him back up. He glances up to see that Alexa is still there to view the whole match. She smiles and waves at him, but Daniel tries to stay focused, not wanting to lose this advantage he now has.
Suddenly, however, Bray springs back to life, sending Daniel head first into the steel. He then grabs him and positions him.... wait, no! Not out there!
Sister Abigail on the floor!
Daniel's body seethes in pain, twitching in such a frightening way to witness. He eventually stops, but his eyes remain wide as if in a state of shock. There is nothing but sheer horror displayed on the face of the Archangel. The fans are genuinely concerned for his well-being, especially since he is now bleeding from the top of his head on top of that cut on his cheek. Bray moves quickly to bring Daniel up, re-entering the cell with him before tossing him in the ring. Wyatt slithers his way into the ring before covering him. This has to be the end of it all.
"One... two... th-"
Daniel kicks out! Somehow, some way, the Archangel lives on! The Fiend looks legitimately shocked, something we don't normally see from him. Perhaps he just needs to land one final touch. He lifts him back up and positions him for one final Sister Abigail. This will be it for the Archangel.
Unless.....
Daniel flips back over for a surprise DDT into the mat! Wyatt is dazed again while Dalton struggles to regain himself after enduring what he suffered outside the cell. Bray tries to advance back on him, but Dalton grabs the nearby chair, still wrapped in barbed wire, and flings it right at Bray's face! Wyatt is knocked back and knocked even further when Daniel stands and throws it at him again! He just will not stay down, nor will he give up! Bray staggers back into the corner while Daniel sticks the wired chair to his head. Then, he rushes across to the ropes and, with the barbed wired chair stuck to Wyatt's head, nails him with the Archangel's Arrow! The chair falls off of Wyatt as he gets the wobbly knees. Daniel goes to the ropes again, this time nailing Wyatt with a second Arkham Faith-Breaker! Bray goes down, but Dalton doesn't go for the cover. Instead, he goes to the latter he set up earlier and starts climbing to the top. The audience is on their feet as he reaches the top, almost touching the ceiling of the cell. He positions himself on the correct side of the latter, making sure there's enough space between his head and the cell before raising his arms and launching himself off the latter! One of the biggest Angel Splashes ever made lands on Bray Wyatt! Daniel Dalton has done it!
"One... two... thr-"
A kick out?! Bray actually kicks out! Nobody, not in WWE or anywhere outside, has ever kicked out of an Angel Splash, let alone one off a latter! There is no humanly possible way for someone to kick out of that! Yet, somehow, The Fiend has managed to do the impossible.
The fans are stunned silent, none more than Dalton himself. To say that he is shocked doesn't even begin to cover it. Is it even possible to defeat The Fiend? Can Daniel Dalton even pull a miracle like this? It doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
He moves to sit on his knees, glaring at the referee, who reassured him it wasn't quite a three count. Daniel just can not comprehend that someone managed to kick out of the Angel Splash. He slowly rises back to a stance, wondering to himself what else he has to do in order to keep this guy down, assuming it's even possible. He paces down the ring a little before suddenly, Bray rises into his spider stance once again. No doubt he is just mocking his opponent now, even rubbing it in his face.
Unfortunately for Wyatt, whatever shock lies within Daniel has now turned into rage.
He picks the wired chair back up and just starts beating the unholy hell out of Bray with it. Just one merciless shot after another, not holding anything back. It does not matter how impossible it still seems. He will not stop until he finds a way.
Once he has grown tired of the chair, he tosses it outside, bouncing it off the cage. He then goes to the table he slid in earlier and starts setting it up. The audience's excitement returns to see what he has planned and how it will turn out. Once the table is set up, Daniel marches back over to Wyatt before lifting him back up and placing him on top of the table. He lays into him with some hard punches, ensuring he won't escape before going to the apron and climbing up the corner. However, he doesn't go for the Splash. Instead, he jumps over to the platform for one of the cell cameras. Everyone is on their feet again, witnessing just how crazy he is and the lengths he'll go to. He quickly raises his arms, dives and flips through the air, but Wyatt moves! Dalton goes crashing and burning through the table! Daniel rolls to his feet, incredibly, but is clutching his ribcage with agony. He turns and is caught by Bray.
A third Sister Abigail!
The Fiend immediately goes into the cover. Daniel has nothing to be ashamed of, gave it his all, but this match belongs to The Fiend.
"One... two... thre-"
Daniel kicks out at the very last millisecond! How is this happening?! The referee's hand was maybe an inch from touching the mat. He has gone through absolute hell and then some, but he still will not give in. Now, The Fiend is the one becoming shocked; some could even say frustrated and enraged, unfamiliar sights from The Fiend. He even gets up and starts getting in the referee's face, obviously frightening him, but what did it matter? The bottom line is that Daniel is fighting and pushing through harder than he has ever done before. This is a fight like none other either man has done before.
The Fiend returns his attention to the Archangel, seeing him just barely making it to his feet. The fact that he can stand alone is a miracle. He's tired, hurt, bruised, and bloody, but he is on his feet, wobbly, and as defiant as ever. He stares down with The Fiend, who is still in shock about what he is seeing. Daniel shakes his head at him before speaking as audibly as he can.
"You're not gonna beat me. I won't let you beat me! You think you can break me?! I. AM UNBREAKABLE!!!"
The fans grow loud as The Fiend angrily catches him again, positioning him again for Sister Abigail.
However, he stops when he glances up, and at the top of the latter, he sees Alexa Bliss. Not only is she sitting at the top of the latter, but she seems more of herself again. Not quite how she was before The Fiend, but definitely not like how she was earlier tonight, either. It's more like she is now a cross between those two, but with more of a light aura about her, a true goddess in all her glory.
The audience is stunned to see this while Bray stares at her with shock and confusion, not sure what to make of this. She raises her hand towards the two in a gentle manor, as if restoring something or someone. The Fiend incidentally releases the Archangel from his hold, paying no attention to him as he continues gazing up at Little Miss Bliss. At first, Alexa looks sorrowful but then transitions into a vengeful look directed right at The Fiend.
Then suddenly, Dalton comes off the ropes towards Bray and nails an Arkham Faith-Breaker! Bray staggers from the stunning impact, turning towards the entrance of the cell, but stays afoot. Daniel stays quick and relentless, springboarding off the middle rope for another Faith-Breaker! Wyatt drops to a knee but fights to keep his stance. Finally, Daniel comes off the ropes behind Bray, runs across to bounce off the opposite ropes, then goes back to the first ropes and back to the ones in front of Wyatt, building his momentum unlike ever before with the fans hyping up the charge, then lands the mightiest of all Arkham Faith-Breakers ever made! Wyatt flies off the mat before crashing down on it, no longer moving. With every fiber of strength he has left, Daniel crawls to cover his opponent.
"One... two... THREE!"
Daniel Dalton has conquered The Fiend!!!
The audience explodes out of their seats as Dalton is declared the winner and triumphantly pounds the mat and raises his arms in victory. The lights had returned to normal, at last, to reveal the true toll this match has taken on the young athlete. His body is bruised and drenched in sweat, his face paint has faded with blood dripping down his face, and he continues clutching his body from the absolute hell he has crawled through. Nevertheless, the Archangel fought his way out, he stayed strong, and he rose victorious.
The cell begins to lift up as Dalton remains crouched with his head on the mat. Eventually, he is helped up by the ref before getting his hand raised. The audience applauds for the amazing main event match put on and to the beautiful conclusion of a storyline felt by many. He soaks in the victory as much as he can before letting himself collapse again, this time on the bottom rope. He breathes hard to regain himself as much as he can, but grinning like an idiot through the pain after the match he's had. He then glances over to see the Goddess herself, now on the apron and smiling at him. Daniel grins from the sight, knowing what they had done for each other now before slowly crawling back up. Once there, he limps over to her, continuing to push himself proudly. He stands before her as they smile with gratitude for each other. Alexa nods her head to him, a way of thanking him for reminding her of who she is. In return, Daniel thanks her back by taking her hand and placing a tender kiss on the knuckle. The audience cheers and even whistles for the interaction, Bliss blushing a little from the gesture. Daniel then rolls out the ring and begins making his exit, celebrating with some of the front row fans along the way.
It is only then when The Fiend starts showing signs of life, rolling to his feet before locking eyes with his betrayer. Bliss remains defiant in her stance with an unwavering gaze. The Fiend can only stand there, alone with his anger, his utter defeat, and eventual vanquish. The lights shut off with Bliss and Wyatt in a staredown, and that is the closing shot of the show.
However, after the show comes to a close, a few spotlights shine on the three participants in this spectacular event. Bray Wyatt, in a rare moment, chooses to break character and remove his Fiend mask as the Fireflies come to life in the arena. Daniel remains on the stage, wanting to personally witness this moment, knowing it would be some time before Bray would be seen again. He also took into account the epic showdown they created in that ring, that Bray had just given him the match of his life, and went the extra mile to make him look like one of the best. He will always be grateful for that and always treasure this match forever. Daniel places a kiss on his two fingers before pounding his chest and pointing towards his good friend. Bray smiles as he pounds his own chest and points back at Dalton. He too is proud of what they have accomplished and what the future holds for them both after this night.
At this point, the audience begins to sing, He's Got the Whole World in His Hands. Bray laughs with glee as he drops to his knees with his arms out, welcoming this loving send-off from everyone. This won't be the last time we see him, and he will always have this connection with us.
