The trio and Dragon arrived at Duloc overhead. A large group of guards stand outside the church on watch. Dragon lands nearby and the guards flee in terror. Dragon looks at Donkey after him, Mery-Berry, and Shrek climb off her back.

Donkey: Go ahead, have some fun. If we need you, I'll whistle. How about that?

Dragon smiles and nods, and takes off towards the town streets. Shrek and Mery-Berry ran to the church doors but Donkey hurried to get in Shrek's way. Mery-Berry looked at him with a confused expression.

Donkey: Shrek, wait, wait! Wait a minute! You wanna do this right, don't you?

Shrek: What are you talking about?

Donkey: There's a line, there's a line you gotta wait for. The priest is gonna say, " Speak now or forever hold your peace. " And that's when you say, " I object! "

Mery-Berry: I don't get why that line is important.

Donkey: You'll understand when you're older, Mery.

Shrek: Oh, I don't have time for this!

Donkey: Hey, wait. What are you doing? Listen to me!

Shrek pushes past Donkey but he pins Shrek against the door, causing Mery to whine as she wanted to stop the wedding now before it's too late.

Donkey: ( to Shrek: ) Look, you love this woman, don't you?

Shrek: Yes.

Donkey: You wanna hold her?

Shrek: Yes.

Donkey: Please her?

Shrek: Yes!

Donkey: ( Singing: ) Then you got to, got to try a little tenderness. ( Talking: ) The chicks love that romantic crap!

Mery-Berry: ( confused: ) Huh?

Shrek: All right! Cut it out! When does this guy say the line?

Mery-Berry: We have to check it out. ( Gets the idea ) Uncle Donkey, are you afraid of heights?

Donkey: Uh, no, why?

( A few seconds later )

Shrek was tossing Donkey into the air, so he could see through the high window.

Mery-Berry: What do you see?!

Donkey: The whole town's in there. ( tossed in the air ) They're at the alter! ( Tossed in the air) Mother Fletcher! He already said it!

Shrek & Mery-Berry: ( at the same time: ) Oh, for the love of Pete!

Shrek runs inside without catching Donkey and Mery-Berry follows him inside.

Shrek and Mery-Berry bursted through the doors, interrupting Fiona and Farquaad before they could kiss, and they ran down the aisle.

Shrek: I object!

Fiona: Shrek? Mery?

Mery-Berry: Drop the rings and keep the lips where we can see them!

Farquaad: Oh, now what does he want?

Mery-Berry stood back and watched as Shrek walked ahead towards the altar. Mery-Berry was ignoring the whole congregation, as she wanted to have all her focus on Shrek and Fiona.

Shrek: Hi, everyone. Havin' a good time, are ya? I love Duloc, first of all. Very clean.

Fiona: ( to Shrek and Mery-Berry: ) What are you doing here?

Farquaad: Really, it's rude enough being alive when no one wants you, but showing up uninvited to a wedding-

Mery-Berry: ( hisses at Farquaad ) ( to Farquaad, with a serious expression: ) Shush you, and go get a tree shove down your throat before I claw ya!

Shrek looked at Mery-Berry in shock, before he brush off Farquaad's rude comment and turns his attention to Fiona.

Shrek: Fiona! I need to talk to you.

Fiona: ( to Shrek: ) Oh, now you wanna talk? It's a little late for that, so if you'll excuse me-

Mery-Berry went in-between Fiona and Farquaad and she pushed Farquaad away from Fiona.

Mery-Berry: Nope. Listen to Shrek, Auntie Fiona.

Shrek: ( to Fiona: ) You can't marry him!

Fiona: And why not?

Shrek: Because--because he's just marrying you so he can be king!

Farquaad: Outrageous! Fiona, don't listen to him-

Shrek: He's not your true love!

Fiona: And what do you know about true love?!

Shrek: Well, I- uh- I mean...

Fiona is taken aback by this, and Mery-Berry glared at Farquaad when he started laughing.

Farquaad: Oh, this is precious. ( Laughs ) The ogre has fallen in love with the princess! Oh, good lord. ( Laughs )

Mery-Berry then glared at the man that Farquaad had hold up a card that says " Laugh ". The whole congregation laughs.

Farquaad: An ogre and a princess! ( Laughs )

Shrek looks back at the laughing crowd and then down at the floor, dejected.

Fiona: Shrek, is this true?

Farquaad: Who cares?! It's preposterous! Fiona, my love, we're but a kiss away from our " happily ever after. " Now kiss me!

Farquaad then shoved Mery-Berry out of the way, causing her to fall on her butt. He holds Fiona's hand, pucker his lips, and leans towards her. She looks down at him in disgust, and then averts her attention to the window. The sun is just about to set.

Fiona: " By night one way, by day another." I wanted to show you before.

Fiona backs up and gives Shrek a sheepish smile. As the sun sets, she changes into her ogre self. The crowd gasps and one person faints, Mery-Berry claps her paws happily. Shrek stares at Fiona in astonishment, and then grins.

Shrek: Well, uh, that explains a lot!

Fiona locks eyes with Shrek and smiles.

Farquaad: Ugh! It's disgusting! Guards! Guards! I order you to get that out of my sight now! ( Mery-Berry hissed at him ) And get that stupid cat too!

A large amount of guards run in and grab a hold of Shrek and Fiona. Mery-Berry hissed at the guards who were surrounding her, and tried to get a hold of her, but... she just pounced on one of them and started attacking and clawing at him, the guard screams in pain.

Farquaad: Get them! Get them! Jerry, it's just a kitten, get a hold of yourself!

Fiona: No, no! Shrek! Mery!

Mery-Berry then kicked the guard named " Jerry " in between the legs and tried to run to Shrek and Fiona as they tried to grab each other's arms but are pulled away from each other. Farquaad grabs ahold of his crown and puts it on.

Farquaad: This hocus-pocus alters nothing! This marriage is binding, and that makes me King! See?! See?!

Fiona: No, let go of me! Shrek!

Shrek: No!

Mery-Berry: Stop! Let go of Auntie Fiona and Uncle Shrek! Or I'll claw you so bad that your grandkids will feel it!!

Farquaad: Don't just stand there, you morons!

Shrek: Get out of my way! Fiona!

Mery-Berry started to tune out everything as she started panicking as she watch more guards subdue Shrek by numbers after he knocked a few guards and as Farquaad started acting crazy and threatened Fiona. But then suddenly Dragon, with Donkey atop her head, crashes through a large window behind Farquaad. He drops his weapon and looks up, before he screamed as Dragon swoops down and swallows him up in one gulp. The guards either run away or stepped back.

Donkey: All right! Nobody move! I got a dragon here, and I'm not afraid to use it. And unhand that little kitten, right now!

Mery-Berry was released and she happily looked up at Dragon and Donkey with a wide smile.

Donkey: I'm a donkey on the edge!

Dragon beltches and Farquaad's crown flies out of her mouth and falls to the ground.

Donkey: Celebrity marriages. They never last, do they?

The congregation laughs and cheers, while Mery-Berry was confused as she didn't get the joke.

Donkey: Go ahead, Shrek.

Mery-Berry then watched Shrek and Fiona with a smile.

Shrek: Uh, Fiona?

Fiona: Yes, Shrek?

Shrek: I- I love you.

Fiona: Really?

Shrek: Really, really.

Fiona: I love you too.

Shrek and Fiona kiss. A scary looking man takes one of the cards and writes " Awwww " on the back and shows it to the congregation. Suddenly the magic of the spell pulls Fiona away. She's lifted up into the air and she hovers while the magic works around her. Mery-Berry looked at what was happening in awe. Once the magic disappeared and broke all the window, except one with an image of Farquaad which was broken by Dragon. Fiona is lowered to the ground and Shrek & Mery-Berry run up to her.

Shrek: Fiona? Fiona. Are you all right?

Mery-Berry: Auntie Fiona, are you okay?

Fiona slowly stands up, still an ogress.

Fiona: Well, yes...but I don't understand. I'm supposed to be beautiful.

Shrek: But you are beautiful.

Mery-Berry: In any shape or form.

Shrek and Fiona then smiled at each other, and Dragon gently picked Mery-Berry up by the scruff. Mery-Berry happily let it happen and began purring.

Donkey: ( is holding back tears of joy ) I was hoping this would be a happy ending.

Shrek and Fiona kiss and the kiss fades away into...

Cut to the swamp.

...their wedding kiss. Shrek and Fiona are now joined in matrimony in Shrek's swamp. Among the attendees are the fairytale creatures once banished to the swamp, as well as a few Duloc guards. Mery-Berry is seen in a cute flower girl dress with a tiny basket of flower petals in her paws, standing beside Dragon and Donkey. Shrek and Fiona walk down the aisle to their awaiting carriage, which is made of a giant onion. Fiona tosses her bouquet of flowers which both Cinderella and Snow White try to catch, which resulted in a cat fight. Dragon catches the bouquet instead. Donkey looks nervous, but Shrek and Fiona gave him reassuring looks and Mery-Berry gave him a reassuring nod before she tossed some petals in the air. The Gingerbread man, who was mended somewhat by Mery-Berry and now has one leg and walks with a candy cane cane.

Gingerbread man: God Bless us, everyone.

The guests party and dance as Donkey starts singing, Mery-Berry dances while tossing flower petals in the air. Shrek and Fiona ride away in their carriage.

Donkey: ( as he's done singing, and starts breathing heavily as he is out of breath. ) Oh, that's funny. Oh. Oh. I can't breathe. I can't breathe.

Mery-Berry: Yeah! ( Tosses a paw full of petals in the air with a smile ) ( giggles )
