Side Story Finale

A/N ok, this is the last chapter in the Side Stories series. Enjoy!

Stacy's POV

I was riding Henrietta, my horse, with Parker. We were on our way to the Mgnaniel Gang's location, and Parker had something to tell me.

"Stace, I have to tell you something." He said.

"What is it Parker?" I asked.

"Um, Stacy... I-" That's when we got ambushed. A group of five men covered in black held guns to our heads, demanding us for all our money. I handed him my twenty four gold pieces, and Parker handed him his ten gold pieces. Before they left, something hit my head, and everything went black.

"Parker?" I groaned, clutching my head. The sun beat down on my face, which was sweating from the horrible heat. I looked around the Mesa, when I noticed something.

It was quiet... Too quiet...

"Parker!?" I asked more worried. Sure enough, Parker was no where to be seen. I started to worry. What if those men were part of the Mgnaniel Gang? I mean, Parker did kill the past leader by pulling the lever, and now the leader's son, Lenny, wants revenge. The thought of it all sickened me. I quickly got up.

"Parker, this isn't funny!" I yelled, dusting myself off. I waited for his goofy laugh to come out, but it never did. I started to freak out like crazy.

"PARKER!" I screamed into the canyons of the Mesa. Nothing. I put my hands on the sides of my head.

"What do I do, what do I do?" I asked myself. All of a sudden, something in me told me.

Find him... Find Parker... It said. And I listened.

I looked up and walked to Henrietta, and as if something had possessed me, I rode her, running towards the sun. I had no idea where to start, so I rode towards the sun.

--------------

After a whole day of riding, I stopped in front of the opening of a cave.

"He's in here, I can feel it Henrietta." I said, jumping off. I tied up my horse and carefully walked in. The cave was dark, so I pulled out my torch, carrying it with me as I went. Soon enough, I saw a huge opening underground as I looked around. I saw a small house... And it looked as if it was built out of red. I squinted and looked more closely to see what it really was. Then, I realized why it looked so familiar.

"TNT.... A house built of TNT..." I muttered. Then, everything made sense.

The huge order of TNT... The revenge against Parker... Everything...

"Parker!?" I yelled, running to the building.

"Stacy!?" I heard his familiar voice. I felt my breath getting caught in between my running, because the voice came from inside the small building.

"Stacy, don't-" I heard a blast echo throughout the cave, and I was blown back. Literally. My back hit the wall of the cave and I felt woozy, but I stood up, knowing if I didn't, I would be stuck.

"PARKER!" I yelled, looking around the cave. I noticed that rocks from the roof were falling, and if I didn't get out of here soon, I'd be stuck. I ran out of the opening, until I noticed some sunlight. I took one last glance at the cave before running out. I took Henrietta's lead and pulled her away from the cave opening. I saw rocks fall onto the opening, blocking the only way out. I gasped and fell to my knees, my breath stopping and my heart pounding. I could feel myself break into pieces as Henrietta nuzzled me, as if she was asking what happened.

"Parker... Wh-why did it have to be you?" I mumbled, feeling tears cool off my face as they traveled down my cheeks, onto my chin, dropping onto the rocky floor. I was officially crying. Over Parker's death. Yup, that was happening. I wiped my tears and felt a hand on my shoulder.

"If this is a bandit, I'm going to kill you." I growled, mad when I realized it was all their fault Parker was gone. I heard a chuckle.

"Now Stace, I would expect something a little nicer. I mean, I did save your life on that train after all. You owe me." Said the voice. I gasped a little inside.

"P-Parker?" I asked, turning around to make sure it was him.

"The one and only." He said, smirking. I opened my mouth in surprise. He opened his mouth to say something, but before he did, I punched his shoulder.

"Ow!" He said, clutching his shoulder.

"Why would you ever scare me like that you jerk!" I said, frowning.

"I'm sorry, I-" I interrupted him by hugging him, my hands around him. He hugged me back. I sighed and smirked.

"How did you escape?" I asked, still shocked that it happened. He smiled.

"Harry Houdini." He replied. I stared at him.

"The escape artist?" I asked. He nodded.

"I had always wanted to be like him before I joined the force, so I took classes on escape. I quit because I joined the force. Luckily, the classes proved useful, don't you think?" I narrowed my eyes at him and nodded. I let go of him, noticing we were still in each other's embrace.

"So, what were you going to tell me? I mean, before you we were ambushed." I asked, tilting my head. He took a deep breath, and for some reason unknown to me, his cheeks turned slightly red.

"Oh, about that... Ugh, I don't know how I'm going to say this... Um Stace?" He said. I smirked rolling my eyes while I crossed my arms.

"Yeah, Parker?" I asked.

"I-I... I think I'm in love with you...." He mumbled. My smirk dropped as what he just said came in slowly.

"What?" I asked, even thought knew already.

"I think I'm in love with you." He said, more confident. It was my turn to get my face turning red.

"Y-you do?" I asked, dumbfounded. He nodded.

"Mmhmm." He said. I got really nervous because I guess it was my turn.

"So... Um, you remember those nightmares we had at Lizzie's tent?" I asked. He nodded.

"Well, to be honest I had the same dream, and I chose to shoot myself for you." I said. His eyes widened.

"Why?" He asked. I sighed.

"Because, Parker. I think I love you too." I said quietly. He smirked.

"Really?" He asked. I nodded. I suddenly realized how close our faces were.

"So... Now what?" I asked, not moving. He narrowed his eyes.

"I... Have no idea." He admitted, looking into my eyes.

"Well, I think I do." I said. I stood on my tiptoes and pressed my lips against his, bringing my arms around his neck. Parker at first didn't do anything, but then, he kissed me back, hugging my waist. It went on forever, and I pulled away.

"Actually I don't think I love you anymore..." He said, breaking my heart.

"I know I love you." He said, raising my spirits.

"Ditto." I said. This time, it was his turn to kiss me. I smiled as we kissed. It felt amazing, and I think I have no doubt when I say this.

I'm in love with Parker.
