Aarav's POV
I, Aarav Malhotra in my early 30s. I am a police officer. Since childhood, I wanted to serve my country.

I was 5 years old when my parents passed way in an accident. I was brought and raised in the orphanage. I worked part-time to pay my college fees.

I fell in love with Manvi when I first saw her at the college. She was arguing with seniors who were trying to bully her. I saw her but couldn't confess my feelings for her till Alisha introduced me to her.

We became good friends and fell in love with each other deeply. After my graduation, I went for police training after my selection and return back to Mumbai after a year as a police officer.

I hated cops who were dishonest, corrupt. I never left any criminal for even a single penny of the amount offered to me. I did about 10-15 encounters for which I was given a bravery award and promoted as an ASP within 5 years of my service.

It was truly a blessing for me, I felt Manvi was my lucky charm in my life without her I am incomplete.

I had to leave for Delhi, because of some terrorist activities before our engagement. On the day, I ran behind them along with my team and ended up injuring myself in the shootout.

I killed both of them and smirked "Aarav Malhotra se koi bach nahi sakta"

My colleague praised me and tapped my shoulder "Brave mam, but you are injured let's go to the hospital first"

I agreed and went for the treatment. I sighed, as I was late and won't be able to reach the venue on time. I booked the flight and immediately left for Mumbai.

I reached the venue and apologized to her. I even surprised her with our new apartment and we spent a romantic night together. Later, in the morning I dropped her home. 

She hopped off the bike and I held her wrist. She glanced at me and said "Aarav.." 

"what? I will see you on the wedding day till then miss me" I said with a smile on my face. 

She looked down shyly and then said "don't injure yourself, I am expecting you to come on the helicopter instead of on a horse on the wedding day.." 

I was thinking about it and smiled "not a bad idea Miss Manvi Sharma.. after all, I am Aarav Malhotra who is a daredevil" I winked at her. 

She kissed my cheek lightly and went inside the building to her apartment. I headed off towards the police station. 

I reached the police station, parked the bike and went straight inside. The officers saluted me and welcomed me as their new ASP. 

"congratulations Sir.." Shinde said

I smiled and went to my cabin pushing the door. I was shocked to see a man sitting there. I glanced at him, he had kept his feet on my table and eyed me. 

I approached closer to him and folded my palm into a wist started to roll it. He kept something on the table "inspector, this is 5 lakh rupees free my son" 

He was minister of the town and I arrested his son on drugs and rape charges. I denied "I can't free your son" 

"don't you know who I am?" he questioned me. 

I smirked "Yes I know but this is an area and I am don of this police station please leave," I said in a polite tone but the minister threatened me. 

I lost my temper, I slapped on his face and threw him out of my cabin. Everyone watched the scenario, I screamed at him "ye police station hai tere baap ka ghar nahi jo tu mujhe rishwat dega aur main tere nalayak bete ko chod dunga samjha.. nikal yahan se" 

The minister was embarrassed, he pointed a finger at me "You raised a hand on a minister, you won't be spared inspector I will ruin your life" 

I gave him a tough look and he left from there. Shinde came to me and said "Sir, he is really powerful you are about to get married please be careful" 

"Shinde, If I stay scared he will threaten me more don't worry he can't do anything till I have all the proofs make sure his son gets at least 15 years of imprisonment" I ordered him and went to do my work. 

I was checking some important files, someone marched inside and I looked. I was surprised to see my best friend cum family Alisha standing in front of me. 

"What??" I gave her a look as she was glaring at me in anger. 

"do you know it's your wedding in two days?" she asked crossing her arms around my chest. 

"of course I know" I replied to her. 

"then, you suppose to be attending pre-wedding rituals not doing your duty" she almost yelled at me. 

I asked her to lower her voice "Shh.. this is my police station" 

"I don't care, you are taking off I don't want Manvi to complain about you come on" She gave me an order. 

"Alisha listen, I have some really important work" I explained, she moved to me and pulled out my gun. She pointed it to my head and shoot a deadly at me. 

"Aarav... before I shoot you, better move out with me" she threatened me. I gulped down my throat, there are only two females in life who can rule me completely. 

One is her and the other is Manvi. I can't deny anything to them, I agreed and moved out of the cabin. I gave instructions to the senior inspector. 

"Sir, don't worry we will take care of everything" he assured me and I moved out of the police station along with Alisha. 

I reached into my old flat along with her and was surprised to see it decorated. Many guests already present. Most of them were from the orphanage, some of them were Alisha's family members. I glanced at her, she winked at me. 

"All the pre-wedding rituals are going to happen, come on change Manvi's parent's will be here soon for the Tilak ceremony" She exclaimed. I agreed and moved to my bedroom. 

Manvi's POV

I entered the flat, all the relatives and guests were present in the hall. I looked around and slowly moved into my room. I stopped when my mother called out my name "Mannu (Manvi)" 

I closed one eye and bit my tongue out. I covered my marks on my neck with my dupatta and turned around. I smiled at her "Good morning maa.." 

Nandini glanced at the watch hanging on the wall and said "it's 10 am mannu, Aarav told us he will drop you by last night" 

"Maa.. wo.. wo" I was just trapped. I don't know what to answer her. I saw her glancing at me suspiciously. 

She approached me closer and said "go and take bath and make sure you rub those marks before your father questions you" she removed my dupatta and I was embarrassed. 

Nandini smiled and smeared my head. I took a deep breath when she left the room "Aarav.. you are screwed!" 

I immediately took the bath and moved out. The marks on my neck were still visible, Aarav was just too wild. I murmured "now I have to hide it the whole day arghhh" 

I moved out and saw Karan and Nandini with some gifts. I questioned them "maa Dad what's happening?" 

"We are going to Aarav's home for the Tilak ceremony" Karan replied.

I got excited and said to come along but Nandini stopped me "Mannu.. control just two days" 

I looked away, Karan smiled and they left for Aarav's home. I really became so impatient, I love him so much. I just can't wait to be his bride. 

Karan and Nandini reached Aarav's home. He took their blessings and they did the Tilak ceremony. 

Nandini said "Aarav, now I will see you on the wedding day" 

"and no duty..." Karan warned him. 

Alisha said "uncle don't worry, I have hidden his phone till wedding day" 

Aarav just eyed her and sighed.. After a few hours, Karan and Nandini returned back to home. 

The next day was my Haldi ceremony. I got ready in yellow attire and wore flower jewellery. I snapped a picture and sent it to Aarav saying "if you are brave, then come and put haldi on me" 

I just love to put him into trouble. 

Aarav read the message and smiled "sure Shona!" 

"oh no.. Dad will kill you we are not allowed to meet till the wedding" I replied back. 

"But, I love to break the rules" he answered back. 

"No... You are an inspector you not allowed to do that" I said and kept my phone on the bed as my mother called out my name. 

I moved out of the room and sat down in the middle on the small stool present there. My mother applied Haldi on my face, hands and legs followed by others. I thought "Aarav, it's almost over you can't come" 

"Mannu please go and take bath then we will begin with Mehendi" Nandini spoke, I agreed. I lifted up my lehenga a bit and moved towards my room. I closed the door and then moved to the bathroom. 

I removed the jewellery, suddenly cold hands touched my waist and I screamed "Aah.." 

A palm-covered my mouth and my eyes became wide. I was just shocked to see Aarav standing in front of me with a smile on his face. 

I heard my mother noise "Mannu are you alright beta?" 

"Yes, maa.. just a big lizard in my bathroom" I shouted, passing a look to Aarav. I assumed Nandini left after I assured her I am fine. 

He laughed, I hit him hard on his chest "are you mad?? how the hell did you enter my bathroom" I questioned him. 

He pulled me closer by keeping his hand on my waist, I crashed on his chest. He smiled and said "you only challenged me. I climbed and got inside from the balcony of your room" 

"but.." before I could complete my sentence, he applied the Haldi on my cheek by pressing his face on mine. 

There was a Haldi ritual at his home too, he must have definitely taken Alisha's help to reach my place. He whispered "Told you, I love to break the rules" 

I eyed him, I was just staring at him without even blinking my eye for once. He had turned on the shower and we were just getting wet. Before I lose my control and someone sees us in this condition I asked him to leave. 

"no.. I was saying why don't we take bath together" he said naughtily. 

I just pushed him out of the bathroom and then to the balcony "leave Aarav.. before some else comes" 

He smiled and left from there.....   I remembered the moment I just had with him and covered my face with my palm out of shyness.
