Melanie's POV

Garroth had allowed me to come to the new guard tower today. I sat next to the window, watching the ship's sails flap through the wind and the sun rising when Aphmau came in, a smile on her face.

"Hey guys! Katleyn has made you all some new guard uniforms!" She cried. I looked down at my old uniform.

I could use something new...

"Thank you Aphmau. We will try them on." Laurence said, grabbing the backpack from Aphmau. We all walked down to the guard dormitories and tried them on.

I looked in my mirror, smiling at my new uniform. The silver chainmail armor clashed well with the light blue cape.

Then, I walked out the door, seeing Garroth, Laurence and Dante in their armor as well.

"These are nice-wait... HOW LONG HAVE WE TAKEN?!?!" Asked Dante, biting his lip.

"It's been over a half hour, Aphmau is waiting for us!" Garroth cried. We ran to the new guard tower as fast as we could.

"Finally! You guys took forever! And you look AWSOME!" Aphmau grinned as she walked around us in a circle.

Then, my eyes widened as I looked at the armor more closely.

"Garroth, don't these seem familiar to you!?" I asked alarmed.

"... Yes, they are!" Garroth said. He then explained to Aphmau how he should me his designs for new armor, and that it was the exact same uniform.

"Nevertheless, we should repay Katleyn for her kindness. Take the diamonds in the chest and give them to her." Said Garroth.

"Will do... You should take off your helm! I wonder what you'd look like in your new armor without it." She said.

Garroth pulled his helm off, and honoring our oath, so did I.

"Oh... I didn't think you would actually do it." Aphmau said.

"I was simply following my Lord's wishes." Responded Garroth. Aphmau smiled and left.
