It had been a month since Aarav had brought Manvi to his flat. It was early morning, he takes a shower and wears his uniform. He places his gun into the cover to side and glanced at himself in the mirror. He wore his cap and attached his name batch. It is always pride for him to wear the uniform. After a month he will be joining back, he moved out of the room and sat down on the breakfast table. 

Manvi had a satisfactory smile on her face seeing him in the uniform. Aarav placed the medicines on the table along with supplements "This is your afternoon medicine and supplements please have them. Lunch is into the fridge along with juices and for emergency doctor's number is also noted. A lady constable is standing outside anything invite her in" he informed her.

"Aarav this is all not necessary, I can take care of myself" she replied

"till you are my guest, you are my responsibility!" he said. He eats his breakfast and left the flat. He  came downstairs and hoped on his bike. He heads off towards the police station. Within half an hour he reached and parked his bike. He glanced at the station and remembered the humiliation he had faced in front of everyone. 

He marched inside and everyone stood in front of him. They saluted him "welcome back Sir" they said in unison. 

A smile curved up his lips "I hope in my absence everyone worked" 

"Yes Sir.. we worked on confidential cases" Shinde informed him. 

"so let's work harder and lock some criminals behind the bars" Aarav said with the same energy and gets to his work. 

Aarav's home

Manvi had been sitting on the couch and watching television. Her phone beeped, she looked at it and it was reminder about her medicines. A smile appeared on her face, she takes her medicines and texts Aarav about it so that he doesn't get worried. 

"I am stuck in a case will be late" He texts.

She replies "Don't worry! I will wait for you at dinner.." she was about to text it but deleted it as she had lost that right on him. She replies "Alright"

She decides to prepare something, she went to the kitchen and prepares his favourite food. "I know Aarav nothing can be same between us like earlier but I want to keep our friendship the way it was in college days" 

It took her three hours to prepare the Biryani. She places it on the dining table and the door bell rings. She runs and opens the door. The smile faded away seeing Alisha at the door step. Alisha narrowed her eyes and smiled "hey.." 

Manvi stepped aside and Alisha entered the house. Alisha smells the aroma of the biryani, she glanced at the dinning table. Aarav's favourite flowers were kept into the vase and his favourite food was prepared. 

She turned and glanced at Manvi "Do you think by doing all this you will get his love back?" 

Manvi denied "no Alisha.. I was just.." 

"you were what Manvi? Didn't I warned you that your affair will hurt Aarav tell him the truth but you didn't listened to me.. you divorced him and he was broken! You made his life miserable so stop doing all this!" Alisha confronted her.

Manvi gets hurt with her words, she was trying hard to forget everything for the sake of the baby but she freshened her wounds again. "Alisha please"

"Why the hell are you even here Manvi? Don't you have any shame for what you had done with him? He was generous to you... but I won't let you play with his emotions again so you better find a place to live and raise this illegitimate child!" Alisha shouted at her. 

Manvi gets tears in her eyes, she silently listened to her accusations. "He was trying to heal and you kept on calling him! Manvi you are.." 

"Alisha.." the anger voice echoed into the hall. 

Alisha looked at the door and Aarav was standing there. Manvi runs into the room and locks herself. Aarav feared she might harm herself, he run and knocked at the door "Manvi please open the door" he said in concern. 

Alisha just couldn't believe he still cared for her. She was frustrated seeing him getting hurt again and again "Aarav just stop it! she only gave you pain why you still care for her??" 

Aarav shouted "Shut up Alisha! I know what had done with me but if I had picked up her call that day that bastard Sameer wouldn't have raped her!" 

Alisha gets stunned hearing him.  He drops down on the floor "Why you didn't let me pick any calls Alisha that day? I wouldn't have faced that humiliation and she wouldn't have suffered this much" 

"Aarav I care for you.. can't you see I get hurt seeing you in pain" Alisha said with teary eyes.

He jerked her hand off "That's why you planned everything with Sameer"

Alisha gets stunned hearing his words. Aarav glanced at her with disgust and she gulped down her throat "Aarav.. what are you saying?" 

Aarav smiled "Alisha you can fool Manvi but not me! I know everything.. how did Sameer got to know that I was coming to his house with search warrant? When I was away on mission at the same time you went away how is this co-incident?" he asked 

Manvi opened the door hearing his words, she glanced at Alisha in state of shock. "how the hell Sameer know about Manvi's preference of choices? she had only shared all that with you or me Alisha.." 

Alisha closed her eyes for a minute. She takes a deep breath "Yes, you are right I was involved with Sameer.. I told him everything about Manvi" 

Manvi's eyes widened hearing her "what?? Alisha that means.." 

"Yes I am involved with Sameer but trust me I never knew that he will hurt you this much and his intentions are to ruin Aarav's name he promised me that he will only separate you and him" Alisha said with tears in her eyes.  

Aarav grabbed her by arms "Alisha! why? you were our best friend how could you do this?"

"It was an act of love Aarav! I loved you and wanted to have you.." she confessed and Aarav was left in disbelief hearing her confession. 

Alisha sighed deeply "I was heartbroken after your marriage with Manvi.. one day I meet Sameer" 

She remembered the meeting. She had been sitting in the cafeteria and glancing at the honeymoon pictures of Aarav and Manvi. Her heart cried loud seeing him in her arms. Why couldn't he notice the love for him in her eyes? She cleaned her eyes and a person sat down in front of him. She looked at the stranger and gave him a look. 

He snatched her phone and began to scroll the pictures. He removed his glasses and smiled "such a hot couple.. I really wish he was with you" 

"Excuse me who are you?" Alisha questioned him.

Sameer smiled "I am Sameer Khurrana.. I am here to help you"

"help me?" I asked bewildered.

"You can make him yours and only yours.." Sameer said 

Alisha gets up from her place "what the hell? shut up.." she leaves from there. 

She sits into the cab and Sameer gets inside the cab. Alisha just couldn't believe it. Sameer said "Alisha I know you love from 5 years and I can help you get him! he will be only yours.. he will hate Manvi" 

"No.. they are my best friends" Alisha refused to part them away. 

"then suffer whole life! see them romancing, get jealous.. make your life simple just imagine you and him instead of him and her" Sameer showed her the dream. Alisha gets lost for a moment thinking about her future with Aarav. 

She asked him to get off the cab, Sameer left leaving his card behind. Manvi and Aarav returned from honeymoon and Manvi shared every detailed with her. Alisha gets insecure hearing her, she saw Aarav doing everything for her when Manvi doesn't even appreciate him. She always demanded more and if Aarav was with her she would have accepted it with whole heart. 

One day, Aarav shared with her "Alisha why can't she understand? I cannot afford everything but I try my best to give her happiness.." 

She grabbed his hand and smiled "Aarav I know you work hard.. she will understand come on now smile" 

He smiled a bit "You are so understanding Alisha" 

Alisha looks at the card and went to Sameer's office. Sameer smiled seeing her "I knew you would come to meet me.." 

"Aarav and Manvi are having arguments in their marriage! He is not happy with her" she said 

Sameer said "Don't worry I have a perfect plan to part them away! after that divorce you will handle broken Aarav and he will be all ours" 

He shook hand with her and everything happened according to the plan. Alisha informed him about arguments, Manvi desires and Aarav giving more time to his duty. 

She came out trance of her thoughts "I just wanted you Aarav.. I didn't knew he would use her to ruin you otherwise I would have never supported him but the minute I realized his plan I backed off" 

Aarav just couldn't believe her words. "Alisha you took advantage of our arguments! instead of sorting them out you told everything to Sameer and he used that against me! I shared everything with you so that you can fill the gap between my and her relation but you parted us away.. you broke my trust I will never forgive you! just get out of my life!" he shouted

Alisha denied "no please Aarav.." 

"you are my best friend that's why I am not arresting you.. otherwise I would have thrown you behind the bars! but your punishment is you will never see my face your act of love ruined my life.. love is about sacrificing, happiness not being selfish" Aarav said with teary eyes. 

Alisha looked at Manvi, she couldn't believe it "Alisha if you wanted you could have stopped me from betraying Aarav but you let me have that affair.. but it's not completely your fault I was the one who wanted more than what I already have" Manvi sighed deeply. 

Alisha left the house in grief and pain losing two of her best friends all because of her one side act of love. Manvi looked at him and found him in pain. She was about to place her hand on his shoulder but he didn't wanted to raise any false hope for her that they can be together.

He showed his hand and walked off towards the bedroom leaving her in tears of guilt.
