Manvi's POV

I was arranging the clothes in the wardrobe, and just then I heard the doorbell sound. I closed the wardrobe and run towards the door. I opened it and was left shocked to find Alisha with Aarav. 

Aarav smiles "Surprise.." 

Alisha glanced at her Manvi and smiles lightly "hey.. mannu" 

"Alisha.. suddenly?" she questions. 

"well.. I invited her! I thought of picking her up from her office way back home" Aarav said.

I smiled at him, he glanced at me "are you going to keep us waiting outside?" he asked 

I stepped aside letting a way for them, they walked inside. Aarav said "I will quickly change and come!" he headed towards the room and Alisha sat down on the couch. 

Manvi rushed to her and gave her a look.. "Alisha... Aarav" 

"Relax! I haven't told him anything about your affair with Sameer but I won't be able to lie to him for long so you better tell him" Alisha warns her. 

"Alisha please.." I said closing my eyes. 

"he loves you a lot Manvi! you have cheated on him..  he deserves to know the truth otherwise it will be painful for you too" Alisha concludes. 

I sighed deeply, I was scared to lose him if I reveal my affair with Sameer which I ended after his return. 

"Look Alisha I am trying to mend my relationship with him please don't complicate it for me more" I almost begged her. 

Alisha was to speak something but Aarav stepped out of the room. He looks at us and smiled "So girls! what are we having for dinner?" he asked.

"Aarav I was thinking if we go to our old place?" Alisha asked.

"that's a great idea Alishu.. Manvi let's go" Aarav said.

I nodded yes and a trio of us walked out of our flat.  We headed towards our favorite restaurant. Aarav sat down beside me and I smiled at him. He held my hand tightly and Alisha coughed fakely "Guys control I am also with you"

"So what? you know how much we love each other" He said hitting his head with mine lightly. 

"yes I know it well," she said and I glared at her. 

"so let's order.." Aarav said and picked up the menu. 

The waiter arrived and Aarav ordered the choice of their food. 

"Aarav.. you remember my favorite food?" I asked amazed. 

"of course I do.. just because I couldn't give you enough time that doesn't mean I will forget everything related to you," He said with a smile on his face. 

I was touched by his words, Alisha admired us "Aww.. how cute Aarav.. Manvi do you remember his favorite food?" 

"of course she does.." Aarav said confidently. 

He glanced at me and I said "emm... Paneer butter masala" 

He was surprised to hear me "you know I hate that," he said. 

I just realized I said what Sameer likes. I glanced at Alisha and she sighed in disappointment. 

Aarav smiled "it's okay.. let's have the food" 

The food arrives in 10 minutes and they have it. Aarav made the payment and they moved out. 

Alisha receives a call and she attends it. She is left in disbelief "What?? relax calm down.. I will be there" 

She disconnected the call, Aarav questioned "What happened Alisha?"

"a corrupt police officer arrested my friend on some false charges.." She said in a panic tone.

"What?? let me see.." Aarav said.

He looked at me and said "Manvi I will just go and help Alisha meet you at home in three hours" 

I nodded yes, eyed her, and said "inform me when things get sorted"

"Are you sure??" she asked.

I agreed and Aarav moved with Alisha into the cab. I stopped an auto and headed towards home. 

After about 15 minutes, the auto stops. I looked around and it was still way to the home. I asked, "what's wrong?" 

"There are a few bikes in front of the auto mam" the auto-driver replied. 

I glanced at them, and the bikers got off the bike and approached my auto. They pulled me out of it and I was shocked at their actions. 

I shouted, "leave me..." 

"she is that bloody inspector's wife.. we will kill her today," the masked man said. 

He took out the dragger and pointed towards my neck. I gulped down my throat out of fear. I pushed him and run away from there. They kept on following me, I hide behind the car and then thought of calling Aarav. I realized my purse is left inside the auto. Again because of him, I am in trouble. 

I heard the footsteps, I run away and they fired on me. I kept on running for my life and was hit by the car. I shouted "please help" 

The car door opens and a person steps out of it. A smile appeared on my face as it was Sameer. I hugged him tightly and tears brimmed down my eyes. Sameer caressed my head and calmed me down "shh.. relax nothing will happen to you I am always here to protect you" 

He asked me to get inside the car. I sat in and he fought with the goons. They fired on him and the bullet hits his arm. He punched the goon and they run away from there shouting "tell that inspector if he again comes in our way! you will be dead" 

I took heavy breaths and was still frightened. Their words echoed in my ears, Sameer sits inside and kept his hand on my shoulder. I turned to him and he said "they are gone now.. calm down" 

I noticed the blood oozing out from his arm. I touched it "Sam.. the bullet," I said out of concern. 

"It just passed by" Sameer replied. 

I tore a piece from my cloth and tied on his arm to stop the blood from oozing out from his wound. 

Sameer stared at me and smiled "I still love you and remember your life is very precious to me no matter what I will protect you" 

I looked in front and wiped tears from my eyes "I had it enough! please drop me home" 

Sameer agreed and headed towards my building. Within 20 minutes he halts the car in front of my building. I got off and walked inside without looking back at him. 

Here Aarav was at the police station helping Alisha to free her friend. Aarav glared at the inspector and shouted "I hope you don't want to get suspended.. free him" 

The inspector gets scared and finally frees Alisha's friend. Alisha was elated, she hugged him "thank you Aarav.." 

"It was my duty, Alisha.." Aarav replied with a smile on his face. 

Alisha's friend also thanked her and Aarav assured him there will be no FIR or any charges against him. 

Aarav sat on his bike and headed back home. 

I sat down on the couch closing my eyes. The incident had been still haunting me. The doorbell rings, I got up and opened the door. Aarav was standing there with a smile on his face. 

He looked at the watch on his wrist and said "as I promised I have returned in three hours" he kissed my cheek lightly. 

I was annoyed and walked into the bedroom. Aarav was confused by my reaction, he followed me and asked "Manvi are you okay?" 

I turned to him and shouted "no I am not okay! do I look okay to you?" 

Aarav asked "what happened? why are you so angry?" 

"your honesty had again risked my life Aarav! three goons attacked me again.." I shouted. 

Aarav's eyes became wide, he cupped my face and asked "What?? are you fine?? who were they?" 

I jerked his hand away and shouted "please Aarav! don't pretend that you don't know about your enemies! every time because of you I have to suffer" 

Aarav tries to calm me down, he made me sit on the bed and caressed my hair "calm down please.. tell me what happened?" 

I told him about the attack on the auto when I was returning home. Aarav tends to think and wondered who could be behind the attack. 

"Manvi I won't spare those goons.. how dare they attack you" He fumed in anger. 

"stop it Aarav! this is not the first time.. it will happen again and I don't want to die because of you and your duty" I confronted him. 

I said something which left him in complete disbelief.
