Episode 65
A/N So I made a big skip to the part with the guards. Ok, bye!
Melanie's POV
It had been about a week since Aphmau left with Kiki to the wolf tribe. Laurence and I were considered dating, but we still kept serious when it came to our guard duties.
Aphmau hadn't sent any letters though, and she was taking an awful lot of time just to go to the wolf tribe. Garroth, Laurence and I were worried. We decided to go after her.
~~~~~~~~~~~
We walked through the castle, looking around.
"What is this place?" Asked Garroth.
"I'm not sure..." I said. Then,
Everything went black
<<<VISION(3rd POV)>>>
Melanie walked through the forest with Laurence and Garroth, talking and laughing. Then, an arrow whizzed past her head and into a tree.
"RUN!" Yelled Laurence, grabbing Melanie's hand and pulling her away. Garroth ran quickly by her side. Arrows kept whizzing dangerously past their heads, and when it came to distance fighting, arrows won over swords any day.
Then, Laurence's hand went missing from Melanie's grip, and she turned around.
"LAURENCE?!?!" Melanie cried.
Laurence's body was on the floor, with an arrow passed right through his heart. She cried out in surprise.
"LAURENCE!!!" She yelled, running towards him. But, more arrows passed next to her, and Garroth grabbed her arm.
"Melanie, we have to go!" He yelled.
"Not without Laurence!" I said. Then, Garroth had no choice but to grab her arm and pull her with him so she didn't die the same way Laurence did.
"GARROTH WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Cried Melanie, struggling from his grip.
All of a sudden, a thumping sound was heard, and Garroth's grip on Melanie's arm disappeared.
"NOOO!!! GARROTH!?!?!" Melanie cried out in shock.
Someone grabbed her by the arm and pulled her away, leaving her screaming and crying for her family.
"Melanie, I'm sorry! But I had to save you!" Melanie turned and saw Aphmau crying.
"I lost my lover and my brother!" Melanie yelled, tying to run back into the forest. Aphmau kept her grip strongly.
"I can't let you. Garroth wouldn't want me to." Said Aphmau, tears dripping down her face.
And Melanie knew she would never see her family again.
<<<VISION OVER(Back to Melanie's POV)>>>
"Garroth, Laurence!!!!" My voice rang through the castle.
"Melanie, STOP SHOUTING!" Yelled Laurence. I opened my eyes and looked around. Garroth had his hands on my shoulders, trying to wake me up. Laurence had a panicked look on his face.
"You guys are alive!" I sighed with relief.
"Why wouldn't we be?" Asked Laurence. I started to cry.
Then, a noise was heard on top of the staircase. I looked up, and saw Aphmau.
Holding hands with a blue haired man.
They shared a look on their faces that Laurence and I shared. I looked over at Garroth.
"Hey mister, get your hands off her." Cried Garroth.
"Garroth, their holding hands." Laurence said, trying to get him to understand.
"Let go of her sir!" Garroth said, standing up.
"Garroth, they're kissing..." Laurence trailed off. I bit my lip, hoping Garroth wouldn't do anything rash.
Then, a flash of white passed through the room. I didn't even notice Garroth had attacked the man with blue hair. The couple was replaced by a little boy who looked like a ghost.
If he's a little boy, that means...
"P-PLEASE don't hurt me!" It cried, tears streaming down its face.
Then, Aphmau appeared from behind us, along with the blue haired guy.
"Guys!? What are you doing here?" She asked.
"We were worried about you. We decided to check up on you. Hey... HES THE GUY-" Aphmau cut off Garroth.
"No! The ghost gave off a vision. I'm not really... With... Him..." She said, smiling slightly.
"Aphmau, what are we going to do with this child?" I asked.
"I'm going to have a talk with him first." She said.
Aphmau walked up to him, and bent down.
"Hello. I'm going to have a quick talk with you, ok?" She asked. The ghost nodded slowly.
While Aphmau, the ghost and Garroth talked, Laurence took me outside the castle.
"Melanie, I have to tell you something. Inside, I had the weirdest dream... You and Cadenza died." Said Laurence. I bit my lip.
"You and Garroth died in mine." I admitted.
Laurence walked up to me and slowly pulled off my helm.
"I-I'm sorry. I just needed to see your eyes..." He trailed off. I smiled and pulled him into my arms, kissing him. Laurence kissed me back, his fingers entangled in my blonde hair. My hands raked through his brown hair, and our eyes were closed. I pulled apart, and he opened his eyes, his blue eyes mesmerizing me.
"I don't know what I'd do without you, Melanie." He murmured.
"Me neither Laurence." I said, giving him a quick peck on the lips.
Me neither...
