FLASHBACK,

Kunal and Karan both reached and saw her lifeless body lying there. One of them immediately took her to the hospital, not the one where she was earlier as it may risk her life again, while the other tried to chase the men but they failed as they were successful in escaping from there.

When Aadarsh's parents got to know about the accident, they were devastated. They were drowned in grief to lose their only child, their son and their daughter-in-law who was carrying their babies as well. Sunidhi didn't had parents as they left the world before they could see their daughter's marriage and her sister Shrestha, was in other country pursuing her studies. The cremation of both the bodies were done in their presence. Kunal didn't inform about the children and Guddan being alive making them think that they have passed away in the accident. Kunal sent them to London, where his parents were, he couldn't risk their lives as well even after knowing that the people were after the lives of newborns then how could they not harm the other family members. He knew they will be safe with his parents and they were the only persons who could support them as a family as they had no one besides them, afterall the both mothers were sisters.

Guddan was in a hospital which was specailised for the officers and their family. Guddan and the children was kept under high security. The children were still in NICU and Guddan's treatment was still going on. The doctors were losing hope witnessing her critical condition.

Doctor: Inki condition me koi improvement nahi huyi hai, ulta inki condition aur critical hoti ja rahi hai. Sar par bohot gehri chot lagi hai jiski wajah se ye ho raha hai aur pehle se hi unki mental health thik nahi thi jiski wajah se patient treatment ko respomd bhi nahi kar rahi hai.

Kunal: Aap log please kuchh kariye na, use kisi bhi tarah thik kar dijiye.

Doctor: Ham apni taraf se poori koshish kar rahe hai lekin jab patient treatment ko respond hi nahi kar raha hai to isme ham kuchh nahi kar sakte. Aur jis tarah inki condition aur deteriorate hoti ja rahi hi hai, aap meri baat maane to unhe Mumbai le jaaiye. Wahaan advanced equipment bhi hai aur more specialized doctors bhi jahaan inka treatment aur achhe se ho sakta hai.

Kunal agreed to it as it was the only option to save Guddan's life now. He did all the procedures required and shifted to Mumbai with Guddan and the children. He applied for his job transfer as well which was fortunately accepted.

After a few weeks of continuous treatments, Guddan was slowly responding to the treatment and was finally out of her critical condition but before anyone could be relieved with the information, she slipped into Coma.

Kunal, his wife, Karan- his brother and Revati were so devastated with the news. The doctors had no hope of her waking up anytime soon. It was being difficult for them to take care of the twins as well because Asmitha, his wife had to handle their one year old toddler as well and Revati wasn't able to handle the kids. As the twins were premature, they needed extra care and even the love of a mother which the two ladies weren't able to provide them even trying their best. They prayed for the well-being of Guddan even though knowing that she is so broken that she doesn't want to live anymore but the children are in need of her, her care, her affection, her warmth, her love.

A few months later, Guddan regained her consciousness making everyone happy but it didn't last long as she denied to recognise the twins whom they brought along with them to meet her. They even realised that she didn't remember many of the recent events happened before the accident. When consulted with the doctor, they were informed that she was suffering from 'Psychological Amnesia', a disorder where the person blocks out certain information, often associated with a stressful or traumatic event. She has gone through so much that it directly affected her mental health. She even didn't remember the accident which lead to the death of her sister like cousin and her brother-in-law who was no less than a brother for her. The truths were slowly disclosed not to cause her stress but it did. She was dealing with worse effects. The pain which her husband, her love has given to her was making it worse for her to handle. Even a long time has passed by but due to the condition she was going through it still seemed fresh to her as if she was wounded on the same wound before it could have healed.

It was then when Karan Ahuja proposed her for marriage. Even the doctors asked them to do her marriage so she could have someone she would need at this crucial stage of her life. Karan knew that she wanted someone by her side to support, to heal her and he was ready to be the person without demanding anything from the relationship, not even love for himself because he knew that even after the pain Akshat Jindal has caused her, she could never forget the love she has for him and he wouldn't even force her to do that. He was ready to give her all the time but she denied him. He was restless not because of her rejection but because she was enclosing her from the other people, from the other world and living in her own self without interacting more with others. He decided to give her some time so that she could decide for herself with a stable mind.

After she was somewhat stable, she remembered that the person who tried to kill Ahaan and Ahaana's parents knew about Ahaana being their daughter so she needed to hide her from the world. It was then she decided that Ahaana will no longer live together with them but individually away from the outside world so that they couldn't know about her and she would be safe. After few months, which is approximately after a year of her separation from Jindal's, her health was getting better so she decided to take up for a job and not be a burden on Kunal and Karan though they would never take her as so. She then decided to start a new life with a new identity and that was when she transformed herself to AK, Aliya Kapoor, from Guddan.

She prepared for an interview and was going to the place where it was going to be held but mistakenly, she entered the wrong office. It was where the auditions for a female lead was going on. She was about to return but she wanted to give it a try, after all it was her passion years back and this might be what God wants. She rehearsed the script and enacted it making them immediately take her into consideration. It was the show where Karan Singh was lead and all the other cast was selected but they couldn't find a perfect female lead and the instant Karan saw her audition video, he gave his opinion that she was the best they could get and ultimately she was finalised for the role. That was how her acting career started. But it was not as easy as it seemed to be.

She always messed up things, her scenes as well. She wasn't experienced to know how to enact them properly and at that time, Karan Singh was the best co-actor she could have ever asked for. He was so supportive towards her and even helped her to understand the scenes and enact them accordingly. He was always by her side teaching her about acting and even making her feel comfortable. Some scenes which demanded their physical closeness used to distress her but he comforted her in a way no one else could have ever done. Working with her, he realised that she had a horrible past which resulted in her emotional burst out most of the times. He asked her related to it but she always diverted the topic. He just wanted to be her friend whom she could express her pain to but she always distanced herself from him to avoid any interactions related to it and he was ready to give her the time she needed to be comfortable with him.

As time was passing by, their bonding grew as well. They were known to be the best friends pair in the whole industry but it was ruined immediately. As they were working together, rumours started spreading that they were dating each other and were in a relationship which hurt AK badly. She was already distressed because of her spoiled relationship with her husband and then everything which she was going through made it even worse for her. She decided to talk about it to Karan and when she went to him, he proposed her making her lose her control over herself. She bursted her anger on him and left the place without even solving everything between them instead ruining it. She didn't talk and ignored him to the fullest because of the incident. He didn't know where he went wrong. He just wanted her as his life partner. He didn't love her but liked her as she acquired all the characteristics he wanted his partner to possess. He knew somewhere her past would have affected this but he didn't care. He didn't care that she was a single mother, he didn't care if she had a horrible past, he just wanted her to be his present and future. Her rejection didn't hurt him as much as her ignorance did. So he decided to talk to her and make everything clear and then be back to friends again. He spoke to her and made her understand his view as well which she understood and realised that she overreacted and had to look into the matter before concluding anything. She understood that she was way more stupid to ruin her friendship because of a relationship which isn't even existing now. Everything was back to normal now, they were again back to be the best friends they were. She started growing in her career and did many shows. She wasn't the girl she was before, she has changed a lot and this change brought her success. But this change wasn't easy for her.

The first and foremost difficult task she had to handle was her personal life as a single mother. She usually spent most of her time with Ahaana as Ahaan would always have Revati or Asmitha to take care of him. She only left Ahaana when she was asleep. A care taker was there to look after her in AK's absence whom Kunal appointed as he knew that she was trustworthy. But as the children started growing they both needed their mother and it was then AK started finding it difficult for her to manage spending time with both the children and even managing her shooting schedule. But she tried to manage it efficiently and somewhere she succeeded it.

This was how she traveled the journey of being AK from Guddan. Some might have thought that it would have been easier for her as she came leaving behind a lot more relationships, a load of responsibilities and everything. Only if they knew she had to carry the most important relationship, of being a mother, to be more precise, a single mother. Only if they knew she had to carry a lot more responsibilities than before, a lot more accusations, a lot more difficulties, a load full of taunts from the society. Only if they knew what took her to control her emotions. She mastered the art of acting infront and behind the camera as well but could never master the art of controlling her emotions as they both are two different things. One can act out emotions they are not feeling but can't hide the ones they are feeling. She learned to put up a facade of happiness hiding her grief. She learned to mask her pain with a smile. She learned to practice doing things she had never done just for her children. She learned to be the best mother not by blood but by relation.

AK arrived at the venue where the party was going to be held. AJ who was receiving guests was shocked to find her in disheveled state. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun and strands were falling out of it. Her once sparkling white salwar kameez was now untidy with mud patches on it. Her left sleeve was slightly torn and the bruise could be seen through it. Blood was smeared around the torn part and seeing her face, one could easily tell that she had been crying for hours. Her face was dull and tear stained. He moved towards her and held her arm to examine the wound but left it as soon as she winced at the contact.

AJ: Kya hua hai tumhe? Aur ye kya haalat bana rakhi hai? Khoon beh raha hai aur tum ho ki.... Idhar aao, mai first aid kar deta hun.

He spoke worriedly but she paid no heed to him. She had much more important works to handle right now.

AK: Mujhe kuchh nahi karana. Aap mujhe ye bataiye ki Karan aaya hai kya?

Her words hurt him and he was unknown of the reason. She didn't want him but some other person to comfort her, to heal her and the thought itself made him restless.

AJ: Wo Ahaan ke saath hai.

He replied uninterested but his words made her realise that he was speaking about her co-actor and not the one whom she was looking for.

AK: Mai uske baare me nahi pooch rahi thi....... Khair aap rehne dijiye, mai khud dekh leti hun.

AJ: Tum pehle first aid karao aur jaldi se party ke liye ready ho jao, bachhe kab se tumhara wait kar rahe hai.

AK: Wo sab baad me ho jaayega, abhi mujhe bohot important kaam hai.

She spoke dialing Karan Ahuja's number but he didn't receive her call.

AJ: Bachhon se zyaada kya important kaam hai tumhe? Ek to subah se thi nahi aur ab jab aayi ho tab bhi kaam hi karna hai tumhe. Isse achha to aati hi nahi tum party me.

AK: Aap ko kya pata kya chal raha hai meri zindagi me jo kuchh bhi bole ja rahe hai. Ha hun mai busy, kaam karne hai aur mere bachhe bhi important hai mere liye lekin iska matlab ye nahi ki mai bachhon ke saath 24 ghante rahun. Kuchh kaam unke liye karna bhi zaroori hota hai. Waise mai aapko ye sab kyun bata rahi hun, aapko to kuchh farak nahi padega aur waise bhi ye sab to aap hi ki wajah se ho raha hai.

AJ: Tum mujhe kyun blame kar rahi ho? Mai to jaanta bhi nahi hun ki kya ho raha hai aur tum ye keh rahi ho ki ye sab maine hi kiya hai, Unbelievable!

AK: Aap.... Rehne dijiye. Mujhe aapse abhi koi behes hi nahi karni. Aise hi aadha dimaag kharaab ho chuka hai mera.

AJ: Tumhara aadha nahi poora hi dimaag kharaab hai. Jaa kar pehle uska ilaaj kara lo.

AK: Dimaag to kharaab hai hi mera, aur kyun na hota, jab insaan ka dil tootta hai na to saath me uska dimaag bhi kharaab ho jaata hai jaisa ki mere saath hua hai. Aur in sab ki wajah bhi aap hi hai.

AJ: Maine kya.....

AK showed her palm to stop him and moved towards Kunal who was speaking to his team members whom he has appointed for security in the event. AJ too followed her to give her some piece of mind regarding her assumptions about him.

AK: Bhai!

Kunal: Chhoti! Ye kya hua hai tujhe? Aur kahaan thi tu itni der se hai? Tera phone bhi unreachable bata raha tha.

AK: Bhai, Karan kahaan hai? Mera phone kyun nahi receive kar raha hai?

Instead of answering his questions she questioned him making AJ shake his head in disbelief. 'This girl will never change', he thought as if he knew her since ages, which he actually did.

Kunal: Wo to Ahaan.... Ahaan ke liye gifts lene gaya hai.

He was about to say that he was with Ahaana but seeing AJ with her, he lied.

AK: Bhai aap mere saath chaliye mujhe bohot zaroori baat karni hai.

Kunal: Chhoti, ham baad me baat kar lenge tu pehle ready ho jaa, guests bhi aane lage hai. Mai tere room me medical staff ko bhejta hun wo ise bandage kar denge.

AK: Bhai aap samajh nahi rahe hai.....

Ahaan: Mumma!!!

Ahaan and Arya came running towards her along with Karan Singh, instantly bringing a smile on her face, a sad smile.

Ahaan: Mumma aap late ho, aur abhi tak aap ready bhi nahi huye hai.

Arya: Ha Angel, aapko apni princess ki birthday party par sab se pehle ready hona tha aur aap sab se late hai. Not fair!

Tears filled in her eyes listening to their love filled complaints but she controlled herself. She didn't know for how long will she able to receive the same love from her children. The turn of events in her life never let her be happy for longer time. The wheel of time always stops at the time which gives her immense pain and grief and now that was going to happen soon. She couldn't even be happy on the day when she would be with her daughter on her birthday for the first time in the fear of losing someone, someone close to her.

I hope I am not making you all bored with the flashback scenes but it's much needed. Some of the readers are saying that AK had enough of her drama and now she should end it after she had found out that AJ loves her but let me clear that she is not doing all just to put up an act, she has reasons behind it. And one of the reasons is her miserable past. She had to bear so much to become AK from Guddan, it wasn't just simple and just changing her name. So this chapter was for them who think so low about AK's character. I hope things would be clear now.
