My dearest Historia,

          Reiner is standing to my side. He is catching glimpses as I write this letter of my love for you. What a creep, he is never getting a girlfriend. But he did promise me that he would deliver this letter to you. He says he wants to repay me for saving them that day.

I'm sorry for what happened then. I never imagined I would choose them over you. I'll be dead not long after these words. But I don't regret anything.

I didn't have a name. I didn't know who my parents were, or where they were from. My earliest memory is of being one beggar among many. But one day, a man showed up and gave me a name.

Ever since then, people called me Ymir.

You may not think it's much of an unusual name, but all I had to do was take it, and then I was given a fine bed and fed meals. That wasn't all. Those adults who, until then, acted like I was invisible all got on their knees and revered me. As for the man who named me, he began ti dress more and more extravagantly, and as he did, he grew happier.

I felt good, too. All I had to do to make everyone delighted and happy was play the role that I had been given. That's what I believed. And that's why I kept playing the part of Ymir.

People had started to call me devil before I knew it; but I still kept playing the part of Ymir.

The man who had given me a name claimed that I had "tricked him."

Still, I kept playing the part of Ymir.

I thought if that's what would save them, it would be fine. But...

There are some people in this world who have rocks thrown at them for nothing more than existing. As their symbol, I was stoned from head to toe.

It seems that in this world, it doesn't mean anything in particular that a simple chunk of flesh can scream and flail.

No.

It doesn't mean a thing.

That's why I think the world is so incredible.

I opened my eyes again, and spread before me was freedom.

From there, I began to walk and I lived the way I wanted. I have no regrets.

Or so I'd like to say. But to be honest, I do have one.

You and I still aren't married.

I was delightened that Reiner agreed for me to send this letter to you. I was suprised myself actually. He was supposed to check and guard me, the contents of my letter to you. But there are parts of us that wanted to help you guys. No, I want to save you. Reiner wants to save you as well.

First of all, as I had explained on the previous page, I was named as Ymir, little did I know the history of our kind. Outside those walls, there is a much larger world that we should discover. Rather, you should discover and see.

Currently, I am at a place where our kind is abandoned. Yes, abandoned by the first ever King of our race. King Fritz, your direct ancestor. I don't know much about it, but the people here, soldiers rather, people like Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie, they call themselves as Warriors. They serve a certain group of people who call our bloodline devils.

From what I have heard, there are total of 9 titan shifters. One was Eren, the beast titan, the cart titan, the hammer titan, jaw titan, colossal titan, armored, the female titan amd lastly the founder. All of them had different powers, and it seems that 2 of it is inside Eren. They are after the coordinates, if I am not mistaken, it is the power of the founding titan. Keep Eren safe at all cost.

I also heard and saw that there is something special about the current holder of the beast titan. He can command titans at his will and to do whatever he wanted. The previous spy, Mr. Thomnas, they killed him after using him. We were hiding within the walls, observing. But of course, me as an outsider to the group. I'm not sure how Mr. Thomnas became a titan, but Zeke said something that triggered Mr. Thomnas, and he suddenly became a mindless titan. Later on, Zeke commanded him to climb up the walls carrying us and escaped the walls of rose and maria.

The beast titan seemed to be Eren's brother. I heard them the other day, talking. Annie and Eren escaped, in which I don't know why they didn't include me. For the past months, Annie has been sneaking up to Eren's room every night. I guess they have planned their escape since then. I don't understand but Annie is quite aloof to the others, not that it is new. Although it seemed a little bit fishy, I'm quite sad that they left me, but I already accepted my fate. The life that I have borrowed from the previous Jaw Titan lasts until here.

Please be prepared for a war. I have seen how the other titans fight. It seems that the state where our abandoned kind was staying is at war with other states. I really don't get much of what is happening, but there are many more people around this place than you think. They use titan shifters as they fight, and in order to inherit the titan power, an Eldian must turn into a titan and eat the previous holder of the titan. That's how I turned to human before, I accidentally ate Reiner and Bertholdt's friend, the previous jaw titan holder.

The beast titan's specialty is his ability to command and how accurate his throws are. Jaw titans have strong jaws, the cart titan, be careful, she has guns on her back. I don't have any information about the hammer titan, I haven't seen it either. You already know Reiner and Bertholdts titan. They will attack you guys soon.

Reiner is still beside me, watching what I write. He lets me write this stuff but doesn't really add information to what I have gathered. He doesn't even tell me if what I am writing is correct or not. But still, he lets me.

I have one last request for you, please live. For me, at least. My life ends here, I promised them that I will surrender and I will give then the titan that I unintentionally stole before. Sadly, but  that's the end of my journey. I also heard that you have become a queen now. I hope that I have served the Queen well with this sole letter. I hope that I was helpful to you until my last breath. I love you.
