Aarav's POV

I reached a place with the team, I heard a few girls crying. I signaled them and they took their spot. I said to wait for his signal and he will go himself. 

Shinde said, "But sir.." 

"listen to my orders," I said firmly.

I walked ahead and grabbed the man in my arms. I turned his head and he died on the spot. I threw him away and went deeper. 

I shot a few men down and run behind the mastermind. I grabbed him tightly and began to punch him "Bloody scoundrel there is no escape from me" 

He smirked and suddenly I felt an instant pain in my stomach. I ignored it and kept on holding him tight. I took out the handcuffs and tied his hands behind his back. Shinde came with the team and I pushed him towards him. "take him away" 

I opened the door of the van and the girls gets scared. I assured them "Nothing to worry I am here to save you all"

They smiled a bit, the lady constable comes and gets them out of the van. I placed my hand on my stomach and walked towards the jeep. Shinde tried to grab me but I stopped him showing my hand. 

I slowly began to lose my vision. The blood had been oozing out from my wound, I dropped but Shinde grabbed me "Sir.. please I will take you to the hospital" He placed me into the jeep and headed towards the hospital. 

I could hear only the sounds in my semi-consciousness state. I had been taken to the OT and soon I lost consciousness completely. 

I opened my eyes and looked around. I could hear the life equipment sound, I sat up straight and placed my hand on my stomach. I looked down and there was a white bandage. 

"Aarav are you out of your mind?" a voice hits my ear. I looked up and it was Alisha. 

She scolded me "Why do you have to become the hero? the team was there, right? why did you go alone?" 

I silently looked at her, she took a deep breath and said "Are you okay?" 

I shook my head positively. There was a knock at the door, I looked and one of the girls whom I saved yesterday was there with her mother. They walked inside and the girl forwarded the bouquet of flowers to me. 

"Thank you, Uncle!" she said in her innocent voice. 

I smiled and caressed her head. Her mother had tears in her eyes, she folded her hands "Thank you, Sir" 

"It was my duty," I said. 

"take care uncle bye," she said and left with her mother. 

I had always dreamt of having a daughter of my own with Manvi but she shattered all my dreams with her act of love. After my parents' dismissal, she was my family and now I am again left alone. 

Alisha held my hand and squeezed it lightly. The doctor entered and I said "I need discharge" 

"Aarav you are deeply wounded you need to take care of yourself" the doctor advised. 

"I can't rest," I said

"Aarav listen to doctor! enough of your carelessness.. enough of duty" she scolded me. 

"Alisha.." I felt pain in my stomach. The doctor asked me to lie down and I followed him. He gave me painkillers. 

Alisha gave me a look "You are coming with me to my house! Got it" she said and I didn't argue with her further. 

I rested for some time and then I got the discharge. I sat up, I picked up my shirt and Alisha helped me with it. I looked at her and she smiles "You are hot.." 

I laughed a bit hearing her. "You are flirting with me?" I said

"Yeah! you aren't married anymore" she winked at me. 

I got up and she placed my arm around her shoulder and helped me walk with her to the exit of the hospital. 

She made me sit inside her car and drove off towards her home. "Aarav I will stop by your flat to get some of your stuff.. tell me what you need?" she asked

"Just take a few pair of clothes," I said

Alisha stopped the car in front of the building and went to the flat. She returned in 20 minutes carrying a bag with her. She placed it behind the seat and then drove off towards her house. Within half hour of driving, the car halts in front of her house. I got out of the car and walked inside with her. 

I sat down on the couch and she said "I will make something for you" 

"no Alisha it's fine" I refused

"Shut up Aarav" She glared at me and went to the kitchen. I smiled at her care for me. My phone rang, I got up a bit to take it from the bag. 

Alisha came out and picked it up. She stared at me "Aarav no phone calls!" she answers the call 

"Shinde Aarav needs rest for two days! do not disturb" she ordered him 

She placed the phone away, then got the food and forwards it to me. I ate the food and then she took me into the guest room. 

I sat down on the bed and placed my head on the bed rest. I shut my eyes and let the tear escape my eyes. It has been weeks since I had divorced her but couldn't get over the pain of her betrayal. I remained in this position for about two hours. 

"Aarav," the voice said

I opened my eyes and saw Alisha standing in front of me again with the box in her hand. 

"need to change your dressing," she said

She sat down beside me, I opened up my shirt buttons. She gently removed the bandage and I winched in pain a bit grabbing her hand tightly for a moment. She stared at me with a smile. She took out the fresh bandage and placed it on the wound. 

She looked up at me and I stared at her. We were just a few inches away from each other. She wiped tears from my cheek with the tip of her fingers and assured me she is always with me in every circumstance. 

I had fallen weak, she brought her lips closer and kissed my lips. I responded back and deepened the kiss. It turned passionate, she placed her hand on my shoulder and removed the shirt from my upper body. I placed my hand on her hair and kissed her with more urgency. She moaned a bit and I got a chance to enter into the mouth. I began to explore her mouth with my tongue and she fought for the dominance.

 I removed her top and she placed her lips on my neck. She began to plant wet kisses on my neck and I closed my eyes. It reminded me of her, it was her favorite thing to do and I smiled "I love you, Manvi.. please don't leave me" 

Alisha parted away hearing my words. I realized what I was doing.  She looked at me in a state of shock "Aarav.." she didn't expect me to speak something like that. 

I felt embarrassed, I wore my shirt and apologized "I am sorry Alisha.. it was just weak of the moment I am really sorry" 

Alisha was left disheartened hearing me. She smiles a bit and cupped my face "I understand.. it is her fault she couldn't understand how much you love her" 

I smiled a bit "Alisha I am sorry..." 

"Don't be" she said and picked her top. She wore it and her eyes were filled with tears. I knew I had hurt her but I couldn't do anything about it. 

I can't be sinister like my ex-wife. She left the room and I got up from the bed. I walked out to the hall and picked it up my phone. It has 10 missed calls from an unknown number. 

I redialled but no one picked it up. Alisha came and said "Aarav I told you no phone calls" 

Aarav smiled and kept the phone on the table. "Are you okay? I am sorry if I had hurt you" I said with guilt for kissing her and almost raising her desires. 

"I am fine Aarav come on go back to your room," she said forwarding me the water bottle. I nodded and went back to my room.
