Aarav's POV

I was arrested, treated like a criminal by my own department. Within a day, my reputation, my name everything was ruined and I was tagged as "dishonest and bribed cop". This didn't bother me much but I was worried for Manvi. Sameer had fulfilled his desire to ruin me and send me behind the bars. He won't keep her alive as she is sole witness of everything. 

Shinde saw me getting beaten up, he went back to his desk and began to look at the footage. My other colleagues who trusted me helped him cracking the mystery about Sameer. 

"oh my god! Shinde look Maan is so similar to Sameer" the officer showed him the records on the PC. Maan's blood group matched with Sameer's.  Shinde glanced at it and was confused. 

"Aarav's Sir college is also same! get more information about this Maan" Shinde ordered and he collects more information about him. 

Shinde calls the retired officer who had selected me for police training and gets information. He places everything into a file and heads towards commissioner's house. He shows him everything and Commissioner glanced at him.  

"Sir Aarav Sir was getting blackmailed and this video is the reason he is silent" he showed him the video of Manvi. 

Commissioner was shocked knowing the side of the story. He glanced at time and said "Shinde within an hour he must be presented in the court.. we have to catch that Sameer red handed as he is influential personality and no one will believe us" 

Shinde smiled and went back to the police station. 

I was taken to the court, Shinde glanced at me and left his gun carrier open. I gave him a look and he signaled me that he has clue about Sameer's hideout. I picked up his gun and held him in between my arm grabbing him by neck. I pointed gun towards his temper and warned the officers that I will shot him. "Stop the van!" 

"Aarav put the gun down" the inspector warned him.

"Dheeraj I swear I will kill him stop the van" I shouted. I fired in the air and the driver stopped the van. I stepped out of the van with Shinde and stopped the car. I pushed out the man and run away with Shinde in it. 

Shinde glanced at me and smiled "Sir.. you are genius" 

"Shinde soon they will catch me.. I need to find Manvi before that tell me where is she held captive?" I asked

"In your flat sir" He said leaving me in state of shock. 

"my flat? how is this even possible?" I questioned him. 

He showed me the footage and paused it. I noticed a picture on the wall covered with black cloth but the frame was visible. Shinde eyed at me and showed me another picture "Sir this is your study room" 

"Shinde you have done a great job." I accelerated the car and headed off towards my flat. Within 20 minutes, I reached and takes the staircase towards the flat. My study room is sound proof so even if she was screaming no one would hear her. I can't go through the front door, I rushed to my neighbor house and knocked the door. She opened the door and was left shocked to find me. 

"You.." she was about to shut the door on my face but I held it.

"Please Manvi's life is in danger!" I pleaded her. She looked at me and read my eyes. She saw some kind of honesty and lets me inside with Shinde. I went to the  balcony and jumped to the pipe. I reached the balcony of my flat but the door was locked. I tried to open it with my trick and finally managed to open it. I went inside and Shinde followed me. The house was in complete darkness, windows covered with black paper and a few goons in front of the study room. I knocked them down and disguised as one of them along with Shinde. 

I moved inside and saw her in worse condition. Sameer had been threatening her to kill her but wanted to reveal the entire truth. Shinde records the confession as this will prove my innocence. 

I fired the minute he was about to shot her and finally he was taken into the custody. I sat inside the police van and apologized to the police officer for my behavior. He shook his head in no "No Aarav I am sorry you had to bear our third degree torture but"

I smiled "if I was at your place I would have done the same thing" 

I was taken to the hospital instead of police station. Shinde pointed towards my injuries which needs urgent treatment. I walked into the hospital and the doctor treats my wounds. He takes out the bullet from my arm and it didn't pain me much. I remembered Sameer's words and it was enough for me to remind me that my wife was unfaithful towards me. 

Alisha entered the room, she looked at me with a smile on her face. She run and hugged me tightly addressing her concern towards me. "Finally the truth is out I am so happy to see you Aarav" 

I placed my hand on her back "I am fine Alisha.." 

She parted the hug and said "so you are coming to my house till you get fine"

"no Alisha I can take care of myself don't worry everything is over" I replied.

She glanced at me and smiled "take care anything just call me" she kissed my forehead softly and left from there. 

A few days passed by and no inspector came to take me to the cell. Shinde entered with a smile curving up his lips. He turned on the television and I looked at the headlines. 

"Inspector Aarav Malhotra was never dishonest! he had fulfilled his duty with his bravery.. it was all conspiracy against him by Sameer Khurrana the criminal in disguise of industrialist. He was protecting the citizen of the city. Our department is proud to have a honest, fearless cop like him" The commissioner said in the press conference. 

"We respect Aarav Sir, without him this police station is soulless Sir we are waiting for your return with same pride" the constable said

"Oh yes I know him from years he didn't even gave any bribe for his training how would he take bribe and involve in drug case? He is an inspiration to many and I feel guilty that we failed to trust him" 

"he had saved girls from human trafficking risking his life. my daughter is with me because of him! he can never be wrong ASP Sir we need you" 

Aarav gets emotional hearing this. Commissioner entered the room next along with officers who interrogated me. 

Dheeraj placed my batch, gun and uniform in front of me. "Aarav I cannot afford to lose honest, brave officer like you! You can take rest as much as you want but you are taking charge of your police station that is my final decision" he said

"Yes Aarav, no one wants your replacement! they just want their Aarav Sir" Commissioner said

Dheeraj placed the file on the side table and smiled "I have filled case against DSP who was involved with Sameer in sending you to back to back mission and releasing the criminals who attacked your ex-wife! Sameer had planned really well.. but at last the truth wins" 

He leaves from there along with the commissioner. I told Shinde that I want discharge. He agreed and moved to speak to the doctor. I got off the bed and caressed my uniform and other things. 

I placed everything into my bag and walked out of the room. I stood in the queue to make my bill payments but the person informed me department had cleared the bill. I remembered something and told them the name. I cleared all her pending payments and walked out of the hospital. 

I saw her standing at the corner of the street. It had been to rain heavily, the people around began to rush but she remained standing still at her place. I took out my phone and called her parents. 

Nandini picks up the call "maa.." 

She smiled "Aarav I am so relaxed to hear your voice son! thank god you are proven innocent!" 

"Maa manvi..." I said

A silent prevailed for a minute between us. She said "Aarav, cheating you it was her choice even if Sameer had planned such circumstances. I am sorry but I will never forgive her" 

I ended the call hearing her words. Shinde brought the jeep and I sat inside. I told him to go home and I will manage everything. He agreed and took an auto to his house. I drove the jeep and stopped in front of her. I was looking straight on the road, she kept on staring at me trying to understand why I am being sympathetic towards her. I placed my leg on the accelerator and made the sound. She sits inside the jeep and I drove off towards house with a pin drop silence between us.
