Nether Kiss (In between episodes)

A/N Not saying anything except that it's time to get our Laurnie on!

After I finished explaining to Cadenza, and she hugged me twenty times, I left.

I can't go insane... I don't want to! I need someone to help me through this besides Garroth, but who?!

My thoughts immediately went to the long red headed boy who was most likely in love with me.

Can I... Save him?

I don't know what came over me, but whatever it was pulled me into the forest.

I couldn't stop, it was as if a magickal force was dragging me inside.

"H-HELP!" I tried yelling, but it came out as a loud whisper. Then, I finally stopped... In front of a fully built obsidian portal. It wasn't open, but I felt a strange feeling in my hands. I looked at them, and back at the portal.

3rd POV

Zenix had to be extra quiet hiding behind a tree. He watched Melanie flail her arms toward the portal, causing a wave of energy to form. The portal opened, and Melanie didn't hesitate to walk in. Zenix followed her. He wasn't about to risk fighting Garroth again just so he could kill Aphmau and open the portal himself. So, he used a potion on Melanie, and it caused her to be dragged wherever Zenix went. Melanie was special, and her magicks were strong enough to open a Nether portal without a sacrifice.

Melanie's POV

As I ran through the portal, stabbing Shadow Knights on my way, I noticed the huge nether brick tower and ran to it.

Maybe Laurence will be in there... I thought.

After stabbing the Shadow Knight guarding the door, I walked in, and saw Laurence in a cage, sitting down in the corner. He looked awful. His red hair covered his eyes, which had been darkened, more then normal. I couldn't stand to see him like this.

"Laurence! Psst!" I whispered. He looked up, and his eyes widened.

"Melanie?! What are you doing here?" Laurence asked. I shushed him, knocking off the chain with my sword. Then, I untied the ropes on his hands, and pulled him out.

"Laurence, we have to go right now, or else-"

Laurence stopped, and my hand went from his arm to his hand. He quickly pulled me closer to him, and pressed his lips against mine. I widened my eyes. I've never kissed anyone in my life.

So this is what it felt like. It's amazing.

I kissed him back, my arms snaking around to his neck. His arms wrapped around my waist, pressing me closer to his body as he deepened the kiss. I held onto him, and smiled. His lips were warm and soft, and as I kissed him I felt safe.

Too bad that feeling was gone very quickly.

A different feeling stabbed into my gut, and I pulled away fast, gasping. Laurence's eyes widened, and he looked around frantically. I knew that look. He was searching for a weapon. I felt my heart pounding, and it felt as if it would jump out of my chest. The stabbing pain in my gut escalated quickly, and it hurt worse. Then, the pain moved to my chest, and each breath I took turned into a pounding pain instead.

I don't know what was happening, but it hurt like the Nether. I let out a loud, but small whimper, and fell to the ground on my knees, causing Laurence to look at me and search faster. I was slowly crippling down with my hands wrapped around myself, trying to get rid of the pain. Laurence got ahold of a stone sword, and whispered something into my ear, letting me feel his warm breath on my ear.

"I'm really sorry, Melanie. But there's no way I will ever let you become like me. And for me to stop that... This is gonna hurt." He said. Then, an even worse pain surrounded the rims of my body. It felt as if he was trying to carve something off of me. I yelled out in pain, and felt Laurence pick me up bridal style, pressing me close to him. I could no longer bear the pain and started to slowly lose consciousness...

---------------------------------

My eyes slowly opened, and I saw a white light.

"A-am I dead?" I thought.

"Nope, but if it makes you feel better, I'm glad your not." A familiar voice said. I sat up quickly, and turned my head.

Garroth was there and his helm was off so I know what that meant. Kawaii Chan and Cadenza were there, too.

"Melanie, you're ok!" Cried Cadenza, hugging me.

"Listen, I appreciate you trying to keep your secrets, but don't ever do that again." She said, pulling away. I nodded, and Garroth cleared his throat.

Damn it, now I'm in for it... I thought, turning to face him.

"Care to tell me why you went to the Nether?" He asked. I looked down.

" Garroth, I was walking through the forest, and some sort of force pulled me in. Then, I saw a Nether portal fully built, so I decided to at least try and open it."

"Wait, you're telling me you saw a nether portal out in the open, with no security?" Asked Garroth. I nodded.

"You saw it... Right? Wait, how did I get here? What was that pain? Where's-WHERES LAURENCE?!" I cried, standing up. Kawaii Chan pushed me back into the bed.

"Melanie Chan must stay in bed! If she does, Kawaii Chan will let Garroth Kun explain." She said. I needed an explanation, so I stayed in bed.

"You see, I was looking for you. No one had seen you all day. So, I went to the forest to find you... And saw the Nether portal. Fearing the worst, I ran in, and looked around for you. Laurence was there, carrying you. You had a streak of black hair on your head, and Laurence explained to me that a Shadow Soul was trying to replace your soul with his. Laurence was able to carve it away so you didn't become a Shadow Knight, but the pain was too much for you, so you blacked out." Garroth said.

"Go on, Garroth Kun. Explain the rest." Ordered Kawaii Chan. Even Cadenza was listening in interest.

"But just because he had carven out the Shadow Soul didn't mean you were free of danger. You were slowly becoming darkness, and if the transformation was complete, you would be dead, your body nothing but pure darkness. That's when he gave you to me, and stayed behind so he could hold back the Shadow Knights. I had heard of the transformation before, so I know how to get rid of it. It involves a Hazel Mist potion, and I know how to make one. So, I had the supplies sent here so I could save you. Melanie, you've been unconscious for about three days now. Another four and you'd be gone." He said.

Three days!? I thought.

"Yeah, three days." Said Cadenza. I hadn't realized I said that out loud.

"Melanie, we can get you help with your magicks. I know that's the reason you left to find Laurence." Said Garroth.

"I'm fine, Garroth." I ensured him.

"Ok, fine. But I'm not leaving your side." He said. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head.

"That's up to you, Garroth." I said.

"I mean it. I just learned your my twin, and I'm not about to lose you." He said.

"Melanie Chan and Garroth Kun are twins? Well, Kawaii Chan should've known..." Said Cadenza. I smirked.

"You know, that black streak of hair in your head makes you look really cool." Said Cadenza. I got up, and looked in a mirror.

"Oh, it's still there?" I wondered aloud.

"Yeah, and thanks to you, I had to kill a squid, and use its ink on my hair. Being identical twins for life has its downs." I turned, having not noticed that Garroth also died a piece of his hair black. I smirked.

"Aw! You're such a great brother." I said, punching his arm.

The rest of the day, Garroth stood by my side. And I didn't complain. It felt nice to have some company for once.
