Manvi's POV

Even my mother abandoned me, no one understands how much it hurts to be alone when the person you love doesn't care. He neglected me many times and left me alone for months and because of him, I had been attacked. He failed to protect me and he is still right? 

Sameer is my last hope, after all, he was there when no one was with me. He gave me love, and care, and fulfilled all my desires which I expected from my husband. He understood my pain and loved me unconditionally. 

Suddenly, I began to feel dizzy. I dropped down on the road itself losing my consciousness. 

I opened my eyes, it was blur view. I shut my eyes and opened them again to get a clear vision. I tried to recall the last incident and remembered myself falling on the road. I sat up straight and looked around. It was a hospital room, I wondered who brought me here. 

I found a lady in a white coat speaking to the nurse, she turned towards me and passed me a smile "How are you feeling?" she asked

I nodded positively "I am fine doctor who brought me here?" I asked with curiosity. 

"An auto driver" She informed me, for a moment I thought it was someone I knew but the reality hit me hard. 

"You need to take care of yourself," she said

I gave her a look and questioned "What happened to me?" 

She smiled broader "You are pregnant" 

My eyes became wide hearing her words. I asked, "Are you sure doctor?" 

She forwarded the reports to me, I quickly opened them and read "positive". I didn't know how to react to the news, was it even good news for me? I placed my hand on the belly and tried to feel it. 

I am pregnant, a life is taking breaths inside me. I got divorced from my husband, my parents abandoned me and God blessed me with this miracle. Is this Sameer's child? I took a deep breath, I asked the doctor to discharge me. 

She did the formalities and I made the payment. I walked out of the hospital took my reports and booked a cab for myself. I picked up my phone and called Sameer but he wasn't answering my calls. 

I received a message after a while "In a meeting sweetheart! will call back in sometime" 

Within an hour, I reached his bungalow. I stepped from the cab and walked to the entrance. I entered the hall and found him speaking to someone over the phone. 

He looked at me with a smile on his face and disconnected the call. He approached closer to me and hugged me tightly "Missed you so much" 

I hugged him back and smiled "I am.. pregnant" I revealed

He parted the hug and looked at me in a state of shock "What??"

"Yeah.." I said with a smile

Sameer looked at me amazed, I asked "Aren't you happy?" 

"no.. I mean it is a big news congratulations" he said kissing my forehead. 

"Aarav and I are divorced now" I shared another piece of news with him.

His eyes shined hearing me "That means you are all mine completely" he said with a smile on his face. 

"Yes," I said. I told him everything that happened, how he got to know about our affairs, and my parents disowned me. 

"Don't worry I am always there to protect you! you are not alone" he said cupping my face and I placed my head on his chest which was my comfort. 

Her phone rings, she picks up the phone and it was Alisha "Hey Manvi how are you?" 

"I am fine" I replied

"Actually there is a court date to finalize your divorce with Aarav could you come tomorrow?" she asked

Why is she calling me? Why didn't Aarav inform me about it? I sighed deeply "Fine tell me the timing" 

"tomorrow at 9 am" She replied

I ended the call and looked at Sameer, he asked "What happened?" 

"court for the divorce" I informed him

"I will come along with you," He said grabbing my hand. 

I agreed he asked me to take a rest and I went to the bedroom. I lay down on the bed and placed my hand on my belly. Is this all sign of starting my new life with him? I closed my eyes and soon drifted into sleep. 

The next morning, I took a bath and stepped out of the room. I opened the suitcase and took out my clothes. I wore them and stepped down the stairs. Sameer held my hand and took me to the breakfast table. I sat down on the chair and the servants served the food. 

I ate the breakfast and soon left with him to the court. 

Aarav's POV

I prepared the breakfast for myself and sat down on the chair. I called out "Manvi get my coffee" In a fraction of a second I realized she isn't with me. I sighed deeply, I ate breakfast and stared at her picture which was still in my wallet. Her betrayal had shattered me and today with divorce I will end our relationship and bury that love in my heart forever. 

I picked up my wallet and left the flat taking my bike keys. I reached the parking and sat on it. I headed toward the court. He reached the family court in 20 minutes, he parks the bike and his phone rang. 

He picked up "Yeah Shinde" 

"Sir I have some information about the attack on your wife," he said,

"what it is?" I questioned. He spoke something but my eyes fell on a car stopping. It was BMW and I could see a woman and a man inside. They stepped out and for the first time, I saw that bloody man in front of my eyes. 

I ended the call before I could listen to Shinde. This man had no shame? how dare he came to the court? 

Manvi looked at me, he grabbed her hand and I turned towards the court. My eyes turned moist, I cleaned them before the tear could drop down from his eyes. He composed himself and walked towards the court entrance. 

Shinde called him again but I placed the phone on silence. I meet the lawyer he wanted to discuss some points. I said "I don't have time just get it done I have to go to the police station" 

"Please come in," he said and I went inside the courtroom. I sat down on the chair in front of the magistrate, after a minute she came in and sat down beside me. 

"Before I finalize the divorce I would like to ask a few questions," she said

"You had a love marriage am I right?" she asked

"Yes," I answered. 

"What happened that within two years of marriage, you decided to end your marriage even after 5 years of relationship?" She questioned. 

"She has an issue with my job and I cannot quit it," I said instantly

"he never gave me enough time" She replied

"Didn't you know about his duty before the marriage?" the magistrate asked

I looked at her and she remains silent. "I knew but I can't live with him with fear of losing my life, I was attacked many times in his absence," she said

"6 months.." 

"I need divorce immediately," we both said in unison. 

The magistrate looked at us "Are you sure?" she again asked for reassurance. 

"Yes," Manvi replied looking towards Sameer with a smile. 

 The magistrate glanced at Sameer and then at Aarav. She stamped the papers and said "Alright, you both are legally divorced now" 

I got up and moved out of the courtroom. I sat on my bike, Sameer came and smiled "Sorry about that! You lost the most beautiful girl in the universe" 

"Keep her happy always! You can give her what she expected from me" I said with a smile and left from there. 

I came to the police station and entered my chamber. Shinde had been waiting for me, he placed a piece of paper on the table and said "Sir here is the details of those men who attacked your wife" 

I picked it up, tore it, and threw it into the bin as I am not interested in knowing anything now. I glared at him "This chapter is over get back to other cases" I yelled at him

Shinde nodded and left the chamber. I sighed in disappointment, I yelled at him for no reason he was just doing his duty. 

My phone beeped, I checked it and it was the message from Alisha "dinner tonight at my home to celebrate your bachelor hood?" she asked

A smile appears on my face and I texted "Sure!" and got to my work.
