Chapter 50

Karan A: Why are you doing this? Kyun bacha rahi ho AJ ko? Bhool gayi kya ki unhone 6 saal pehle tumhare saath kya kiya tha?

He roared at her as her eyes went wide in horror as she was afraid if he would spill the truth about her.

AK: Stop it! Will you?

Karan A: No, I won't. Kya karogi tum? Can't you just believe that he is the one who tried to kill you?

AK: No, I won't.

Karan A: Kyun?

Even though she knew that AJ was busy that time, she would never think that he was the one even if she wouldn't have seen him in that room. She knew that he will never hurt her, killing was something far away.

AK: Because I trust him.

She confessed shocking AJ and the brothers as well. They never thought that she would be able to trust him ever after what he has done.

Karan A: Best of luck kyunki atlast tum aur tumhara ye bharosa donon hi tootne wale hai, again. Just because of him.

Kunal: Karan, tum headquarters waapas jao, I will be there in a while.

Karan A: No Bhai, not again, please.

Kunal: Karan, I said leave.

He ordered him and he had no other option than to leave obeying his brother's orders not only because he was his elder brother but also his senior too.

AK left to her room not being able to think of what would have happened if  would have revealed everything.

Revati was about to follow her but Kunal stopped saying that he would talk to her.

Kunal: Chhoti....

He called her out as he entered behind her in the room while she started throwing all the stuff to withdraw her anger.

Kunal: Chhoti, baat sun meri....

He moved forward to hold her but she jerked his hand away.

AK: Kyun? Kyun? Kyun?

She yelled and throwed all the things present on the side table and her gaze fall on the photo frame which was about to fall but she held it. It was the photo of AJ and Arya in which she was kissing his cheek and a light smile playing on his lips. She placed it back reminding herself that it was AJ's room and not hers.

Kunal: Shaant ho ja. Kuchh nahi hua hai, abhi Karan ne kuchh nahi bataya hai, Ok.

AK: Koi mujhe kyun nahi samajhta, Bhai? Kyun?

She asked in a low voice as she sat on the floor hugging her knees and crying. Kunal too sat next to her and placed her head on his shoulder and gently stroking it.

AK: Wo hamesha mujhe sach batane ke liye force karta hai. Use kya lagta hai ki mere liye sab aasan hai, nahi hai. Mai ye sab khushi khushi thodi na kar rahi hun, meri bhi majboori hai. Ye baat use samajhna chahiye na.

Kunal: Koi tumhe force nahi karega, ok. Mai baat karunga Karan se. Lekin ek na ek din is sach ko bahar aana hi hai na.

AK: Lekin ye sahi waqt nahi hai na, Bhai. Aap to sab jaante hai ki ye sab kyun ho raha hai aur me ye sab kyun kar rahi hun aur Karan bhi jaanta hai lekin wo samajhta kyun nahi hai? Wo Ahaana ke baare me bhi sab ko batane ke liye keh raha tha, aap jaante hai na ki uski jaan ko khatra hai to mai kaise ye sach baahar aane dun?

Kunal: Chhoti, tujhe kisi ke bhi dabaav me aa kar sach bolne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Jab sahi waqt aayega ham sab sach batayenge. Aur isme mai tere saath hun.

AK: Sachhi?

Kunal: Haa. Ab tu is baare me soch kar tension mat le.

AK: Lekin Bhai.....

Kunal: Wo sab chhod, mujhe tujhse kuchh zaroori baat poochna hai. Tu mujhe ye bata ki kya tu sach me phir se AJ se.... mera matlab tu ne neeche jo kaha.....

AK: Bhai, wo...

Kunal: Tujhe kuchh pata chala hai case ke baare me? Koi baat hai?

AK nodded her head while he looked at her expectantly for an answer.

AK: Wo Arya..... meri aur Mr. Jindal ki beti hai.

She spilled out the truth to him looking at her own hands not able to meet his gaze.

Kunal: Kya? Lekin kaise? Arya to..... aur tu ne kaha tha ki wo Antara ki.....

AK: Bhai please, us ka naam meri beti ke saath mat jodiye. Mai jaanti hun ki mai khud ye sochti thi lekin sach jaanne ke baad mujhse ye sab aur nahi suna jaa raha hai. Aur wo sab mujhe kaise pata chala aur kaise hua mai aapko baad me bataungi lekin abhi ke liye aap ka itna jaanna zaroori hai ki is case se Mr. Jindal ka koi lena dena nahi hai. Wo in sab me bilkul bhi involved nahi hai. Unhone kuchh nahi kiya hai.

Kunal: Are you sure?

AK nodded her head assuring his doubts.

AK: Aap please Karan ko bhi ye sab bata dijiye, warna wo phir....

She held her head as a sharp pain shot through her head.

Kunal: Chhoti, kya hua? Tu thik hai na?

He stood up and made her sit on the bed immediately noticing her change of expressions. He passed a glass of water to her but she didn't drink it.

Kunal: Revati!!!

He yelled in his loud voice startling everyone present in the house. They rushed to the room where they could see him trying to ease AK.

Revati: Bhai?

Kunal: Medicines kahaan hai iske?

Revati: Ek minute.....

She looked around to find the medicine but AJ found it on the side table and passed it to her as he already saw it when he was in the room before. Kunal made her had her medicines and made her lay down on the bed. He was about to leave asking her to rest but she held his hand trying to say him something but was quiet because of everyone's presence.

She just mumbled "Ahaana" in a low voice making him nod his head with a smile.

Kunal: I will take care of her, don't worry.

AK always made sure that she spends atleast a few minutes of the day with Ahaana. It was the rarest times that she doesn't meet her at all in a day. And the turn of events from the few days was giving her very little time for her to be with Ahaana and now after the almost fatal accident she had yesterday, she needs complete rest and no one would allow her to meet by leaving the house nor she could bring her to herself because of the threat to her life. These times it was Karan Ahuja who handled Ahaana but as she couldn't talk to him now, she pleaded Kunal to do it for her. They had been the best persons to help her in every possible way.

Kunal just patted her head and left the room not before glancing at a concerned AJ. He somewhere started to feel that AJ is behaving the same way he behaved with Guddan. And about AK, she has changed a lot during these 6 years. The girl who used to blurt out everything without thinking twice now thinks a 100 times before speaking a few words which has caused her mental health to deteriorate. She was the girl whose stomach would ache just with hiding a single truth now has lot of hidden treasures buried inside her. She had a lot of priorities and couldn't even number them as all held equal importance to her. Those priorities never include herself. She always thinks about others before her especially about Ahaan and Ahaana. They are her world, her life because of whom she is alive till date or she would have died years ago not having any purpose of living.

NEXT DAY,

AJ was in the room which was half burnt now. He looked at the dark walls which resembled his dark life. Tears rolled down through his eyes looking at the condition of the once colourful room. Everything was blackened just within a few minutes just like his life experienced it few years ago. He made it build for his love, for his wife, who never knew about it nor did ever saw it but still he was contented with the memories of her which made him built the room. He always held a hope that one day they would create their own memories here but looking at the current situation of the room he almost lost the hope. Almost, until he felt a hand on his shoulder.

He hastily wiped his tears and turned to find the person he was least expecting, AK.

AK: Itna special tha ye room aapke liye?

He looked into her eyes that weren't questioning him but looking at him expectantly, maybe to hear what she is assuming, to hear which would make her feel special, feel elated, feel loved. He nodded with a smile looking back at the room, tearing his gaze from her deep eyes. Disheartened with just a nod with a smile as his answer she continued to ask him further.

AK: To aapne ise hame kyun de diya?

He looked back at her as he remembered the day she entered this house and was ordering him and everyone around. He wondered if she was the same girl who is standing infront of him right now or she has somewhere lost her memory.

AJ: Yaad nahi hai tumhe? Tum hi to zid kar rahi thi.

His mind replied to her because his heart wasn't contented with the answer as it wasn't the truth. His heart believed that she was the same person for whom this room was built for, because of whom it is there now and now only she could have coloured this barren room with her mere presence.

AK: Ab meri har zid poori karni to zaroori nahi thi aapko.

He looked at her shocked if she was the same girl whom he met a few weeks ago.

AK: Ab jo hua use to ham badal nahi sakte lekin jo bigda hai use thik zaroor kar sakte hai, bilkul pehle ki tarah. Ya phir, pehle se bhi zyaada khoobsurat.

She said turning on a coloured lamp on the side table which filled the room with its vibrant colours. While her words, ignited the almost losing hope in his heart.

AK: Bas thoda waqt, thoda sabr, thodi mehnat aur bohot saare pyaar ki zaroorat hai.

Her words illuminated the darkened part of his heart, his life. He didn't knew if her words were directed towards the room's condition or his heart but his heart knew that it belonged to it, her words, her love and she herself.

He couldn't help but a gracious smile adorned his lips on her words. He knew that once again his life would be full of colors, full of light, full of love. She looked at his breath-taking beautiful smiling face and left the room with a smile playing on her lips. Though, she didn't receive any of the loving words she was expecting from him, she was glad that a few words from her brought a smile on his face.

AK: I just don't care! Mujhe bas itna pata hai ki ek hafte me Ahaan ka birthday hai aur mujhe us din wo banquet hall book karna hai.

She yelled on the phone as she was on a call with her assistant, Rajiv. He informed her that the hall was pre-booked by someone else on the same day as Ahaan's birthday and the manager was denying to cancel their booking and book for AK instead.

AK: Tell them that I will pay double the amount but I want the hall booked for me at any cost.

He again denied her saying that the other person has booked it for every year on some specific days and one among them was the day next week. He suggested her that he will book an other hall for the birthday celebration but she denied it.

AK: Mujhe usi hall ki booking chahiye matlab chahiye. No more discussions further!

She announced while her assistant spoke to the manager for any other way. He informed that there is only one option if the other person cancels the booking himself. She ordered him to talk to that person and make him agree to cancel the booking for her. She was even ready to pay him for that.

AJ: No way, I am going to cancel it. I don't care if she is an actress or a politician, she can't influence her power on me.

AJ got a call from the manager of the hall he has booked for Arya's birthday. He was asking him to cancel the booking as some actress wants to book it for her son's birthday. But AJ was too adamant on his decision that he won't cancel the booking at any cost. He was enraged even more when he got to know that she would pay him for cancelling the booking. He wondered if  he seemed as someone who could be influenced by money.

Knowing the answer from AJ, Rajiv called AK to inform her that the person wasn't ready to cancel the booking. She asked him his name so that she could personally speak to him while the manager informed AJ that it's none other than AK who want the booking for her son's birthday who is none other than Ahaan.

AK: Mr. Jindal?

AJ: Ms. Kapoor?

They both said at once shocked as they looked into each other's eyes. AK was entering AJ's room while he was exiting  the same room as he came to take some of his stuff.

They hung the call and looked at each other nervously trying to initiate the conversation.

AK: Wo.... wo aap hi hai jisne hall booking kar rakhi hai?

AJ: Matlab wo tum ho jise wo hall chahiye?

AK: Dekhiye, aap please uski booking cancel kar dijiye, kyunki wo mujhe us din kisi bhi haal me chahiye. I do......

AJ: Listen, I am not gonna do that. Agar itna hi important hai to tum kisi aur banquet ki booking kar lo kyunki that day is important for me too.

AK: Aap faaltu me mujh se jhagda mat kariye. Maine kaha na...

AJ: Jhagda? Tum ne hi shuru kiya hai ye. Aur kya haan? Tum mujhe paise dena chahti thi? How dare you think about me like that?

AK: Mujhe nahi pata tha ki wo aap hai isiliye maine wo kaha. Aur ek din ki hi to baat hai aap bhi to kahin aur party kar sakte hai.

AJ: Agar wo mujhse related kuchh hota to mai compromise kar leta lekin it's Arya's birthday and I won't compromise for that in any situation.

AK: Haa to mai bhi apne liye nahi kar rahi, Ahaan ka birthday hai isiliye mai bhi...

She spoke hurriedly enraged from the fact that he wasn't agreeing to her without realising what he said. She stopped midway as she slowly understood his words.

AK: Ek minute, kya kaha aapne? Arya ka birthday?

He nodded amusingly as he realised that it was Ahaan's birthday on the same day as well.

AK: Next week? On the same day?

He nodded again as she drifted into her thoughts. At one hand, she was happy that her daughter shared the same birthdate as Ahaan and Ahaana but she was confused as how it was Arya's birthday. Because as per the calculations it was way early for her birth.

AK: Is Arya premature?

She asked him making him frown on her question.

AJ: No. Tumne ye kyun poocha?

She now understood that Arya was indeed premature but they didn't know about it as Durga's pregnancy was few months ahead of hers. So they might have assumed that Arya wasn't premature but she actually was.

AJ: Hello... kahaan kho gayi?

He brought her out of her trance snapping his fingers infront of her.

AK: Huhh... kuchh nahi...  wo bas aise hi.... matlab Ahaan aur Arya ka birthday same hai. To phir ek hi party rakhte hai na.

She presented her idea infront of him praying that he accepts it because she wanted to be with her daughter in this birthday of hers as she doesn't know if she could be there with her in future or not.

AJ: Ok. Kyunki jab un donon ko ye pata chalega to wo ek doosre ke bina to celebrate nahi karenge.

AK: Thanks. Aur ye mere taraf se hoga.

AJ: No ways....

AK: Please mana mat kariye. Pata nahi phir mujhe ye mauka mile ya nahi. Ye Arya ke saath pehla birthday hai aur shayad last bhi ho sakta hai, I don't know, so please....

AJ: Jis tarah tumhara Arya ke saath ye pehla hai, mera bhi to Ahaan ke saath pehla birthday hai na, to mai kyun peeche hatun.

AK: Please ....

AJ: No. We will equally be involved in every aspect. Ham donon saath mil kar karenge. If not then I am alone gonn.....

AK: Nahi, nahi..... ham donon hi karenge.

AJ: Ok.

AK started planning how to make this birthday party special with her children who shared the same birthdate.
