A/N Again, NO CHANCES OF LAURMAU IN THIS BOOK! That's the only plot I will be changing.

Melanie's POV

As soon as Zane left the situation, I ran up to Laurence.

"Laurence, are you ok?" I asked. Laurence flinched a bit, and I must've scared him on accident.

"Oh, I'm sorry-"

"It's fine Melanie. And yes, I'm ok." He assured. I smiled, then hugged him.

"I'm sorry about Aphmau, it's just that I know you and Garroth care for her, and I don't think having her arrested is good for you two." Laurence said. I squeezed my grip on him a bit more.

"Come on, let's go to the barn." I said. Laurence frowned.

"Can you guide me a bit more then Cadenza did? She told me to follow her voice, and I swear I ran into all the buildings on the way here." He said. I smirked.

"Of course, Laurence." I said, grabbing his hand and intertwining my fingers with his. I could see him smile as I led him to the party.

A loud knock on our door woke up Garroth and I. As I woke up, a horrible pain grew in my head. We put on our armor just in case, and Garroth opened the door. A panicked Kawaii Chan was there, rubbing her hands together.

"Garroth Kun, Melanie Chan, something dark is going on! Please. WE NEED TO MAKE SURE APHMAU SENPAI IS OK! KAWAII CHAN CAN FEEL IT, ITS VERY DARK! It's hurting Kawaii Chan's head." Kawaii Chan cried, running to Aphmau's house. We chased after her, but I stopped.

"Garroth, go see what's wrong with Melanie! I'm going to check on everyone else." I said. He nodded, and ran to Kawaii Chan. I ran down the village, and saw Kiki trying to find her animals. I ran into Dale and Molly's house, knowing Zane had threatened Alexis. The pain in my head worsened, and it hurt to think but I ran up the stairs anyways.

"Dale, is Alexis-"

Suddenly, a blast of black flashed through the house, and the next thing I know, the crib in where Alexis laid was engulfed by black and purple mass. It woke up Molly, who sat up and ran to the mass.

"ALEXIS?!?!" She yelled, trying to break open the mass, which was a failed attempt.

Aphmau ran up the stairs at that point, worried.

"DONT WORRY PRINCESS, DADDY IS GOING TO GET YOU OUT OF THERE! MELANIE, MOLLY HELP ME!" Cried Dale.

"We can't break it!" I yelled, Aphmau trying anyways.

"It must be Zane, I'll go get him!" Aphmau shouted, running outside. I ran after her, but then, we were interrupted by seeing the purple and black mass in the plaza.

"W-what's going on?" Aphmau cried, running into the plaza. I ran with her.

The plaza was filled with the mass. An altar was in the very middle, and Alexis lay on it, asleep or unconscious. Zane stood behind Alexis. Fire was lit in the plaza too.

"WHAT HAPPENED HERE, WHATS GOING ON?!" Yelled Aphmau, running to Alexis.

"Not one more step, Lord Aphmau." Zane threatened.

"What happens if I-?"

"I'm tired of playing these petty mind games, you're going to wish you never questioned me." Zane said.

"NOW WITNESS THE TRUE POWER OF THE SHADOW REALM!" Yelled Zane, throwing a potion at Alexis. I pulled out my sword, and then, a white flash happened.

Instead of Alexis, a grown adult stood there, all dressed in red armor. She ran to Aphmau, and started attacking.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!?!?" I yelled. Aphmau was struggling, and trying her best not to hurt Alexis.

"MELANIE, WHAT DO I DO?!" Aphmau's yells filled my ears.

"I-I DONT KNOW!" I cried.

Molly ran into the plaza at that moment. Alexis walked up to her.

"......... H-have you seen my baby?" Asked Molly.

"Molly, don't-"

Alexis pulled off her helm and fell to Molly's feet.

"M-a-m-a?" Asked Alexis, right before blacking out completely.

"Aphmau, this woman called me mama, what does this mean?" Molly asked in a hushed voice. Aphmau stood there, unable to think. I had my mouth gaped open, but clenched my sword tight.

"I'm about to find-" I said, turning to face Zane. He was nowhere to be seen.

"Wh-where did he go?" I asked, panicking. Aphmau stared at Molly, who was staring at Alexis. I panicked.

And then everything went black.

All of Phoenix Drop was on fire. I saw Aphmau and Garroth, who wasn't wearing his helm, try to put out all the fires. Someone shot an arrow, and it hit Aphmau's back. She crippled down, and in a blink of an eye, she was gone. Garroth mourned her, then stood up and looked straight at me. But, he walked past me. I turned and saw Laurence holding a bow. Garroth frowned.

"You killed my love." Garroth growled. Laurence smirked.

"You're the reason mine is dead." Laurence sneered. Garroth's eyes widened.

"She's dead?" Asked Garroth. Laurence frowned.

"You... You left her for dead. HOW COULD YOU?!?!" Yelled Laurence, his hand gripping the bow.

"I thought you were there! I saw you carry her into the house!" Yelled Garroth. Laurence's face fell.

"Y-you mean it was no one's fault?" Asked Laurence. Garroth nodded.

"What have we done." Laurence mumbled.

~-VISION OVER-~

"Melanie, are you ok?" As I woke up, I realized I was always waking up to someone asking me that.

"Who is it?" I asked, not having opened my eyes.

"It's me, Laurence." I opened my eyes.

"Laurence? What happened?" I asked.

"You've been asleep all night. Garroth and Brian have been examining the house that Zane was staying in. Apparently, there are sights of dead bodies." Laurence said. I shivered, then realized I was in Laurence's room.

"Have you slept, Laurence?" I asked. He shook his head no.

"I couldn't. I was worried about you." Laurence admitted. I smiled.

"I'll be ok, Laurence. This is a normal thing. Unless, you know, I have a nightmare like I did today." I said.

Today must've been a nightmare... It didn't make any sense...

"What's a nightmare?" Asked Laurence.

"For me, a nightmare is a dream of my greatest fears; losing people I love, dyeing and leaving my family... All sorts of things." I explained.

"That sounds horrible." Laurence said.

"Yeah, well I gotta suffer through it." I said, getting up.

"I have to go, Laurence. I have to meet up with Garroth. I'll see you later?" I asked.

"For sure." He said. I smiled on my way out, knowing that if I waved, he wouldn't be able to see it.

A/N Ok, guys! I'm doing a pretty good job at editing, if I do say so myself. Hopefully, I can pass through the whole Laurmau thing without ruining the entire story. So, that was episode 56 & 57. I'm telling you now, rewatching this video got me SO MAD AT ZANE!!! I remembered the reason we all started to hate Zane was this video, because it's when all the #dieZanedie and the #killZane and the #Zanedieahorribledeath happened. Actually, the last one is something I made up. Someone trend that, though!
