Chapter 9

Megara's POV

 Time Skip... Two Months Later...

     Hades and I have officially been dating for two months now and it has been amazing. I've been down here in actuality for so long though, I'm ready to make it official... I'm ready to become immortal. The status of being a goddess doesn't really matter to me, having the ability to be with Hades permanently means far more. I take a deep breath and walk into Hades' throne room. He's just finishing up torturing a soul when I approach him. He flashes me a charming but sincere smile that I adore. "Meglet, my darling, what can I do for you? I was just finishing up with a soul here as you can tell. The poor thing was dreadful to deal with but now is on his way to where he belongs."

       I raise an eyebrow. "I see. Where do you did send the poor sucker? To the frilly meadows?" He scoffs. "Something like that. I know that look on your face though, you're thinking too much. What's floating around in that complex mind of yours Meg?" I look at him seriously. "Hades, I'm ready." He raises an eyebrow at me and asks "Ready for what?" It takes a minute for the realization to dawn on him that I'm ready to begin the process of becoming immortal. Hades who rarely is ever shocked about anything gasps audibly. "Are you sure? This is the most important decision of your life so far. This isn't a decision that can be reversed so I want to ask you one more time. Meg, are you sure?" I nod and with absolute certainty say to him "I'm sure."

        Hades' serious expression shifts into one of pure delight with a trace of relief dashed in. "I'm so happy to hear that babe. Now there are two options to this immortal path. One is that that you eat an alluring succulent and become immortal after a power nap. The other involves a bit more power... the other option is becoming Queen of the Underworld. That's a role I think would suit you well. The choice is completely up to you." I know in my heart the choice I want to make, I want to rule with Hades as Queen of the Underworld. It would be an honor." I grin at him. "I know which choice I'm going to make. Hades, I would be honored to be your Queen. I would be honored to rule the Underworld alongside you. Heaven knows that some of these souls could use a bit of female guidance as well. No offense babe." 

        Hades grins and nibbles at my ear. "I was hoping you'd pick that choice my love. So the introductory ceremony isn't as intense as I made it out to be before. So you stand in front of my throne, balance a few fire sticks, quote a few verses, and with the snap of my fingers... you are my queen. How does that sound?" I smirk. "I think I can handle that. Let's get the ball rolling." Hades nods and the two of us immediately begin the process. The entire process takes about an hour. Before Hades snaps his fingers, he eyes me up and down. "Just so you know, your hair is going to become jet black rather than its current dark brown state. Is that okay?" I nod and he snaps his fingers. The magic kicks in and I stare at my reflection in the mirror. I look at myself in awe. My outfit has been changed and my hair is indeed jet black. I've never had black hair before... but I love it! 

           I smile from ear to ear. "I don't think I've ever looked better." I do a twirl and let Hades soak in my new appearance. "What do you think?" He growls. "I think you look sexier than ever. As much as I love that dress on you, I want to rip it off of you and make love to you all night." I move closer to him and begin undressing him. "What's stopping you? Let's make love." He scoops me up into his arms after undressing me completely and gently places me down onto his bed... scratch that, our bed. We indeed make passionate love all night long, celebrating both my immortality and my new goddess status. Let Zeus eat his heart out having to process this news.
